Thought I'd start a new thread seeing as our last one is HUGE and we're all a bunch of chatterboxes!!

Only three months to go ladies  Where on earth has the last six or so months gone??

Now to figure out how to get the other thread closed...:detective:

Bel - you've gone for the Phil and Ted's huh? Couldn't find another pram with a reclining toddler seat? That's the pram I'm leaning towards too....but I just don't know. I have noticed a lot of them around though, now that I'm looking at one. Guess they can't be too bad.

How are all our other May mummies doing? Hope those not feeling well are feeling a little better now and those that are feeling a little stressed out are managing to relax and take it easy.

DH is away tonight....I'm so lonely. DS is tucked into bed and I have no-one to talk to :(

Where are all you girls? You all have lives I suppose

Ah Bec some nights I pray to be alone lol Enjoy the peace while it lasts :D

Nice shiny new thread eh.

Well it's official I am leaking I have managed 9 months without breast pads and it looks like I will have to start wearing them already well prolly in a few weeks. oh joy And my nips are soooo sensitive when Eliza breastfeeds now wow it's tender!!

Anyone else getting lovely jabs in the cervix yet I am, already feels like he is trying to dig his way out lol

New thread :yelclap: yay! Great idea IM! Hope you're not feeling too lonely. I actually love the peace & quiet when DH is away, LOL, but if he's away for any more than 2 nights then I start to miss him.

Pixie, no leaky boobs here yet but the nipples ..... OMG, so so sore, and so so big! I can't remember them being this sore & big last time. :(

Kayla, I only briefly read about your day in court. Sounds like you had a very long day. Don't you just love court. I've spent quite a bit of time in court, from my previous job, and it can be so, so boring! But, I used to love some of the sights I'd see! There's some bizarre people out there, that's for sure.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all doing well.

Me .... well, I've had a few aches & pains on the left side which felt like they went through to my back so I'm guessing it's my uterus stretching, or something like that. I had to go and lie down for about an hour tonight, but felt better afterwards. I'm having a very emotional night tonight ..... feeling sad at the fact that my daughter HAS TO go to kinder, and I HAVE TO let go of the reins a little this year in the lead up to school. It's so hard to let them go, even slightly, to get them ready for school life and then ultimately 'the real world'. It's hard to hear them say 'its ok mummy, you can go now' and not to feel so needed, and to be 'happy' about the fact that they'll be ok without you. I just love her so much, and want to keep her home with me forever .

God, what an emotional basket case I am. Gotta love these hormones 'ey?? :crying::D:mad:

Well I'm off to bed. I'll be right tomorrow!

DH is away tonight....I'm so lonely. DS is tucked into bed and I have no-one to talk to :(
I know how you feel - my DH is away for most of next week and then some of the week after. I'm normally fine without him here but I have a cold, am hormonal and whingey, am 26 weeks, have a 3 year old and just had a home invasion about 3 weeks ago so I've finally given in and will head off to my parents place for one night - DS will then stay with them for the day whilst I'm working - he is SO looking forward to it (and I'm SO looking forward to someone else cooking dinner )

Is your DH back today?

Well it's official I am leaking I have managed 9 months without breast pads You know, that is one thing I'm not really looking forward to - I would leak through breastpads overnight and wake up to a couple of warm, slushy pads.....hopefully there won't be as much leaking this time.:o

I'm having a very emotional night tonight ..... feeling sad at the fact that my daughter HAS TO go to kinder, and I HAVE TO let go of the reins a little this year in the lead up to school. It's so bittersweet isn't it? You want them to grow up and be happy and independent but on the other hand, don't want them to grow up at all? The words 'Mummy, I can do it mySELF!' are like that to me too. Be strong chicky, we're about to do it all over again....:hugs:

HBP - I think you asked me in the last thread if I have to travel anymore before the bub comes. I'm supposed to - I need to see some clients in North Queensland, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I was drained after travelling last week and have convinced myself that it's okay to slow down a little. Not sure if my boss will be quite as convinced (actually he's pretty good so it should be okay).

Well I had some mild panic over the past couple of days. I've been getting heaps of kicking out the front and on Friday, it all stopped although I was still getting niggles down low. I spoke to the OB yesterday who agreed that bub has probably just turned into position which is great. My son was posterior so I'm not used to a baby who is actually sitting the right way around. Now, just to sit tight so bubs stays that way for the next 3 months - it would be nice to have a non-posterior labour. I was told that posterior was extremely painful but didn't think it was too bad. Anything easier than that though would be great.

Is anyone else starting to feel exhausted again? I'm shattered by mid-afternoon and have some mild nausea at night again, no more big dinners. I'm wondering if it's my cold or normal 3rd trimester stuff?

yep im getting lots of kicks down below, they are so weird feeling.

well officially 14.5 weeks to go now!! im feeling a little better today not so hormonal, but i am so so sweltering hot, im feeling the weather more than usual and its awful, its only 22 at the moment and im ready to pass out!

I agree the newborn does look like Cargo lol
I am not buying a pram at all, but here in the UK not sure if they have them in Australia coz I never looked for a double pram lol but "Jane" make awesome doubles. If I were to buy one I would consider one of those.

Hey everyone, I need some advice.

I've been somewhat nauseous since Friday - I put it down to interstate travel and the heat knocking me out a bit.:dizzy: It's like morning sickness all over again and I am feeling decidedly dodgy all day. Today my tummy started feeling upset as well so it has been a fun filled afternoon of running to the bathroom and trying to rearrange my appointments for tomorrow just in case.

Of course, the first thing I worry about is bubs coming way too early but I doubt that is the case - the little angel is kicking away constantly and I don't have any cramping apart from the normal gastro type which is every now and again. Just my paranoia as my best girlfriend delivered at 29 weeks

Has anyone else felt like this in the past few weeks? I wonder if morning sickness can return. Vee, you were feeling a bit off too last week weren't you?

happybunnypony
06-02-2008, 06:26 PM
Hey RM, i think i have heard a few peeps say that their morning sickness had returned... and not even just morning!
I'm still getting it too :(

Well i had my first yukky bout of Heartburn! OOh dear, i didn't know what it was but from the symptoms i'm guessing thats it! It lasted a while, i was surprised, and i can feel it creeping up on me now  i'm going to down lots of water, i hope that helps.
I think i read somethinga bout having milk to help it, has this worked for anyone else... would it work if i had hot chocolate instead of plain milk? hehe

Pixie

RM I am still getting major all day week after week nausea some days are a real struggle. I also found taking Flouridx (sp) helped with my energy levels. I was like you feeling like by mid-late afternoon was ready for bed! My iron levels are fine, but the extra iron really helps me.

hey Rynosmum
how can you tell when bubs is coming into position? Do you just know, or is there a certain feeling? And when does it usually happen?

