Title really says it all...

I have a silverside in the fridge ready to cook this evening and was wondering if I could maybe put it in the slow cooker now. Or maybe it's a bit late...it's 1.25pm here now

Any suggestions..

Yes, you can definately do it in the slow cooker. It's the only way I do it. Not sure if it's too late for you now.

I just put it in with water, peppercorns and onion. Yummy. I must do one again soon.:)

what a great idea and I bet it stays nice and moist and doesn't dry out!!!!

Will keep that one in mind for sure

Yep we do ours in the slow cooker as well. Corned silverside with brown sugar, golden syrup and water. Put it on high for 6 hours. Yummo:D

Thanks Ladies, by the time I got around to putting it on it was 2.30pm...a bit late. So I did it on the stove. It was still delicious but next time I will try the slow cooker.

I've only ever cooked it in the slow cooker - chuck in white vinegar, peppercorns, bayleaves & cloves.

I also use that bar the syrup..instead i use herbs - basil, garlic, onion etc also vinegar..

I put mine on auto and cook for 8.5 hours... I use to put it on before work and it was cooked beautifully at dinner time :D

I cook mine in water, vinegar, with some bay leaves and cloves.

In the slow cooker it takes about 5-6 hours..tastes great!
