Family meet ups in townsville

I am interested in meeting other families. i have a 5 months old and a second bub on the way.
i would like to have meet ups with other families as my husband is missing out during the week and doesnt have other fathers to talk to.
plus i think it would be good for our partners to be involved in our little ones social lives....:smiliedance:

Hey there... yeah, sounds good. I was bringing my DP to the weekend meet (I think this is what you're referring to Kristi) and he didn't really have a choice. He complains about not knowing anyone so figured this was as good a chance as any (we're both new here). Maybe if I said bring a beer, chips and dip along that might encourage him more... oh, and his unicycle... who said boys ever grow up?

yeah with the alcohol we have to be careful if we meet up in a public place. you dont want it spoiled by people getting fined.

i was sort of thinking do a bbq at my house somewhere where there is toys for the kids and dads.

I didn't realise you weren't allowed alcohol in a public place, that sucks!!! Guess we NZers are a little more liberalised with our "picnics"... oh well, might just have to be coke... or we can pile around to your place. I would offer our place but we don't have any toys nor a BBQ so wouldn't be that fun.

If you and your partner are interested you could meet us before hand. i know you probably wont be able to make it on the tenth i remember last year i was so busy getting used to a new routine.
