DD1 is almost ten months old and during the day I hardly ever have to CC her any more but we have been having quite a lot of problems lately esp with her teething. Today she only slept 15 mins during daytime and DH was like why dont you CC her....I wasnt sure If I should or shouldnt as I know these teeth are bothering her. During the night shes still getting up about 5-6 times for feeds:no: Shes a shocker..Its probably the 3rd night in a row where Ive woken up this many times to breast feed her.

What are other mums doing while teething? We are using pain relief for her but this is getting ridiculous. I thought I was in control now I feel like shes winning the battle!

I haven't done it for a long time, but when he as teething I would always pick him up because I didn't want to take the chance that he was crying in pain. :(

Baby panadol always worked well for DS, or a frozen dummy. :)

The increase in breastfeeding is an obvious sign to me that she's in need of extra comfort at this time.

I agree with this. My DD was also teething and was waking every hour! It was horrible. I knew she was in pain so I didn't let her cry. During this time, if you go to them when you hear the whinging and not the crying, you will find they are way easier to settle.

DD was teething for about a week. She is over it now and is waking a lot less.

:hugs: It's hard, but it will pass :)

hi,

When teething my DD always needs that comfort of being held... CC has got her into a wonderfull sleeping pattern but we never let her cry out when she's in pain.. But it only ever lasts in phases.. It's hard work but you get through it.. In saying that do what works for you:D

hi,

If they are sick or teething we didn't CC as it wouldn't have been fair on either DD or us. Once the teeth were out or the illness over, that would be a good time to try to start it up again.
