hi all
my 6mth old DD and I are recent converts to cloth and absolutely love them. I tend to always go for the all in one nappy for convenience and easier to do up on a wriggling baby! But before i invest in more - how long do they last for due to having the PUL cover? Also what do others use to put in stinky nappy buckets? Also what are green kids like?

It depends on the PUL really, just standard PUL lasts approx 100 washes or so (provided you are dry pailing, doing strip washes when necessary, not using the dryer as matter of course, not washing at more than 60 degree's, not using essential oils and not soaking in nappisan etc) procare PUL lasts (I believe) up to around 1000 washes, it is a much better quality PUL. Nappies with procare PUL tend to be a little more expensive (not much, just a matter of a couple of dollars usually) but they are a better investment- especially if you are wanting to keep your nappy stash for future children. Another option is to go with fitted nappies with knitted woolen covers- If you buy good quality woolies they will last for all of your children with very little upkeep (see the cloth sticky posts for more info on what sorts are available and how to care for them :) It is also the most healthful/breathable cloth nappy option and is especially good for use at night. Stinky bucket? Have you tried Pail Pals? I posted a recipe for making these at home in the washing/caring for your MCN sticky :)
Having tried both greenkids and bumgenius pockets I would probably recommend the bumgenius over the greenkids as you can adjust the rise to fit better from birth to toddler & the outer PUL shell is alot softer. Have you also looked at sugar shots! and beetlebums? Both of these nappies are made by very talented WAHM's and they are made with procare PUL for the PUL lining. You have to hyena them, but they are well worth the effort! As are Bum Cuture nappies, very noice and very well made- they make lovely minky AIO's as well as fitted nappies that are just gorgeous! Also with the stinky nappy bucket - take the lid off (the more air that can get to it the less smell) ;)
