Anybody interested in getting involved?

I did it a few years ago and it was great, we ended up collecting about 30 bags of garbage just off one beach. It was amazing.

It was a great work out too!

DD9 bought home some info today so we will take part again, usually though on my daily walk to school and back i take a bag and always come home with something quiet sad really that everyday i pick a few things up :(

We took part in this event a couple of years ago, through our children's school. It was a great day, although we were cleaning up in a park that is run by Parks Victoria, so it was very clean to begin with.

The only issue I had was the cigarette butts. The children were ready to pick them up but I told them they were not to touch them.

I can understand that. :)
Especially with small children.

We were give gloves, a supply of garbage bags, a shirt, a hat, some sunscreen, food/water, etc.
We were very well taken care of and of course felt obliged to help considering they went to such effort to cater for us.
