Further to my thread on a Brilliant Paed in Newcastle I thought I had better let people know of the absolutely excellent paediatric surgeon that we were fortunate to be directed to by Dr Buckner.

Dr John Cassey has his rooms in Cardiff but he operates at the John Hunter hospital and at the Warners Bay Private hospital.

Dr Cassey performed the surgery on our son and he did a wonderful job. We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a paediatric surgeon.

Hey thanks for that! I've got a referral here to see John Cassey about DD1's labia fusion and was wondering if he was good or not.

Also, If you ever come across Michael Lonergan in your journey he is also a wonderful paed!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has contact details for Dr John Cassey, particularly a postal or email address?
Thanks, Laura

And DR Micheal Lonergan is a great pead, he has been our pead since my son turned 2 as he can't see his neonatoligist anymore... But he works wonders and I live in Tamworth yet im able to call on him whenever i need to he is a tru blessing...

:iagree: :iagree: & :iagree: on all 3 counts!!!

We had Dr Bucker for 3 of my kids - all pre-term from 35weeks. He was brilliant, and fully supportive of me using doner EBM for my prems when I went home, even though the hospital was not!

Dr Cassey performed my DS2's bi-inugual hernia op at 11weeks - brilliant!!!! Very re-assuring and kept us informed every step of the way.

And Dr Lonergan - he was seeing one of the other bubs when we were in the SCN, she had been seeing him since her first bub, and couldn't speak more highly of him!

I have used Dr Cassey, and have recently found out a friend had also used him. He has a poor bedside manner and contradicted himself when I asked about all the options for my child's operation. My friend had also had a bad experience with him and as she said 'botched surgery'. I wouldn't recommend him.

Ooh I love Dr Lonergan. He's just wonderful! All the nurses at NPH just adore him!
