View Full Version : what annoys you when Breastfeeding?
I tell you what is currently making me loose my cool and walk away. Eliza only feeds/comfort sucks to sleep twice a day now, but that other bloody hand twiddle the other nipple so much, I get a horrendous amount of braxton hicks, I think because she is twiddling so much it's releasing what ever hormone it is, that makes you have BH seriously it's ticking me off. I just had to walk away I was trying to get her to sleep, but I couldn't handle it any more I had a BH every minuted for 15 minutes.
UGH I can't wait for her to start self settling at night. I am ****ing over it.
OK all done, what's your complaints :D
The tanty that ensues when I'm not in a position or dress to breastfeed at that point in time.
I hate it when he comfort sucks, too. I have no idea why but it really feels like there is a parasite hanging off me.
I love breastfeeding and am so glad I am still doing it but it just feels a lot better when he's actually drinking!

OK all done, what's your complaints :DExactly what you said, and it got SOOO much worse in early pregnancy, it was revolting. I had to be a hard *** and put an end to the nipple twiddling, it took a few tears and tantrums, but he doesn't even try it anymore.
Actually, breastfeeding while pregnant at all has done it for me.... we are down to only one feed first thing in the morning (because I am too lazy to get out of bed ;)) and that suits me pretty well now.

mmmm i hate the whole gymnastics routine while im trying to feed.
And when he pulls off, looks at it and grabs it with his sharp nails! Grrr

I'm hating when he is over tired & wants to suck but screams cause he doesn't want milk :(
Another gymnast here, sometimes he stands up on my lap still attached and starts stepping from one leg to the other. Its the most ridiculous thing. I have to tell him to stop before he loses his balance because his gob doesn't let go, he just takes me with him if he falls off :mad:
The other thing that is annoying me at the moment is that I can't take diet pills. Sooo tempted to wean because of that but I really want to reach the 2 year milestone.

I am most unimpressed with ds when he pushed the boob away with all his force while sucking............you know what - that HURTS!! Oh, and I'm not a huge fan of being kicked in the throat, face, neck either!

I am so over it now its been 16 months too long. Being pregnant has made it worse my nipples are sore,cracked and peeling its also making me feel sick ,she pulls on the other side at the same time, pulls away and takes my poor boobs with her, comfort sucks wayyy to much and the list goes on I dont know how to get her off I try so hard but it doesnt work.

Well, what annoys me...The horrible smoothering feeling of never having my body to myself.The way he scratches and pinches my boobs, they are covered in scratches.The way he wont hold still, & stands up & bobs up and down when he is feeding but doesnt loose suction on my nipples & rips off & my nipples are so sore.The way he gets distacted and just wont stay on the boob & every feed he comes off & goes back on, but still doesnt loose suction on my boob, just pulls back really hard until my nipple stretches & rips out of his mouth.I dont like the way he kicks me when he feeds either.

i dont know if you know but try to put your finger in the corner of bubs mouth to get him of that way it wont hurt as much

The wiggling, I get her feet in my face, up in the air, over my shoulder, laying on here belly, trying to lie facing away from me, all the while my nipple firmly between her teeth be stretched.
It feels as though I have a crocodile doing a death roll on my nipple.
I would like to say anyone who's thinking of breastfeeding don't be to put off lol
I am so glad I am not alone with how annoying it gets!
Oh I agree with the crocodile death roll it's like oh what's that rips away full set of teeth, chomping away.
SC like you I am so glad it's only twice a day. Can't wait to feed a gummy baby that just lays there lol

Oh my....I could have written nearly all of those posts!
The standing and weird gymnastic moves, the twiddling the other nipple till its red raw, the comfort sucking, the pulling away and pinching.
The thing that really annoys me lately is whenver i'm holding DD she is always putting her hand down my top and trying to pull out my boob. She doesnt care where we are either. Lately while we are in public she likes to show people her booboos. :o :hair:

The thing I hate most is her pinching my other nipple, I hate it, it hurts, I can even stand her resting her hand on my other breast now as I'm scared she's going to hurt me :o

Geez, I've known men like that :eek: :banghead: What makes em think you enjoy it, just cos porn stars apparently do?
Hmm must be too long ago, I can't remember anything bad about breastfeeding...cept mastitis, leaking breasts, teeth, letdown that deserts you...nah it was worth it all :)
BFing DD2 is like feeding a turtle or an olympic swimmer if she's windy- arms and legs flapping up and down!:D
The worst is actually DD1 who likes to play up right at feed time - especially in shopping centre baby rooms:hair:

While the gymnastics are thoroughly annoying, the thing that is p!ssing me off the most at the moment is the grown ups! El is really fussy, coming off and on all feed, there's just too much to look at. If there are people around they start to play with him, talk to him etc while my boob is still hanging out in the fresh air!:banghead: IMO they should know better, if the boobs out, it's still dinner time and not fun time!

