Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone knows how long after a laparoscopy you can start TTC again. I am scheduled for a lap next week and will O a week later - wondering if I will catch this cycle or have to wait a few months?
Cheers

It's probably best to wait, but it really depends on how tender you are feeling afterwards.
My SIL was back to life as normal the next day, but I took about 10days to recover (probably cause I had a few cysts removed).
I had a Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy and dye flushed through my fallopian tubes on 4th March. I was told to wait until the bleeding had stopped and I felt comfortable. We BD'd one week after the op with no problems.
However, my procedure was just diagnostic, if they need to treat any problems they find it could mean a longer rehab.
Good luck:fingerscrossed:

I have had two laproscopic surgery's - but they were both for ectopic pregnancy's. The first time round it took 4 weeks for me to recover enough to feel up to making love - but the second time it only took 2 weeks.

Hey there, good luck. I have had two lap's for endometriosis. Both took me a good two weeks to recover from - I also had hysteroctopy's as well (noice...). I was told to wait 2 weeks before doing the deed, not that I could have anyway.
You might find that your cycle may be a bit 'off' following the surgery - knocks your body around a bit - especially if they do any lasering etc... Talk to your doc about it anyway - they're the experts!
Good luck x