Kayangel
06-02-2008, 08:02 PM
HBP- First bubs normally are in the birthing position 4 weeks before there due date. As for how u can tell? i have been told u start to waddle and feel them down low  also ur OB would be able to tell u of bubs position.

rynosmum- Sorry to hear ur not feeling well.

Corie- Congrats on 25 weeks.

Mel- aww u brought tears to my eyes the way u just talked about ur DD and ur feelings, :( im already getting sad about the day i have to let my little boy go off.

As for court it was a sad day because knowing my nieces dad gets her is very upsetting he has no idea how to care for a bub, i fear what will happen after the supervised visits end.

Marzie- Good to hear ur feeling better today

Bel- how are u and Sienna?

Hi pixie.

Hi bec.

hey Rynosmum
how can you tell when bubs is coming into position? Do you just know, or is there a certain feeling? And when does it usually happen?

I really had no idea with my DS but based on how I felt with him and how it is with this bub, I think I have a bit of an idea. My son was posterior - his back to my back so all of his kicks were out front on my belly. He never really engaged so labour was a bit more difficult than it may otherwise have been. When I mentioned that this bub seemed to be moving into position, it's more that it turned the right way (it's tummy facing my back) which is why I wasn't feeling as many kicks.

From about 33 weeks, you might feel bub drop into an 'engaged' position. Then again, it may not happen until labour. Bubs can still turn very late in pregnancy so you can never be too sure. The best part is that now I know that this bub can move to the right position and stay there for a few days - hopefully that's the position s/he likes and stays in so s/he engages properly this time:thumbsup:

Does any of that make sense :o:laughing:

Hey RM, sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. It's perfectly normal to be thinking the worst, that the baby's coming, but I don't think that would be it. I've heard of many women getting morning sickness again in their 3rd trimester. Maybe it's your body's way of telling you to slow down?? If you're still not 100% tomorrow or the next day I'd be going to the doctor, just for peace of mind. I hope you feel better soon :hugs:.

I could tell as soon as my DD was in position at 34 weeks because of the intense pressure on my bladder. I honestly felt like I was going to the toilet every 5 minutes, especially during the night.

RM & Kayla, thanks for your kind words about my ramble last night. I know you have some idea of what I was on about RM because our kids are of similar age. I was so emotional and every now and then I just get scared/worried about things and have little mini freak outs :raspberry:, but I'm much better today. DD was great when I left her at kinder today, and she didn't cry once so that was awesome. I have a check up tomorrow and hubby is taking DD to gym (can you believe it? hubby's actually doing something with our daughter! might have to call ripley's believe it or not ).

Anyhoo, off to watch a little more of Bridget Jones Diary (for about the 15th time) before I go to sleep.

Vee I read your other thread but didn't know what to say apart from :hugs: I truly admire you for sticking by your DH through his accident and his ongoing rehabilitation, many people wouldn't throw themselves into being essentially a fulltime carer as you have. In saying that though, and running the risk of sounding like my mother, you are young and have a whole life of love and living ahead of you. No one is to blame for what happened but at the end of the day it shouldn't mean that your life stops because his world has changed. Would you still be with him if he were acting like this but didn't have the injury?

Stay together because you're in love and you see a future together, not because you feel obligated. He is the daddy of your kids but your feelings are important too:hugs: Be kind to yourself - it's a huge decision.

I was about to put Eliza down for her midday sleep, but the postman just turned up with 3 soft toys from the Night Garden program so no chance now lol she is playing!

Vee, Meh I am sorry, will respond more somewhere else :hugs:

Well my DD never engaged well she did but she always floated in and out she went to full engagement and out again even during labour. I never had the bowling ball feeling or waddling with her. JJ is head down now and posterior all kicks are out front. With Eliza she was in perfect birthing position LOA

JJ was head up at my 22 weeks scan but he's moved now yoga helps!

OK now she's asking to go to bed lol BBL

RM - sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I agree with Mel - if you're still not feeling well today, I'd go off to the doctor, just to be sure and put yourself at ease. I haven't had morning sickness with either of my pregnancies so far (touch wood!) but I hate being sick, so can only imagine how hard it is for you.

Vee - sorry you're still not feeling well either. :hugs: for the situation with your DH. I hope that you can work things out. What RM said is so spot on - you should be together because you're in love, not because you feel obligated. I just want you to know how much I admire you for everything that you do - you really are an incredible young woman.

Mel - so great that your DD didn't cry yesterday! Yay for Em!! And it's great that your DH is taking DD to gym. I hope they have a great time together - maybe he'll want to do more stuff with her if they have a good time. Fingers crossed, hey? Would be nice for you to get a break and for them to spend some time together.

Pixie - sorry you're still getting nausea too. So is JJ giong to be bubba's name, or just a nickname for now?

Hello all other May mummies - Kayla, Meegzz, HBP, Amanda and everyone else I've forgotten.

We're off to playgroup for the first time today. Not sure how we'll go - as Isaac is going to have to miss out on his morning sleep - hopefully he just crashes as soon as it's over for an hour or so. And hopefully he plays with the other kiddies instead of hiding behind me the whole time:laughing: Though, if I'm back here crying this afternoon it's because as soon as we got there he didn't pay any attention to me whatsoever! You can't win, hey?!!

hi everyone, today im feeling like c**p, woke up at 1am feeling sick, then i got up to get a drink of water, then half way back to bed i ended up running to the toilet and :barf:. after the first 2 goes i couldnt breathe for a bit then i could and all the rest came out. so now im still feeling sick and my throat is killing me. i know what made me sick too, those bl**dy falafel balls that we bought, it happened once b4 when i had them too, but it was worse last time. So now i have decided no more felafel balls! and last night my back was killing me again. it seems ok at the moment.
sorry to blab on....

Hello Girlies....

