Hi everyone,

My bubs had his 1st immunisations last wednesday after he got home that night he slept 6.5 hours and then all day thursday (I couldnt even wake him up) and since then he has not slept properly at all... We were in some sort of a routine with him before the needles he was waking every 3-4 hours at night... not I am lucky to get him to sleep at all .. friday ngith he didnt got o bed till 2.30am then woke 2 hours later ... he has been up since 3pm today which was 7 hours ago and still no sleep... I am at my wits end as I do not know what to do ... has anyone had this same problem????

I didn't have any troube with my girls when they had their immunisations but I just wanted to give :hugs: .I have been up with a grumpy 3yr old for the last few nights and know how you must be feeling - it brings back memories of all nighters when they are little :) I used to pull out a spare mattress and lay down with them in front of the TV (just on quietly) or some soft music playing and next hing i knewit was morning and they were sleeping too! Don't get me wrong it didn't always work or sometimes it took a while but at least I was laying down resting and so were they. I know it isn't a solution for all times but it got me through many nights and let DP sleep so he could take them while I slept for a couple of hours the next day

Good Luck sweet.

I too will give you a big :hugs:
Unfortunately vaccinations can knock them around a little so expect bubs to be out of sorts for a little while yet so just try to cater to his needs atm then try & get back into a routine he is happy with.
I know its hard i too had a baby that wouldnt sleep or should i say rarely for the first 3 or 4mths & it nearly broke my spirit so my thoughts are with you.
If you feel he may be a little hot or the likes make him comfy with some panadol & if his leg gets warm near the wound site just use a cold face washer to help relieve it & keep an eye on it that it doesnt get infected. Otherwise just try & make sure the wound site doesnt get an extra pressure on it as you will find bubs will have little lumps this is normal & will also last a few weeks so just try to make sure you dont bump them.
Try anything to get him to sleep if need be like co-sleeping or even bf him then popping him in a rocker if you have one & rocking him off to sleep. You will probably find he is waking for feeding to comfort himself so feed him as necessary.
Again :hugs:
Good luck

After me complaining last night bubs went of to sleep at 10pm and didnt wake till after 3am he must of been tired... Thanks everyone for your replies... I think it may just take a while to get him back into some sort of routine... so I am going to try and start again today withhim and see how I go.. oh and nattie I dont know how you did it ... 20 minutes sleep at night.... you poor thing... they are so worth it though it just kind of breaks your spirit when you cant get them to sleep cause you are so tired to enjoy them ....
