Okay ladies, I want to hear what you like to cook or what you like your special someone to cook for you, when you have a nice quiet romantic dinner at home (once the kids are in bed of course!!).
With St Valentine's Day coming up this week, I wanted some ideas of what to cook for DH (we are going out for a swanky lunch the day before), that is a little different from my usual culinary repertoire!!
I need inspiration!! Any course is great ie starter, main or dessert!!:chef:

I think a nice seafood dinner would be yummy.
You could make this as a starter http://www.exclusivelyfood.com.au/2006/06/prawn-cocktail-recipe.html

i wouldnt have a clue for a starter but if you are a pasta fan & would like awesome pasta i do know that they are selling pasta in heart shapes...i've seen them at aldi & then you could make some form of pasta sauce to go with it & maybe for dessert fondue with strawberries, kiwi fruit & some other fruits!! u can feed each other ;)
let us know what you decide :D

You will need something light, so you do not feel over full and weighed down after eating.
What about?
Prawn cocktail, spring rolls or garlic bread for entree
Chicken kiev, cordon bleau, or fish with salad
Then some fruit salad, or choccy strawberries, or fondue??? Or mousse?
Good luck

Actually we have a "special dinner" that we have every anniversary. It's pork fillet, rubbed with mashed garlic & rosemary, wrapped in proscuitto and roasted. With that we have Italian roast potatoes (packet mix, DP loves it!) and whatever vegies we have.
I made it for the first anniversary we had together and have done it ever since :valentine:

When I used to do those dinners it was veal in a mushroom cream sauce with scalloped spuds and a green salad. I probably did something like meringue cases with fruitsalad and choccie sauce for dessert.
Now Im more health conscious:D Yeah we just go out nowadays, its easier and not as much mess to clean up!
