Hi, and welcome to BH:wave:

I'm sure it's ok, as long as you inform your midwife with your decision. My c/s didn't book until when I was 36 weeks and the actual c/s was when I was 38 weeks. So don't worry..

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Mine was also booked at 36 weeks for a 38.5 week birth.
Your OB will know what they're doing & when they need to book you in for your hospital.

Good Luck!!

I'm getting booked in at 36 weeks, they say the standard is to now do a c/section in your 39th week.

Leaving it so late to book you in really makes it handy to organise family to come and help - NOT!!

I had an elective c/section at 39 weeks & 2 days & it wasn't booked til a couple of weeks before. I think I was about 36.5 weeks by the time the OB booked it in. It all went really well and everything ran smoothly

Dunno if this helps or not... My ob said I don't have to make a final decision (about vb or c-section) until 38 weeks... I'm going private though...

I saw the hospital at 18 weeks, they said they normally book them in at 32 weeks, and do them at 39 weeks on a Tuesday. So unless their is an emergency or the theatre is full mine will be 22nd July.
I thought I might have trouble requesting a repeat caesar at the public hospital, but the doctor was really nice about it.