Mel - its so sad to think that oneday im goinna have to do that tooo it must be so hard to let go!!! But you are being very brave!!!

Kayla - Its really **** about your neices dad getting her especially as he sounds useless from what you are saying... but one good thing is you get to supervise (thats what i got from your other post is that right)

Hello isaacs mummy - i havent spoken to you for like ever and your my due date buddy :D.
its great that you started a new thread for us... we really needed it!! Glad you figured it out as i never would have been able to!!!

V8 - i hope you are feeling better today it sucks that you feel so sh!t!!!

Cassie - i hope that your food poisoning passes soon as it is a horrible feeling and i can just imagine how bad it is when you are pregnant!!!

Ryansmummy - i hope you start to feel better too. Try to stay positive!!! I know its hard at times but if you are heaps worries you should go see your obs or GP just to be sure and it will probably settle your mind!!

HBP - You have made me feel a bit better!!! I havent felt bubs move too much in the last couple of days like i can feel him/her sometimes (rarely) but nothing like what it was a couple of weeks ago but im guess bubz is on my bladder at times as i feel massive pressure sometimes and have to go right then and there.
I had my appointment last firday and all was great.. the heartbeat was good although my GP didnt tell me the heart rate but said it all sounded well.. the fundal height was measuring correctly and yeah it was great! So i may be worrying over nothing but sometimes its a bit scary and you just wait for that little kick or thud haha.

Hello to everyone else no names this time as i forget ppl!!!

Me - I had the funeral yesterday it was a so sad but the wake was great!! It was like a massive family gathering it sucked coz of the circumstances it was happening but it was great all the kids were running around playiong backyard cricket... DP got very drunk and emotionally messy at the end but he got over it so it was ok!!!
Very late night though and i am still exhausted... cant wiat till hometime thats for sure!!!

I have decided that i will be leaving work at the end of APril - im not due till the end of May but this is exhausting me and im not enjoying my days b4 being a mummy - i love the ppl i work with but work is so slow and boring atm andi just sit here waiting for the phone to ring! I get a trainee at the start of April so that iwll be the boringest month of my life!!! As i will have nothing to do as my trainee will be doing it aggghh:hair:. When i started here i had a weeks training and that was it.. i dont understand why someone should need a month to do this... my job has changed and there are a few extra tasks now but really its not hard!!!!

Ok that should of been in the venting thread maybe hahaha

Well hope yous are all having a good day!

Thanks all, i just know if i do decide to leave it's going to be such a big stress making the break as there are lots of legal implications blah blah blah and what not and it's not a standard situation so it would be hard to know where i stand. Anywho, don't wanna flood this thread with my cr*p, so thanks for the advice and hugs guys, it's really appreciated. It's giving me things to think about.

Hope those that are feeling sick are getting a little relief, i am still feeling 'fluey' and DS has a bit of a cough so that's not much fun.

With regards to bubs kicking i feel him a bit more now which is great, but not constant like Josh, but i think it may mean he's in the right position, rather than Josh being posterior. Posterior labour is not fun! lol I haven't been to the GP since before christmas, been meaning to, but couldn't be bothered honestly, i can feel him move i'm sure things are ok and i just don't wanna deal with the doctor.

Hi ladies,

I had a check up today and everything's great :D. Gyno is very happy with the size of my belly, the GD is under control for now, no high blood pressure:yelclap: and I got a gold star, LOL! I don't have to go back for 4 weeks. WAHOO He's booked me in for a c-section at 39w, 2 days on 22 May, 2008 so that's a bit exciting!!

Vee, have you posted somewhere else about the probs you're having with DH? I couldn't find it , might have to go and investigate further. Sounds like you're doing it pretty rough, and I'm so sorry to hear that - I honestly don't know how you do it. It must be incredibly hard on you. Jeez, I think I have it bad sometimes but I shouldn't complain really! RM summed it up beautifully about staying because you want to and because you love him, rather than staying because you feel obliged. It's a scary thought, leaving with a child and a baby on the way, I was having those exact thoughts last weekend, and it would be even harder for you because of the legal implications etc. We're all here if EVER you need to chat or vent, and I'm sure we're all good at giving lots of these - :hugs:!

RM, you feeling any better today?? I hope you are, or that you've gone to the doctor if not! You resting yet?? :D

IM, I hope you're right about DH wanting to spend more time with DD. Gym went well this morning and he was beaming while telling me about it, so that's a good sign. He knows he has to change and be more helpful, the hard part will be getting him to make that change - but soon he will have no choice. He's even offered to do late feeds during the week, because he usually stays up late anyway, if I express so that will be awesome. How did playgroup go today?

cassie, sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. No more falafel's for you!

meegzz, great idea about finishing up at the end of April, that will give you about a month to relax, get everything organised, and just have some time to yourself prior to the birth. I'm glad the funeral went as well as can be expected. I think funerals and getting drunk pretty much go hand in hand these days. I tried really hard to get drunk at dad's but it didn't work, but a few days later I did a pretty good job of it and had a very sore head the next day :crying:.

How is everyone else going? Well, I hope!

I'm off to do some vacuuming and other housework now, so I might pop back later.

Hey Mel, yeah i posted in another area that is a bit more 'private' if that makes sense. Thanks for your lovely words, it's so frustrating and i know it's easy to just lose the plot sometimes i do love him, but how much of myself am i willing to sacrifice to try and make him happy, at the end of the day it's up to him to chose his moods and his happiness and not take it out on me. He said today he'll try not to be an a**hole but he just gets frustrated, well we all get frustrated but don't carry on like that. It makes me very sad for our beautiful DS's. Anywhoo...

That's excellent that your DH is making more of an effort with DD, i hope it continues but as you said he kinda doesn't have a choice when you'll be so consumed with the new bubba for the first few months.

Cassie - That is sucky about not feeling well, you poor thing!

Meegz - Also sorry to hear about the funeral but glad it went ok as these things are very hard. Wow you will nearly be finishing work, how exciting i think that's a great plan to give yourself a month off to relax. Just hope it works that way i know a girl who decided to take the month of before her due date, she went into labour that weekend! Poor thing, so just take it easy on yourself.

Isaacsmummy - Hope playgroup went well and hope both you and Isaac had a fun time. :) Let us know how it went.

