chicken schnitzel, pumpkin and.......rice????

Turns out the spuds i was going to use for mash tonight, are a bit.........:thumbsdown:
Only other thing i can have as a side dish is rice...... would you reccommend it. or will dp turn his nose up at it??????

Maybe wizz up a gravy for the schnitzel. That could work well over the rice too to make it a bit more appealing.
