Vanilla Slice

has anyone got some yummy vanilla slice recipes...its sunday and i feel like making one...

I have a recipe that uses the Lattice biscuits.......hold for 2 seconds and I'll grab it.......

You need:

1/4 cup custard powder
1/4 cup caster sugar
1 and 1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 packet Arnott's Lattice biscuits

What to do:

Place custard powder and sugar in a saucepan and make into a smooth paste with a little of the milk. Gradually stir in the remaining milk.
Stir continuously over gentle heat until custard comes to boil and thickens. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla essence.

Cover custard surface with cling wrap to prevent skin forming and allow to cool completely.

When custard is cool, spread 2 tablespoons mixture (approx 1.5cm thick) on the base of a biscuit and top with another biscuit to make slice.
Repeat this process until all biscuits have been used.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until required.

Serves 10.