Pixie - That's so cute that Eliza got some pressies, and then asked to go to bed, how cute! Joshy got a present from the postman today too, a Bob the Builder backpack it's sweet, he loved it.

Gosh it's hot here in Brissy was raining so much yesterday and now it's sweltering! Bugger. Hope everyone else is well. :)

Chat soon.

Hey Mel, yeah i posted in another area that is a bit more 'private' if that makes sense.

Yes, I finally found it. You poor love! I hope something like counselling could help your hubby - he must be so frustrated too! Unfortunately with something like a debilitating brain injury I guess things could even get worse, but I really hope for your sake that things get better. How did his accident actually happen?? I read what you wrote about staying with him and being miserable while putting up with him taking everything out on you, but live in a nice home etc., as opposed to leaving and living in poverty with the 2 boys. Oh honey, that's such a tricky, heart breaking situation for you to be in and I pity you having to make such a decision but at the end of the day YOU have to be happy. :hugs:

Vee - It was very hard but i think it was hard for the fact that the ppl that i love were so upset it was horrible.... i loved the Aunt too but myu love for her was nothing compared to how a lot of the ppl there especailly the family!!!
I hope it works out that i get a bit a of time to myself as i have said to mum and other ppl if it is gonna come early its gonna come i cant stop it just hopefully it will be healthy and well... but i think that i will be right for that knowing my luck it will overcook hahaha:D.
I hope everything works out for you vee... it doesnt sound very fun at all.... you seem like a very patient and caring person, i just hope everything works out for the best for you and your 2 bubz!!! :hugs:

Mel - Glad all went well at your appointment and its great tthat everything is perfect!!!!
So happy for you!!
It was funny to see all these ppl were so emotionaly drunk haha one minute laughter the next tears - funny i gotta say!!! There would of been plenty of ppls with sore head this morning hahaha.

Me - straight after i posted about bub being quiet he/she has been going crazy and it is actually a little painful haha so im guessing all is well which is great

Thanks Mel and meegz.

Mel - yeah it is hard, i just emailed my sister to read what i wrote here so she can understand what i'm going through. I also asked if i do decide to leave him if i can live in her unit (as a tenant) and she said she'd work it out and if there's anything she can do to help to just ask. So worst case i would be living in a two bedroom shoebox unit paying half my earnings in rent but not having the extra worry of DH. But still i'd still be worrying about him no matter what, he's my son's dad. Sucky sucky situation.

Meegz - I kinda know what you mean at the funeral, like when my grandma died, i wasn't that sad that i lost my grandma cause she was old and sick, i was sad that my grandad lost his wife and that my dad lost his mother, so i was sad for others, but not really myself. And yay for bubba kicking!!

cassie0011

meegz- i dont think its food poioning cause it happened b4 with the felafels about 2 months ago, my body sometimes rejects some foods when im preg. It was the same when i was preg with my son, i couldnt have fresh juices, everytime i had one i would throw it up, the whole pregnancy.

i hope i am feeling better 2moro and my throat stops hurting, its hard to eat when its like that. thanks everyone.

Oh Cassie - yukky!! Definately no more falafel balls for you!! Hope you're feeling better soon and your throat stops hurting.

Mel :smiliedance: for your gold star!!! So glad that your GD is under control and so is your blood pressure. AND you have a "date" to meet bubba now too:yelclap: How exciting for you!! I'm so glad your DH had a good time with DD this morning. I hope he continues to help you out, and to spend more time with your DD - it will be so great for all of you. And how awesome that he offerred to do late feeds. What a sweetie.

Vee - just want to send you some more :hugs: I know they probably don't help a whole real lot, and I wish there was more I could do to help you out. All I want to say to you is, that you need to do what's best for YOU right now. You're growing a baby, and you need to look after yourself, and be able to get through each day with as little stress as possible (which, with a 2 year old running around - is near impossible I know!!). I'm so glad that your sister said she'd help you out if that's what's needed. It makes things a little easier knowing that whatever you decide to do, your family will be there to support you. And as Mel said - we're all here for you to vent, to cry, to support you in whatever you do hun :hugs:

Meegzz - hiya due date buddy! How exciting that you only have a few more weeks of work left! I left work three weeks to the day Isaac was born - and I must say - by the end of it I was well and truly ready for him to arrive!! I thought it would be great to rest, and relax, and enjoy the time with DH before bubs was born - and it was - but still, you do get bored very quickly!! Make sure you leave some nursery stuff to do, or have some scrapbooking, or fun crafty stuff to do to keep you occupied. Then again, as Vee said - bubba may come early. Glad bubba is kicking again. Mine doesn't move :( This baby is obviously a lot quieter than Isaac was/is - but I'm sure it'll keep me a vengence one of these days

Playgroup was good. Isaac loved it. He didn't want much to do with me, except for when I offered him some food! Typical boy. He had a great time just roaming around the room playing with stuff and singing and eating and giving me cheeky grins! I think we'll go back. And hopefully next time I won't be as shy and will talk to a few more mummies. It's actually really good, as it's run at a church, and they have a foodbank afterwards - they have various groceries really cheap for families and those who are struggling, so next time I'll take some money and be able to pick up some things and save a bit of money. Everything is so expensive down here in Canberra, and it's hard with only one wage, so anything we can save will be great. I really need to get a job....but with a baby on the way....I'm not particularly employable!!

i was 26 wks yesterday!
my midwife told me that when you are preg with 2nd or more your cervix starts to open a little from 37 wks, so hopefully that means i will go early, my best friend went into labour early for her first pregnancy, 4 days early and she had a boy. so there is hope for first time mummies to go early.

I reckon late but only coz i dont get much movement so its a lazy one haha i think its comfy and i reckon bub will be a bit overcooked for sure haha knowing my luck especially - i hate waiting for things and i always have to!
But who nows i have 16 weeks to go and it might all change in that time!!!

Kayla, that's a bit exciting that we are now both due on the same date. I'll leave mine as the 28th because if everything is going well they will let me go until the 40 week mark, but they just 'penciled me in' for that day! It's a Thursday, I must be destined to have a Thursday's child as my daughter was due on a Thursday. I was induced on the Wed night, then in labour all day & night Thurs but she arrived early hours of Friday morning.

