Is it possible to do housework with ergo carrier? Also, how is it in very hot weather?

You sure can do housework in the Ergo. As for heat well it isn't too bad but when it is hot and I take the ergo off I get left with a big round sweat patch from where bub was against me.

I have done hours of housework in an ergo - great for hanging out washing, sweeping etc.

Much easier to do housework if bub is on teh back (but can't do that till about 6 months or so), but still ok on the front, just feels a bit bulkier and a bit less comfy than a wrap-type carrier on the front...

I do a lot of things around the house and shopping with our Ergo.
I haven't had a problem with the heat. I guess it's just the same as if you were holding them in your arms anyway?

thanks for you help. Can I use Ergo without an insert for my nearly 3 months old?

there's an insert for newborns; but bcos i never got the hang of the insert, i just put his heels together and digging into my belly (kinda like a froggy).

I just can't get comfy so I'd love to be able to use it for housework but I can't get him on my back without struggling and putting him on the bed. he screams blue murder when I try to put him on..

Can someone direct to me a thread where this was mentioned (I don't want to get y'all off the track here).

Thanks ;)

I do the housework with it. I live in brisbane, gets stinking hot here, And I usually do end up getting a little sweaty.. But I use a cold pack against my tummy under my shirt that is wrapped in kitchen towel. Provides a barrier between bub and I so we don't get too hot and keeps us both cool :)
