do you bath your kids beforer or after tea?

I use to do it after tea, right before bed...but i have changed to doing it before tea

I find it so much easier to do it at around 4pm...and because it is that time, it got me thinking when others do it??

it is easier to do it before tea, as after tea dishes can be done, a play/family time and then bed...

Getting back into the routine of before dinner - so around now.

For us, if we bath them after dinner, it means that DD is getting to bed too late, and then she wakes tired for school the next day.

My 2 are old enough now as well, that they don't spill their dinner all over them - just means a quick wash of face and hands before bed.

We have dinner at 6pm, bath time at 7pm, then story time at 8pm, lights out by 8.15pm.

I found that DD got too excited playing with daddy after dinner, besides I've just always bathed her before bed!

My son makes alot of mess when he eats so his bath is after dinner.

Definitely after dinner as my younger DS insists on feeding himself! Dinner at 5pm, bath 6pm, bed 7pm.

I used to do it after dinner, but I found by the time we finished dinner, I'd be exhausted. SOmehow dinner-bath-bed was the busiest time of my day. So I change to before dinner, just easier for me. Well, sometimes if I made an easy dinner that didn't need a lot of preparation, they'd be bath after, lol. But even bath before dinner, ds would have a quick clean and brush teeth after dinner.

dd makes quite a mess at dinner time lol so its after dinner here.
She has dinner at 5-5.30 and a bath at 6.30, then bottle at 7pm and bed by 7.30.
DD loves her bath time she squeels as soon as she heres me filling it and bring the towell out :D

i am the odd one out lol :laughing:

i use to always bath after dinner, but now i am doing it before, and finding it much easier....sometimes, if it is an easy dinner we might do it after...but yeh of late it has been before...i guess that will change when DS is fully feeding himself and makes a HUGE mess...lol

It goes:
4.30pm - Bath

5.00/5.15pm - Dinner then a rest time/clean up time for me

6.00pm - Bed time (My boys sleep 12 - 13 hours and need all the sleep they can get!! :D)

After dinner here, ds2 makes a bit of a mess when he is eating so it's just easier to do baths after dinner and then straight to bed.
They eat at 5:30ish, bath around 6:30, and bedtime at 7:30. Will have to slightly change our routine when dh goes back to afternoon shifts as he usually finishes up with the older kids baths while i am giving the twins their milk and getting them to bed by 7.

:thumbsup:after dinner..dd is so messy..plus she finishes by530/6 pm her T..then runs around until about 7pm(use to be 630)..so i find the bath settles her for bed..bath, bottle straight to bed..have done this routine since day dot

hi i give my baby a bath then his feed before he goes to bed it seems to work best for me.
