Hi. I am new here
My Name is Caroline but my friends call me Cazz
My husband and I have been TTC for 8 years and 6 months now, with quite a few bumps on the way.
The last two and a half years have been filled with Full on TTC attempts both naturally and through ART
In 2003 we did five unsuccessful cycles of injectable meds. That was pretty hearbreaking as I felt my doctor and the ovulation induction clinic were not listening to me. I took a 6 month break and went to see a naturopath and finally got my cycles on track to what they should be doing so I went back last year. The first round of injectables with IUI was successful but I miscarried at 5 weeks the following two rounds with IUI were unsuccessful and we stopped because we could not handle it any more.
In december last year we finally decided to give up TTC all together and in January I found myself staring at a BFP. again I miscarried at 5 weeks and was devastated but we took it as a sign that we should not give and again in February I found myself with another BFP. Again we dealt with another m/c at five weeks. Amazingly enough in March it happened again. BFP at 4 weeks m/c at five weeks.
I wanted to give myself a break from perhaps another pregnancy as I feared that so many cycle after cycle may not be good either so I avoided what I needed to at ovulation time and I thought all was good.........Funnily enough my body decided to really trick me and I spontanoiusly ovulated on CD31 and 14 days later I got a BFP. I knew I was pregnant days befre doing the test.
On monday I woke up and just knew I was not pregnant any more. I am just waiting for the bleeding to start.
Back in January I had made an appointment with a new specialist and the appointment was on monday afternoon and after going through my history treatments etc she decided my best path would be IVE and she wants to do it ASAP so has planned it for August. I have to have a HSG a hysteroscopy and a lap before then and then have my IVF consultation at the Royal womens at the end of July!
A whole lot of information to take in all at once but I am finally glad to be heading in aposative direction.
I had never heard of this site before and am a regular poster on a big American based Site.
I am hoping to find other Aussies to talk to about all of this.
I am sorry this was so long....I am sure I could have made is much longer too. hopefully I have not bored anyone.
I am really hoping to get to know other women in Australia and hopefully Victoria and even more hopefully in my area of Berwick that are going through this process. anyone who reads this can feel free to email me any time cnkaeser@hotmail.com
