Hello, I'm a St George Mum too, actually belong to a toddler playgroup in Rockdale which meets on Thursday mornings, if anyone is interested in that, apart from a meet up. Look up the playgroup on the Playgroup NSW website for contact details!
I'm a sahm with a nearly 15 month old dd, so thats a start on me!

Hey there, I am a 29 year old, mostly SAHM (I work one day a week) to four lovely kids - see signature for ages!
I actually run a playgroup at Miranda Public School on wednesday afternoon from 1-3pm and I would love to see you all come!! - the first three weeks are free to come and try us out. We have kidlets coming from tiny to school age and have a ton of fun making crafts, singing songs, reading books and we also have a park to play in and a sandpit. There is also coffee and biscuits available for the mums too and a chance to make some great friends!
But aside from that, I would love to meet up with anyone close, but I don't drive and I find public transport a challenge with my double pram. I was thinking that maybe we could meet up at Miranda Westfield one day. There are two play centre type things, the bigger one you have to pay for but the smaller one is free.
Feel free to respond here or PM me if you have any questions or contact me at madebyrobyn@hotmail.com
I know there are other mums out there that want to spend time making friendships! - they are just so hard to find or seemingly too busy! Remember ladies, to take some time to yourselves too :)

My daughter loves that little playground at Miranda, and how good is it that its free! I might try and give the Miranda Public school group a go to if I can get there. I too have a double pram, which I suppose is going to make public transport a bit crazy. As for the meetup,the_original_duchess could you please email me the PM at kristie.sean@hotmail.com.au Thanks heaps:wave:

The things you find out - I had no idea that there was a playground at Miranda, let alone two. Our family call it the Vortex - and when I was living in Cronulla I tried to desensitise myself to The Vortex, now it doesn't scare me at least!!! One day I might even work out where the little playground is - I am sure Genevieve would love it.

Hey there guys!! - sorry I didn't see that people had posted in here! - I am still getting the hang of these forums!
There is one more week of school holidays and then monday is a public holiday.... but after that normalcy will return!!!
I have a horrid wicked headcold at the moment so I will wait until that is gone before I meet up with you all - I do not wish to share this with anyone!
I am also using this week to study like mad - my nine year old is getting an education watching all these birthing videos with me!!! He was like "I am glad men don't have to squeeze babies out their penis' ". My four year old told me, "I will still have babies even if you have to stretch like that!"- she is so cute! Where as my younger two are just like ooooo babies.
On that note, good luck to all those pregnant ladies!
Will try to remember to come in here and see if anyone else has posted and then I won't seem so slack! Please feel free to PM me though girls!
(wow I am liking the exclamation marks today)

hahaha doularobyn - I know exactly what your kids are going through, except my mum was training to be a midwife when I was 11!! Then when she was lecturing it was all on for young and old with the vids at home! She even took me to a breastfeeding workshop for midwives when I was 17 - you can imagine how useful that was at the time, though I have to say some of it did stay with me for the over 20 years til I got to try it out myself!!
Hopefully we can get a meet-up happening in the next few weeks eh?

quitecontrary - yes I would be happy to organise a get together :)
I am free on these days in these hours:
Monday 11-3
Wed 10:30-12 (don't forget I run a playgroup at Miranda Public School from 1-3pm - first three visits are free and then you just pay the once of reg. fee per family per year and then $1 or $2 here and there for coffee/tea/biscuits and anyone -with kids- is welcome!!!)
and Fri 11-3
When is everyone else 'free'??? *lets start to organise this*
I would prefer to meet up after school goes back (in a week from today)....

Hi Everyone.
I am new to the site and to mother hood. I'm 25 and I have a 3 week old girl Named Mia.
I live in Miranda and have been here for about 12 months, I moved from QLD for work so I dont really know many people in the area, I go to the early birds mothers group at Miranda on Thursdays but would also love to meet other people and have some sort of a social life.
I dont drive so I like to keep things local.
Would love to hear from anyone.
Cheers

Hi littlecritter217!! I do hope motherhood in Sydney is a fun ride for you. I loved my early birds group in Rockdale, a few of us are still at the same playgroup now, which is lovely especially when you think a lot of women return to work.
Wow, I just noticed that this is your first post - I hope you're joining up on bubhub with all the other Born in May babies or April or whenever it was Mia arrived. Genevieve was a Due in December who arrived in mid January, but I stayed with my Due group on Bubhub. You will be welcomed I assure you! There might even be some shire/st george mums there too, you never know.