Sometimes I look at my signature, like I did today, and see '15w, 5 days to go' and I think 'jee that's not far away' and then I think 'OMG, that's me, in roughly 15w, 5 days I'll have a newborn' (that's not far away). Holy Cow!!!! Talk about freak myself out.

IM, glad everything went well at playgroup today. It's hard not being shy and putting yourself out there to talk to new people, but in a few weeks you'll be fine.

Vee, at least you'd know that you'd have somewhere to go if it came to that. Sounds like either path will be difficult, I really don't know what to say, it's a very sad situation for you. My thoughts are with you though, and my hubby is pretty good at stressing me out too (as per my posts last weekend) so in a tiny way I understand what you're going through.

Kayla: Congrats on 25 weeks. I just started to get the nesting thing not last night but the night before. I was lying in bed and could not sleep. I had the sudden desire to rearrange the house and paint. I got up and started clearing the spare room. Since then I have moved the dining room into another room, and moved the computer area, got rid of the ugly curtains I no longer like, washed all the other curtains, took the covers off the ottomans and washed those also, filed heaps of papers, rearranged my and my husbands’ wardrobes, done the huge stack of ironing that needed doing, went through clothes to give stuff we don’t want to charity, dusted the house, thrown out heaps of other stuff. That is why I have been missing from here the last couple of days. I have a really sore body so can’t do any more for the moment (although have to start washing up and cooking dinner in a minute).

Happybunnypony: I am doing a simular thing called power birth. It is basically mind training for pregnancy. It is a 7 week course. So far they have not said anything about silence, but we have been doing lots of relaxation stuff, and yoga pelvic floor training.

Marzie: Yeah Toys R Us are great. I got most of my stuff there on sale. I just kept an eye on the catalogue and got things I needed when on sale. I have the Bruin rocking chair (they have a few mine is the wood one with beige fabric). I have almost everything now. Just need a set of draws and the pram. My dad is getting the pram. I have not got a high chair either but thought I would wait til the baby is about to ween (not sure how to spell it).

Issacs Mummy: Thanks for the new thread

Rynosmum: Your bub will be ok. I had cramps and the midwife told me it is ok as long as the baby is still moving. Have not had any return of morning sickness though.

V8: Hope you are ok. My thoughts are with you. Sorry I don’t know what to say.

I'm all over the place at the moment so just skim read the last few pages, but...

V8- I haven't read your other thread but I can understand what it is to feel so overwhelmed by a family member/situation. I hope you can sort things out, and find some space for yourself as well. :hugs:

I feel really bad for those who are feeling sick, my minor complaints aren't worth complaining about compare to that. I suffered really bad sickness in the alst trimester, I could eat but only in small amounts, it really helps.

Who was saying they were going to go late? I went early and I'm expecting to again, I'm due on the 29th so I guess it could go eather way. My guess is the 25th is the day.

I'm off to go winge in the other thread...

Howdy

Bec we're calling him Jeremiah Jacob so JJ is short for that, we keep joking that we're going to move to the bible belt of America and saw wood with the name we've chosen lol

Cassie oh gawd poor you, I really hope you feel better soon, being that sick at anytime is horrible.

HBP I am interested in hypnobirthing I haven't really looked into it. I have been looking at some visual aids I guess you call them another member here "motherduck" had some photo's of images called Mandalas and they are quite interesting I have printed some out might colour them in. I am going to use those and also yoga I as I have mentioned found last time the yoga breathing and techniques very helpful.

Mel you having a section because of the GD? I must say knowing the day you will have the baby is nice lol
Anticipation nearly killed me last time lol

I know what you mean about it only been 15 weeks away lordy where does the time go!!

Oh Bec glad Playgroup went well we have playgroup this morning, I hardly see Eliza for the 2 hours we're there she is so busy playing mainly with trains lol She loves it they have painting as well :D

OK I better dry my hair try to make myself look half decent!

hi hi all!
not a biggie tonight cause i'm soo exhausted!
I did so much walking today and was wearing the worst shoes for it! ohwell!

Got my hospital appt tomorrow with the midwife, which will be good, hopefully she'll have some more information about what was found in bubs ultra sound... when i went and saw my doctor about it she wasn't too cluey on it unfortunately :(
But will be good to get advice at least!

Kayla and Mel: YAY i hope you both deliver on 22nd!

Pixie: yeah i want to do Yoga classes, i think they will help, i'm not 100% sure but is relaxation is a big thing in labour... other mums, can you help?

Miranda: that powerbirth sounds interesting, i'll have to investigate that too!

Would love to keep writing more, but i reaaaally have to put my feet up. I've had the worst cramps and heartburn lately :( i need a big does of relaxing!

I have to say when I was in labour I could focus on simple things and breath through each contraction with little to no pain I got to 6cms in about 8 hours and only 2-3 contractions caused me to go oh **** that hurt lol the Nurses kept saying do you want an epidural now, most people get them around now I was like whyyyy I am in no pain lol the monitor thingo was going off the chart thing as they were so strong, I also had a heat pack on the underneath of my belly which helped heaps!

Power of the mind I tell you lol

Bel I feel a little like that, but I know it's normal and once the 2nd babies are here it will all be fine :D

Pixie - I LOVE the name Jeremiah Jacob :D It's gorgeous. Jacob is on my shortlist of boy's names. It's one of the only names DH and I agree on. I'm not looking forward to the day they bring out painting at playgroup - it will be very, very messy  Thankfully yesterday was only glue and pretty little pictures and wool and stuff, so Isaac wasn't too interested in that - more interested in running around, eating his apple and trying to pick up the balls!

Bel - I know how you feel. I love Isaac so, so, so much, it's hard to imagine having enough love to share around with another baby. I do love this little one already though, it was giving me some good little kicks last night. And I know once bubs is here it will be hard to imagine ever thinking I couldn't love it the same way! I'm more worried about how I'm going to feel being away from Isaac when I have this baby than how Isaac is going to go without mummy and daddy there!! I know he'll be with his Nan who he absoulutely adores, so he'll have a great time! Swimming lessons for Sienna is a great idea. Isaac has swimming lessons on the weekends with Daddy too - and it's nice for them to have something they do together. They both really enjoy it.

HBP - hope the middie is able to help you out a little today. Let us know how it all goes. I found learning to relax my body through the contractions really helped me during labour. I was able to labour without drugs, and I really feel it had to do with the fact that I learnt to relax and breathe through the worst of things. Hard to do in the situation!! But totally worth it.

