Early Ovulation??

Is it common to ovulate early in cycle e.g. around day 8?? I had all the signs but not sure if it was too early....

The answer is yes, you can and you can still get pregnant - this is why you can pregnant by day 5 on your cycle.

yes - everyones cycle is different - and your o pattern can change from one cycle to the next.

How long is your cycle normally?

Generally a 27-29 dayish cycle.... but last month I had spotting for 4 days at the start of the cycle and then 5 days of AF, so I am not sure if I should classify the last cycle as a 28 day if I say the spotting was the start of the new cycle, or if I dont add the spotting it would be a 32 day cycle.....

If a 28 then I thought I ov'd on day 11ish if the 32 day I ov'd day 8....

I have the same issue. I think I may have o'd on day 8 as I have ewcm. The catch is I had 4 days of spotting befrore AF so am I really CD8 or could I be CD12 which makes more sense? :confused: I dont know!! Hmmm

Apparently you dont normally include the spotting in your cycle... e.g. I had 9 days spotting prior to this cycle now and I am currently on day 31..... so I am not counting the 9 days otherwise I would be on day 40...

I bought an ovulation kit after I posted this note and it gave me a positive ovulation about a week after when I thought I ovulated so I am not sure if I had early ovulation, or if infact the ovulation kit was correct and it was CD19!

I went out and brought one as well. There is no LH surge detected atm so I will keep testing daily. This is our 3rd month TTC so we havent lost hope yet!! I am not going to include the spotting in my CD count either

I had the opposite, finished AF, then after 3 days I had 2-3 days of light spotting and EWCM, then have been 'dry' since (sorry if TMI)

It's my first month off the pill - so could this just be my body adjusting?

I used an OPK for the first time this cycle because my cycles are irregular.

It said if you are unsure, to test on the 9th. I did and it came up pretty positive to me. Like the line was fairly dark. I tested for a few days after and the line got lighter, so I assume I O'd then. That was Valentines Day :D

Mine was exactly the same, I tested around valentines day and got my positive on the 14th too...... I am guessing that I do ovulate then if the OPK gave me a positive.... Goodluck!
