Brisbane hospitals

Hi Ladies,

Just needing a bit of help and guidance. Looking for a good Obstetrician in the Brisbane/ north brisbane area. I need to elect to have a C.Section (pelvis too small evidentally - Major dramas with first "natural" birth!). Can anyone recommend anyone? And also can any one help me out with the private/public issue. Is it much easier through the private hospitals regarding choosing a doctor and booking in for the C.Section? (Had first bub in Public)

Anyones experiences would greatly help.

Hi Jadesmum - Dr Robert Watson delivers at North West Private and is supposed to be great:thumbsup:. My friend had twins via c/s with him & healed really quickly with minimal pain. She is now pregnant again & going back to him. Heard lots of great things about him. I don't know how far along you are though & he can be very hard to get into (I couldn't at 5&1/2 wks) but worth a try. I'm going with Dr Douglas Keeping (Mater Private) he's also supposed to one of the best in Brisbane. I've had one apt. with him & found him to be wonderful (I'm having an elective c/s):thumbsup:. You could also do a bubhub search as there have been a few threads on this in the past. Goodluck:fingerscrossed:.