Miranda - you put me to shame!! I wish I had the nesting urge - there is so much I want to do around here before my in-laws come to visit in two weeks, and before baby arrives, but I just don't have the motivation. And it's hard with my little "helper" hovering around me all day long!! He's very gorgeous - but is really much more of a hinderance than a help :D Still, it's very cute that he tries to help me out. He has his own little toy vacuum cleaner and whenever I'm vacuuming he brings it out and tries to help me clean the floors!! He even brings it out when I'm not vacuuming - must be trying to tell me something

Well I should finish my shopping list and get off my big butt and do something today! Back to chat later...!

bel- sorry i dont have any tips, i want to get him off it but dont know how. im going to speak to a child health nurse on the 19th feb about my sons sleep problem so hopefully she can tell me how to get him off his dummy.
i have tried to give him bigger dummies so they dont fall out, but that hasnt helped either.

my son is 16 1/2 months old. most of the time i have to put it in when he wakes for it, we co-sleep too, so im right next to him. i try not to give his dummy during the day, but if he sees it he wants it so i have to hide it. my son also still doesnt sleep through the night so that is why im trying to get some help from a Child heatlh nurse.

Hey All

Just really quick got a doc appt in 20 mins. I think i sprained my ankle yesterday (last time i hurt my left one now it's my right). I'm such an idiot i fell from just walking to the line from the laundry, it twisted my ankle and my knee and my back. So going to get that checked out and also check out the baby, haven't had a check since before christmas.

Will be back later to update and to do personals.

I picked up my pram and capsule today!! yay!! was so exciting getting it all out the box and playing around with it, also put on another lay by at the same place which dad is going to pay off for me :) i decided on a animal theme for my nursery all the stuff is so cute awww, i decide on animals because we live in a country style home and also live in a bush/wildlife area and because im a animal lover so i think it all fits in well.

I WANT MY LITTLE BOY!!! seeing all his stuff and getting it all ready makes me want him here now! i cant wait i want 14 weeks 5 days to fly.

08-02-2008, 03:05 PM
:yelclap: to you kayla - what sort of animals did you do?? farm animals??? jungle animals??? Just curious?!
ME - I ended up deciding on winnie the pooh in the end although i haven't put the layby on yet but i will on the weekend maybe?! I have bought some toys for decrotive purposes and some spare cot sheets but they are not the main ones i want to use they are just back up when the others are wet haha im so fussy... i just want everything to be right!!! I have got a coat hook wall plaque thingy (winnie the pooh) and some blankies, bibs, clothes and even dummies!!
Its great that we are all getting there!!!
I still dont know if i have made the right decision with the pram but!!! I will be picking that up next week but i think i should have got a 4 wheeler for some reason!! Only for the fact that they are easier to steer etc! Ohwell im sure i will work it out!
Im gonna go and pay off my cot bar $50.00 aswell so then i can pick it up with my next pay... i get paid next friday so the pay after that so its not in the way but i get paid monthly so that sucks!!! so i gotta make sure i save money too as i only have 3 more pays left haha :D excited as!!!
Hmmm im so bored today at work aggghhh i could go crazy but only 55 more inutes (not that im counting haha)
Im going out for tea with a GF tonight yay im excited she is due September the 30th woohoo we get bubs together!!! 4 months isnt too much time haha :smiliedance: so hmmm 16 weeks left for me im excited but i am soooo not ready i have still got sooooooo much to organise haha ohwell it will all fall into place!!!
I wish i could get the cleaning bug though as my house is so untidy.... not messy or dirty just cluttered i really need to clean out places etc i cant be bothered haha
Well i better stop chattering and finish up... i can gauarantee i will stay logged on and do noooo work

by the way V8 - Good luck!!!!

Hey guys

Back from the doc. My ankle is sprained, not much i can do about it but rest and keep it elevated with ice. She also gave me a referral for an x-ray incase it's still sore on Monday to go and get it done as she said with pregnancy your bones are more relaxed so i may have done more damage without knowing. Oh and to take panadol, but i hate taking panadol, it normally doesn't do jack, but i might have to take it my back is sore too (a different sore from normal soreness i get!) lol Bubs wise heart beat was fine, she guessed about 150bpm, also measuring fine, and she was a little concerned as my blood pressure is slightly higher than last time so have to go back and get that checked. Urine was mostly fine but she said she's going to send it off incase i have a bug just in case. So have to go back in a week or so, also have to get my Glucose test done next week. So yeah that's about all from that side of things.

Miranda - I have had a nesting urge too, have fought it off a few times, but today even with my sore ankle and everything DH and i did some spring cleaning, we cleaned the bathrooms, cleaned all the skirting boards, cleaned the ceiling fan, did some washing, cleaned all the mirrored cupboards, dusting, scrubbing walls, vacumming and mopping. Next i need to organise our cupboards and also i'm going to get into Cameron's room and start organising all his clothes etc and wash all Joshy's old clothes and get them organised. It feels great now that i have done some things, even though i'm not supposed to be! lol Oops!

Isaacs mummy - My inlaws arrive tomorrow, hence the bit of spring cleaning, but this house is 6 months old so not much i have had to do, but i'm glad it's done. Maybe your inlaws coming down soon will spur you into action, plus you don't wanna be doing heaps of stuff past the third trimester as it's too uncomfy. I reckon anyways! lol Glad Isaac had fun at playgroup and it sounds like a great deal with the food hampers etc. I hope you continue to go and enjoy it. :)

Kayla - Wow you have nearly got everything now, how exciting, have you updated the nursery pics thread? Even if you just take pics of what you've bought it doesn't have to be all set up yet, you could do like before and after piccies! lol I reckon the animal theme would be cool, plus it's unisex anyways incase you have more bubbas down the track.

Meegz - Yay for nearly knock off time, hope you have a great weekend, i don't know how you can cope at work, i guess it's been ages since i've had a normal job so i think id be really hating it if i had to work! lol Depends what i'm doing though i guess some people say they'd rather be at work then looking after demanding little people all day long! lol Anywho hope you have a good one.

