Hi all I'm new to this little group and all of you seem very helpful and friendly!!! Iwe are TTC #2- i i'm a little nervous- since conceiving # 1 i have put on 30kg and up until Nov 07 my cycle was 28 days to the day. then i had a 50 day cycle- so now i'm nervous about whats going on!!!! I also used to be really intune with my body and my CM but now it just all looks and feels the same!!!!

My LMP was the 14th of Jan i based O around my 28 day cycle as i thought that was the easiest to do so we did what we had to around the 26th Jan and for a few days after that and then a couple of times in between (for goodluck!!) AF is due Sunday. I used a discover test on Tuesday and there was a faint line (i thought) DH said he couldn't see a thing.. so i retested wed morning and definitely negative. I am obviously going to be a serial tester because i have done a pregnosis one and it showed a faint line (DH said he couldn't see that one either- then i used a crystal clear and definitely negative. So i suppose my long winded question is when should i test again so i stop wasting these tests. And is there a thread that shows what all the abbreviations mean !!

I suppose i'm becoming a little paranoid because i had a really traumatic birth with DD 1 and told everyone i would be waiting ages until i had another one and was really negative about #2. Now i feel like i'm myself again and i'm really excited to have #2 i feel like i've jinxed myself!!! Thanks in advance for ur help i'm sure i'll have lots of helpful suggestions and get to know all the names and faces??

hi there alby and a warm welcome to you!!

you have come to the right place evryon ehere is helpful and friendly and its a great place to vent when it gets confusing, stressful etc

firstly you sound like you know what the basics are, CM etc. are you charting your temp? i think that is the most valuble tool, because it really pinpoints when you have O. alot of us use fertility friend. are you useing it. its a great website and has loads of useful tidsbits on it. it also keeps all your data to save confusion about how long you previos cycles have been etc.

you sound just like me (and alot of us) with the whole serial testing thing!! its just so tempting isnt it!!! its easier to set a date to test when you know how long your cycle is and when you have ovulated. they recommend testing the day of or after AF is due because you have less chance of dissapointment and a better chance of getting a good reading becuase your BHGC levels will be higher.

i have my :fingerscrossed: that you do get your :bfp: soon though. and just remeber every pregnancy and birth is different so dont stress yourself out to much about what lays ahead.

as for the abbreviations, there is a thread posted by the bubhub with a list of most of them. i had to have a look becasue i had no idea what half of them were!!!

looking forward to seeing you around the TTC threads!!

No never charted temperature or anything- wouldn't have a clue where to start but i'm sure if i look through the threads i'll find what to do- also had a look at fertility friend link so i'll look at that and maybe start that next month if i don't get a positive test this month! Thanks for ur reply xx:)

I just wanted to say that I understand about the traumatic birth.

Oliver was traumatic, he was posterier, I was in labour for 42 hours. :(

But I just left these beautiful ladies in the TTC thread because Im now pregnant with #2. You will do a fantastic job when the time comes!

Have fun TTC! :D
