what does your cervix do after O if pregnant?

just wondering if anyone can tell me what my cervix should be doing if i am infact pregnant?

i assume it should be closed but is it high or low , and soft or hard?



i am only 5DPO but wondering what i should be looking for in the coming week?

Hey babe,

Unfortunately your cervix wont be able to tell you if you are pg. Some women note a difference in what it would NORMALLY feel like in their 2ww, but for the majority, its not a good indicator one way or the other. Eventaully, it should rise and stay closed, but that might not happen until you are 12 weeks along! Theres nothing wrong in checking it, but dont rely on it as an indicator of pregnancy. I'm 8 dpo and my cervix is so high that i nearly need a search party to find it. It has never been this high after O before, so I am hoping any difference is a good sign.

but I too have been told that your cervix position doesn't really do much in the way of announcing a pregnancy. :fingerscrossed: though.

Yep, the cervix isn't meant to be a very reliable sign, however if something is out of the ordinary then it is a good sign. Just before AF my cervix is high, but very hard, the month I miscarried it was high, soft and closed.

this is the first month where i have really taken lots of notice of my cervix position, i almost had to send out a search party to find mine when i O. thank god i am not the only one having trouble locating theirs!!!!!!:laughing:

mine was really low yesterday but today it has started to rise again.

i too am hoping this is a good sign.

I am on either 9dpo or 11dpo (me and ff are having a disagreement)

mine is really really high also, can't really tell you if its soft or hard cause I seriously can't reach it

closed....well still not sure I have worked that part of it out either!

Last cycle it was low at this point but before that I really wasnt charting accurately.

However FF reckons it can be one thing in the morning and another by nighttime so maybe take averages???

High at night + Open in morning = Middle :)