Bel - Swimming lessons for Sienna sounds fabulous and a great way for your DH to spend time with her in the lead up to having your little man. I think we also worry about having subsequent babies and whether we can spend enough time with each one, i guess it's particularly hard though when Sienna really is not independant enough to understand that your little man will have needs aswell. Most people say it's hard for the first 6 months and then it'll get better, so i hope for you that little Mr is a great easygoing bubba.

Cassie - Sorry your little man isn't giving you much sleep at night, hope he settles before bubs comes.

Catalytic - Thanks for the thoughts hun, and yeah i know you understand the daunting task of having to care for someone, it really is a stressful situation.

Hi to everyone else: Rynosmum, Pixie, HBP, Emsmum, Amandaw and everyone else i forgot to mention.

Not long now ladies and we are in our third trimester.

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow, so there must be others that have gotten to 28 weeks, so yeah only 13 weeks and 1 day for me! :) Well that's if bubs comes on his due date, which i'm sure he probably won't! ;)

Well it's a lovely morning (because it's the weekend). DS and I are watching the incredibles and waiting for the paper to arrive. I think it's only just hit me how grown up he is now and how he is so self sufficient in so many ways, things are about to change so much!

Baby has been dancing in my belly almost all night, sometimes quite forcefully - I'm sure that DS used to sleep a lot more. I was told that this time I was due for a fiesty bubba as he was such a calm little one:p

Pixie, I read your other thread about poor Eliza. How the heck do you get scabies these days? You really need to come back to Australia:yes:. How is she feeling? I don't know much about it - how severe is the itching? Poor little girl:hugs:

Wow Kayla, that's a huge list of stuff! I admire you - my hubby and I both work fulltime jobs and I can't justify the expense of all of those things (although they would be so lovely) - I hope someone is helping you out!

Great news about your checkup Vee (not about the ankle though of course). I hope things are looking up for you on the home front too - it sounds like you need that bit of a break to have time to sort it all out in your own mind.:hugs:

Hope you had a great night out Meegzz!

I'm off - DS wants some breakfast and if I don't help him - he'll get it himself:eek:

RM I updated that thread, they think she either got it at Playgroup or more than likely her dance class as they are barefoot there and it generally starts in their feet. She is a trooper though she isn't scratching it at all, she says it's scratchy and it hurts but she is leaving it well alone. I am keeping her very busy lol so she hasn't really had time to focus on it!

I know durty people here I tell you, I always called it Scab-ies lol Hopefully by tomorrow morning she'll be looking better she's gone to bed covered in the cream they gave us at the hospital it's already reduced the redness, bless her she's so good :D

mornin all!
yes i agree Rynosmum! it is a great morning, because it's the WEEKEND and no work for 2 whole days! YAY!
How long are you working up until, i'm not sure if i asked u that before? I got asked yesterday when i am starting maternity leave and i said 21st March... i think that gives me 6 weeks before bubs is due! I hope that is enough time, i really have to start thinking of a bugdet plan for then to prepare!!

Pixie: i hope eliza is okay... ooh that must be hard on her, she sounds soo cuuute though, not itching!

Kayla, i love your list, reminds me that i have NOTHING yet~! hahaha i really need to start collecting things!

I'm 27 weeks and a few days! YAY!!! verrry exciting... Although a few annoying things have popped up:
Heartburn and Chafing!
Anyone else going through this ****?

ALSO at my middy appt yesterday everything was measuring good and hr is good. I asked her more about the ecogenic focus they found at the US but she didn't know so she put me through to another doctor at the hospy and he explained it all to my DP and me! It was such a relief to FINALLY chat to someone who knew a bit more info about it. He seemed happy that no other markers had appeared on my US for Downs and that we are still low risk. It was also good for my DP to hear all this, because when i first found out i was alone and stopped listening after i heard "abnormality, my baby, ds" it was hard to relay information back to him!!

Sooo we are going to be even more positive that things will turn out great with bubs now!

OK well we are off to the valley markets now!! talk to you later xoxo

bel- Thanks for ur help its good to hear from a experinced mummy.

- room thermometer, ur right i dont really need one, i will cross that off my list.
- baby monitor, is a must as bubs is going upstairs and i would never hear him from my room.

- waterproof mattress proctecters, oh wow i will have to head down to big W, 2 for 10 bucks thats a great deal.

- bottle carrier, I use the section in the baby bag for this- im silly i didnt even think of that i had it on my list before i got the bag.

- bottles, im only planning on buying 2! as im hoping to breastfeed, just getting 2 just in case i cant.

- cover for change table, are u asking wat this is?? u no the change mats on top of the change tables, i want a warm soft cover for the change table, i think it would be nicer then just laying bubs on plastic.

happybunnypony- There is still 3 mths to buy things, u will be fine and get everything in time, i just love shopping and always have to be doing it!

That's a big list Kayla! I'm starting to clean and sort things out this week. No point washing everything until the last week, its just going to sit there and get dusty anyway. Same with the bassinette I'm not putting any of the baby stuff together until the week before my due date. I sorted and put away one box of size 1 and 2 clothes yesterday. Now I just have pull out the babies clothes and sort through what I will and wont use again.

I'm not having a nursery until the baby is at least 6 months. So I'm moving all the stuff out of the spare room and putting DD in there as she is getting a single bed and princess canopy that just wont fit in the other room. I may just end up putting the cot in her room since there will be enough space (that's if DD wants to share). Either way I have a heap of sorting cleaning and moving to do. We have so much stuff we need a spare room to store it, we also have a queen size bed I don't want to get rid of. The matress is handy to pull out into the loungeroom on a cold night for watching movies.

I really feel like I'm starting to get bigger. Good thing is I've only put on 3kg! :D considering I put on 29kg (and only lost 6 of those) last time I think this is a good sign. I still fit in my pre-pregnacy clothes they just get strethched over my belly. Belly bands are wonderful things, they keep everything tucked in and my pant up!

hi everyone!!

kayla- yikes!! you have a big list! i hardly have anything ready for my little girl. only about 3 pieces of clothes so far:laughing:. we r hoping to get some more stuff this weekend when we have some extra cash. we r going to use most of the stuff from my son for our girl and we dont have any room if we buy anything big. i already have a change table, cradle, bottles, dummies, steriliser, bottle warmer, etc.. so will just use them, makes it cheaper for us. we want to get a few blankets that r pink, and some other little things.

my leg is starting to get a little better, im not limping as much now, so hopefully we can meet up soon. im getting sick of staying at home!

i have a phone appointment on 19 feb for some help to get my son to sleep better and in his own bed, im hoping that what they tell me will work, if not i have to speak to them again and they will decide on what to do next, eg day stay, night stay etc.

thats all for now!!

