Does anyone else get letters from centrelink asking for you to come in for an appointment to talk about your continuing entitlement for parenting payment? I feel like I'm doing something wrong and they're checking up on me  Another thread just made me remember my appointment.

Is it a regular thing to have them every 6 months or so?

Yeah they spring one on you every now and then just to make sure they have all the correct details.

Income, study, change in maritial status etc .....

It is, just to make sure no circumstances change etc and gives people the chance to own up to anything (like my stupid friend)

Did not mean to make you stress:hugs:

They do that apparently so people get scared and own up to things they would not normally, just think if you have nothing to hide, there is nothing to worry about.:hugs:

I had one while I was on PP - I also crapped myself thinking I was in trouble, but nope, it was just a standard check

I've had one every year since going on PP..

and I'm really glad I did this year, as they've been doing a data transfer from the old to the new system, and had stuffed up HEAPS of my details..

(like marriage status, number of bank accounts, how long I'd been living where I am.... annoying little things)

Don't stress Leen, it's just protocol.

Yep i have one coming up next week, i had to ring them last week and queried the reason for it while on the phone and was told it's just routine to make sure everything is upto date and that i am still entitled to my parenting payment partnered. I have had them before to with no dramas!!
