My mum bought DD some of those Heinz banana bars, they're like a chewy stick, and DD loves them.
The ingredients list says they're mainly fruit juice with bran and dried fruit as well as the usual preservatives.
Does anyone have any idea how to make them?

I'd be very reluctant to give those to bub because to me if it's not a piece of fruit, it just isn't fruit. JMO though! Also, and again JMO, to me babies don't need anything like that, it just gets them used to eating something other than fruit and having it called fruit, mine only ever had real fruit (grated apple, banana chopped into small pieces, watermelon cut small, grated pear, combination of grated pear and apple together, etc) and even now that's what she prefers even though she has the occasional fruit bar or something. I bought those "fru bears" thinking they looked cute as a little treat, she'd rather get an apple out of the fridge than eat a pack of those so it does pay off.

Thanks mummabear, i agree that's why I wanted tomake something similar with real fruit at home.
With the grated apples and pear, do you just give it to bubs as is? From what age? I have been giving DD fruit in the mesh feeder for ages but she seems to just be getting too old for it now.

I was grating it on the really fine grater side from about 4 months. I know she started solids early but I didn't know to hold off :o
