Just wondering how much intense play should a baby this old handle?

My little boy seems to go totally off for days after even one period of intense stimulation? Any tricks to help him so the very excited family can play with him without him getting so overstimulated.

My 4 month old DD gets over stimulated when there are too many people in her face at once, not sure if this may be an issue with your little boy..?

Not sure what you call 'intense play'?

DD can take plenty of attention... generally the things we do with her are;
Play on floor with toys/rolling over/kick gym etc
Sing songs
Jumps in jumperoo and plays with its toys
Read books
Bounce on knee
Plays with toys in bath (loves being held in the sitting position)
When family/friends are over she is passed around for 'holds' often, at first she didnt take to this very well but I think she is used to it now!

Perhaps if he is getting overstimulated with family trying to play with him you could get them to choose some more quiet time activities like talking or singing softly to him, reading a book etc.

Not sure if that helped at all!
