but am i the only one who still mashes veges for a 15 month old???

My ds is 19 months old, and most of the time he eats mash vegies..When he does eat boil or steam vegies, as I cut up his vegies for him and mix it all up, most of the time, it sort of become mash, lol..

my DS is 2.5 and will only eat mashed vegies he hates big chunks of vegetables, but he does eat stuff like spagetti and fried rice and other chunky stuff its just the vegies that have to be mashed..
like you said its good for him so let him eat it the way he wants it
I only recently stopped mashing vegies for my girls (2 + 3).
I stopped because the 3 yr old won't eat any veggies at all anymore and the 2 yr old will eat them whole now.
My 19yr old brother has crohns disease so he makes mashed veggies all the time still!

MOTH is 40 - he still occasionally asks for mashed vegies:laughing::laughing:
Some nights I mash the vegies, mix ehh through them, lightly fry - I think it's like Bubble & Squeak - and we all eat them!
If he eats vegies - pfft - go for it:yes:

I don't think it's a problem at all. My husband still loves mashed potatoes and mashed pumpkin.

We have veggies of all kinds, cooked in all different ways, and our favourite is mashed potato and pumpkin together. What harm can it possibly do?
Oh dont worry about that, Bailey is 2 years and 3 months and he loves vegies but will eat them mashed alot easier than whole. If I put a whole bit of pumpkin on his plate or a potato he goes "Yucky mummy" so if I take it and mash it he gobbles it up in a second...So strange LOL! But kids will be kids and my mum said I was the same as a child, but now I hate my vegies mashed! And to be honest Bailey is the same with fruit, prefers it pureed! But he will eat spaghetti, chunks of meat, lasagne and all other chunky things.
Dont worry, as long as they eat vegies thats the main thing.

If you think about it even as adults we still eat mashed veges, i.e. mashed potato.
My DS is 19 months old and he loves his mashed veges, he laso loves his fruit mashed or pureed. It's not like he can't eat it chopped, cause he does sometimes. He just prefers it mashed.
I figure if he's eating things that are good for him, why stress about what form they are in.