My DD does this too. And the ridiculous gymnastics.:hair: Never done the nipple twidling thing though, she likes to fiddle with my hand instead, lucky me.:D

I hate it when im relaxing on my bed and Sasha wants a feed he digs his elbows into my chest while he's feeding,it hurts so much.
I hate it when he launches on to my boob and his teeth pinches my nipple.
I hate it when he sticks his hand down my top and tries to twiddle but his nail catches on my boob.
Anything that has anything to do with hurting me I DON'T LIKE argh it ****ing hurts

:yes::yes: Mine does that too, along with the nipply twiddling, pulling my nipple as far as he can get it and laughing when he sees im in pain, biting me, scratching me and he has this thing for grabbing a heap of the saggy skin on my boobs and it is sooo painful! Oh and I can't stand the constant swapping of boobs I have to have both out most of the time and he just keeps changing...
But still wouldn't change it for the world.:valentine:

It's his new trick: get firmly attached, brace both hands (one hand. one cast) against my chest and push with all his rather impressive might. I have bruises on my chest from the sheer force and my nipples are hanging somewhere around my flabby calves.
I'm also seriously over this comfort sucking/feeding to sleep business. He falls asleep in my bed (after a feed but not while feeding) at night but that's after hours of comfort sucking and general pain-in-the-butt-iness.
And I've been craving peanut butter since I was pregnant. It's been well over two years and I really need to indulge that craving soon :hissy:

I hate it that dd is a pain in the bum to feed. She will only feed when snoozy and almost asleep. Freeking hard and anoyingly time consuming:thumbsdown:
Or at the times she will feed wilst awake she will poke and scrach my face with her sharp nails.

When DD is feeding , she gets distracted when the Let down happens and pull off while milk sprays everywhere. :hair:
Also, she hears something ( mainly her sisters) and wants to have a look. So she arches her head around to see. But my nipple is still in her mouth OUCH:crying::crying:
The current on off on off on off, twiddle twiddle swap swap swap swap swap on off on off.
I do up bra and pull down top.
She screams then says drink please

hmmm.... mine does those things too...
He also likes to hold my hair while he is feeding, which is a pain when it is tied up...
and sometimes he will put his fingers in my mouth, or push my head from side to side.
and if I'm wearing things that are too low cut (and it doesn't have to be very low cut to be too low cut...) he tries to help himself...
but on the flipside, it is very cute when he is finished and helps me put it away. ANd the look he gives me when I say he can have mummy milk is adorable.
At the moment DS likes to pick my nose whilst feeding...what the?? :p
He also likes to push my head from where ever I may be looking. If i'm looking left he will push it to the right.
Oh and if he sits up after a feed and my boob is still out, he starts to pull and tweak my nipple and it really hurts.. :banghead: As soon as I growl at him he just gives me a big belly laugh back..how can i not smile at that ;)

My twins are 9.5 months old. They feed together. Most of the time they are fine but other times they distract each other. Try and pull the boob out of each others mouth to play with the nipple. And they both love pulling my hair while feeding. It doesn't matter how tight my hair is pulled back they can always manage to find some to pull ouch.My DS also loves trying to stand up while feeding which can make life interesting while feeding two.
The nipple twiddling I can't stand either. It just irks me so bad!! The sucking and pushing away thing is up there as well as the hands and feet going in every direction.
She is always trying to put her feet into my top and then straighten her legs. . not very good for mummys clothes!! And she also likes to burrow her hand in between my boobs. . ugh . .I tell her no and move her hand away a 1000 times and she still does it!!

i hate it when the remote is JUST that bit to hard to reach, my husband is out in the shed, and all my good books are on the shelf, i get so bored with feeding after the first 10 minutes... know i shouldnt but i do! and i get so thirsty!!!!!... Oh and this maternity bra sucks!!

Yep I had that one! It never ceases to amaze me just what the breast/nipple can do when a child is doing gymnastics while feeding. It can stretch a long way that's for sure! Also she used to play with a mole under my left arm, but that never changed. She still does it now if she's feeling insecure or is overtired.

I really hate how the bigger kids take the exact moment I am 'in the zone' to announce that they are hungry, thirsty, need a cuddle, want a toy, etc.
Doesn't matter how I anticipate their needs, they want something else!!!
I just want to connect with my current baby, it's only 20 mins worth, fer gawds sake!!!

When she is still attached and pulls back stretching the nipple as far as it goes for no real reason.Also when my 2yr old tries to feed his toy stuffed cat if DD should come off.It is just a little weird having a stuffed toy shoved on your boob when trying to get your baby back on with milk leaking everywhere.
Breastfeeding while pregnant. Sooo doesn't do it for me... oh well, not long left to go now!
Not so much bothers me any more, I'm going through a pretty good BF stage with DS but I do not like when he pulls my top down.. always in the supermarket, always right out the front where everyone is standing and looking!

I went out once in a little singlet top when dd was about 18 months old or so, she pulled it down at the bottom and my boobs were both showing :o She didn't even want a feed, she was sitting in the seat part of the trolley and fiddling with my shirt. She was always fiddling with my shirt whether she wanted a feed or not :hair:

this happened last week in Aldi. Bubby launched at me and pulled my top down just as this man in front of us turned around. I KNOW he copped an eyeful, I just know he did.
He pretended not to, bless him. But I could tell that he saw my boob!! :laughing::eek::o
