Just out of curiosity, who thinks they will attend the Clipsal 500 this year?

I normally go as a trackmarshal, but since having DD its been impossible to find someone to take care of her for so long. Esp when i'd have to be at the track from about 5am till bout 8pm every day. :dizzy:

I'm only going in one day this year. How bout everyone else???

We used to always go before kids. We're thinking of going this year with the kids, but probably on th friday so less crowded and cheaper. When we used to go it was only 30/40 on the sunday and now its $70. So im watching ebay and the papers for cheap tickets! :fingerscrossed:
Also the weather will be great this year only low/mid 20's on friday and saturday, ot like today!

DH and I used to go (and Gold class - pit straight grandstand at that) right from the 1998 Sensational Adelaide... I used to not care for car racing.... and frankly really only love the V8 series now since going that first time.

I was 39 weeks pregnant during the 2005 race and it was also our 6th anniversary. It was the first year we didn't go even though DH was adamant "I would be fine" Good thing we didn't go as DD was born on that Monday morning straight after the race!!

Sadly we haven't been since but we miss it terribly.... Once you've been there and been apart of the atmosphere it is addictive. Hopefully we'll get to go again one day

I love the V8's too. Last year my MIL won pit straight tickets and let us go on the Saturday and she went on the Sunday, it was awesome just to be there and be part of it.

Really wish I was going this year :(

I took my DD last year on the friday - she was only 4 months old from memory. The only class of vehicle that caused her any fuss at all, was the Formula 3's.

As for the BF thing, i expressed before i went - last year was really hot, so not only did she have breast milk, she had a tonne of water. We all had fun, apart from when we had to go from the outer side of the track to infield... that was a nightmare with the stroller, esp when i couldnt be bothered waiting for the track to open once an hour or so, at certain spots along the circuit.

I cant wait to take DD again this year!:yelclap:
