11-month-old babies...

Hi everyone,

I am writing a novel and one of the characters has an 11-month-old baby. The only thing is my little girl is now 2, and I'm finding it very hard to remember what she was like at 11 months.

So refresh my memory...:D what types of things are your 11- month-olds doing? What's their comprehension like? What are they saying? How many teeth? And basically anything else you can think of!

my son actually didnt have teeth til 12 1/2 months old, but quite a few kids had their first by 11 months. His words were pretty much da and hello (well kinda). his only 16 months and i cant think of anything else!! gee thats bad lol! sorry

My little girl is 11 months old...here are some of the things she is doing at the moment


no teeth yet
words - dada / mumma / nan / try's to pronounce cat but comes out dat....is very vocal however i have no idea what she is trying to say most of the time.
clapping hands all the time
pointing at things and 'talking'
walking on furniture
trying to stand un aided
very interested in getting into anything that adults use [cupboards, food, bathroom etc]

My DS is just 12 months so here a few things he was doing a month ago.


Walking..Trying to run
Has 8 teeth
Claps hands
Waves
Points
Says Mama/Dada, Go, Yep, No, Ta
Shakes his head 'no' when he has had enough to eat and nods 'yes' when offered something he wants
Dances
Loves exploring and loves going up and down steps
Loves finger food - cheese, grapes, crackers

my dd has just turned 1 .. and at 11 months she was

walking
clapping
saying - yay , mumma , dad, here, dere (For there ) ta, and nana - oh and the ever famous MINE !! rofl
wave and points
had 7 teeth
when well slept thru the night (hardly ever but she was when on meds lol )
played peekaboo
was very cuddly
loves to pretend to read books
has hardly any hair lol
very stubborn
was just learning to dance
