I definately wouldn't be trying her on it this young
I think it's not recommended to try them on any peanut products until they are at least 12 months old or much older if there is a history of allergies in the family.
It is totally up to you but it's not something I would risk at her age. But- your baby, your choice.

i dnt want to,,, my sister is allergic to cashews.. but nobody allergic to peanut butter.. BUT im not going to risk it!!
The reason it isn't recommended - anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) is on the rise. Really on the rise. The reasons why are not really known.
The chances of treating and saving a 12 month old who has eaten nuts and is allergic are so much better than a 7 month old. It is very unlikely your child will be allergic to nuts but it doesn't hurt to wait.
It would be a huge risk if your child did turn out to be allergic.

I have actually heard that children up til the age of 5 should stay away from peanuts.
I wouldnt be giving a 7 mth old any thats for sure.
Yes because whole nuts are a choking hazard. But the longer the better for other nut products.

Yes, my little god-daughter had an anaphylactic response to eggs at nine months of age and was rushed to her local emergency dept., where she was treated accordingly. Her parents were told that it was extremely lucky that they lived 2 minutes from the hospital only, and not a half hour drive in traffic - that could have made all the difference to a child under 12 months whose throat had closed up over a period of two minutes.
Better to leave it for six more months or so until you know her body can physically cope with a bad reaction imo :)

Not a chance. There is no good reason to, she doesn't need it. I would leave it until much later.
There is absolutely nothing to be gained from early introduction to high risk allergens such as eggs, peanuts, shellfish and strawberries. Babies are quite happy eating other low risk foods so why jeopardise their health?
My son is 18 months old and has not yet had a taste of peanut in any form and won't be for a good long time yet. Maybe until he's three. Perhaps it's over cautious but I'd rather that than have to fear his touching any surfaces on a playground, wondering if the child ahead of him had eaten a peanut butter sandwich for lunch.

I wouldn't risk it
Dd first tried a peanut when she was about 2.5 but that was only because she was bugging me,she had one didn't like it so she hasn't had any more.
Ds has never tried it.
Both dd and ds never tried egg until they were over 12 months and strawberries they were about the same. They aren't allergic but it was worth the wait.

DS first had peanut butter at about 8 months (i think, it was way too young anyway).... by accident.
we were at a friends house, and one of her kids was eating a sandwich. i didnt realise it had peanut butter on it, and by the time i'd looked up, DS had a square of it in his hand, already half eaten.... :hair:
i watched VERY closely for a reaction, but thankfully, nothing.
if i had the choice, he wouldnt have tried it for a while yet, but now i know he's not allergic, i give it to him every day