Who are you getting the phone help through Cassie? Its sounds like something I might need too. I'll see how I go with DD when she gets her new bed, but this going to sleep at 11pm has to stop!

Bel, I'd love to come meet you, I've been trying to plan a trip to Sydney for the last year! I've got several people up there that I want to meet, plus my cousin lives in Canberra I'd like to drop in and see him as well. Its just so hard trying to plan a holiday, DP and I have never been on one together. My last holiday was to Tasmania for 2 days just before I found out I was pregnant with DD.

OMG, I only have 15 weeks to go it seems like its just around the corner. I think I'll start on some sorting today!

 Everyone!!!!

Kayla - That is a big list haha is the theme you are doing called barnyard by Kidsline??? I was gonna get that one too as i fell in love with the bassinette haha but i am doing winnie the pooh which is also by the same brand it doesnt have a bassinette but i am in love but the only place that has the style i want is baby bunting... toys r us does winnie the pooh in a different style but same brand so i dont know just yet! but yes i agree it is very pricey but the detail in it all is amazing and it is all good quality, so it seems worth it to me especially as it is our first and you just want everything to be "right".
I haven't got any of mine yet i have got spare sheets etc but not my main ones!!!

Catalytic - Nice piccy!! 3 kgs isnt bad i have put on 7kg... im small anyway so im not tooo bothered but i just am hoping i will be motivated to loose it afterwards... i have a feeling i will put on between 15 and 20 so who knows!!!
Bubs is going crazy last couple of days feels like this :smiliedance:. Hahahahaha

HBP - Great news with your US!!! Bet your happy and relieved now!!! And heartburn i have had it for ages now but as soon as i start to get it a little bit i take quickease or mylanta as both are safe through pregnancy!!!

Pixie - So sad that she has chicken pox must be so itchy but as you said she is a trooper so she wont let it stop her!!! Hopefully it doesnt last long!!!!

AmandaW - I have like ages compared to you im only 24.5 weeks agghhh ohwell the time will come when it wants!!!

Rynosmum - Friday night was good its good to hang out with GFs sometimes!!! She is so sick though with morning/all day siockness after she eats anything gotta feel sorry for her!!!

Vee - I am over work completely, but i cant see me not working forever i get bored at home even if there are ppl with me im just one of these people that need to have constant things to do... motherhood may suit me better than i think as i will constantly be on the go im sure!!!!

Me - It must be the time of the year for bad stuff to happen.. Friday night a guy i used to be good friends with decided to end his life...(that is two fridays in a row that this has happened to me!)
I am sooooooooo angry and upset and i think he is soooo selfish!!! He has left behind a 3 year old daughter who doted on him!!! It is her birthday this week or next and aggghhh how can someone be so silly not tp think of the effects it has on others and to get help instead of taking the easy gutless way out!!!
Sorry that belongs in the venting thread!!!!

OMG Meegz that's awful! are you serious, did you mean two people have done this in the last couple of weeks?? I hope you're ok :hugs:

Cassie- LOL I know what you mean about being slack, I still have to get DD her 2yo injections. I haven't bothered seeing the maternal child health nurse since I moved here. I kept leaving messages and they never called me back so I gave up. The doctor had to way DD the other day as I had no idea how much she weighed. I wonder what the deal is with those book things you get for their growth and immunisation etc if you homebirth? Do I have to even bother with the maternal child nurse? I felt like I was being told that I was doing everything wrong, and I saw 5 different nurses that all made me feel like a bad mother.

Hey ladies, nothing much to report from me, i have a doctors appointment on wednesday which i cant wait for as i want to ask my OB why im not feeling very many movements? i havent had a good strong kick on about 4 weeks . I have 14 weeks 2 days till my little boy is here! woohoo... so exciting!

Cassie- Sorry to hear about ur friend having a m/c :( its one of the hardest things to go though, no one can understand the pain till they have experinced it, my thoughts r with ur friend.

It makes it easy when u already have had a bub coz u dont have to buy so much.

Bel- we must all plan a road trip to sydney :D

Catalytic- I also have alot of cleaning and sorting to be done, i want to clean out cupboards, clean walls and windows, do all that indeth cleaning stuff, i want everyone to be prefect for when bubs arrives. Its a good idea not setting anything up till the last few weeks but i cant help myself  i have to set it up and play around with it as soon as i get it.

Meegzz- its called barnyard by Kidsline! there is so much stuff to get! all so cute. I got it all from baby bunting best store eva! Im so gald there is someone who agrees that yes its very pricey but so worth it, my sister thinks im going overboard with all the stuff im getting so im gald someone can see my point of view of this being my first bub and wanting the best of everything and everything be just prefect.

Thats so funny, that u were going to do barnyard and then changed to winnie to pooh, i was going to do winnie the pooh but changed to barnyard  as i thought its more suited to me and plus my niece who is due 3 weeks after me is doing winnie the pooh, you and i must have the same taste.

I am so sorry to hear about ur 2 friends :hugs: i hope u will be ok hun so sad for this to be happening to you. I cant belive ur friend left his little girl behide that breaks my heart to hear.

Marzie- Congrats to ur friend, how exciting having a friend pregnant! my niece is pregnant she is due 3 weeks after me. Its baby season 4 sure! seems like everyone is pregnant!

Corie- Love ur belly pic! ur belly is getting cuter every week.

Morning ladies,

Just a quickie from me, gotta get ready for DD's swimming lessons. Life's been pretty hectic lately, what with all DD's activities and one drama after the other but ..... I thought I'd pop on and post a pic of my belly, 25 weeks today :smiliedance:

http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n32/ems_mum/25wksbaby2.jpg

You have a very impressive list there Kayla, thankfully I don't need to buy much this time around. The only things I really need are an electric breastpump, hire a capsule, huggies nappies, new quilt for the cot, maternity pads, breast pads & maternity bras.

Hi :wave:to everyone else, hope you're all well (and those of us who haven't been feeling well are feeling better), and I hope to be back on later!

PrincessJasmine

Mel i hired the pump from the chemist hospital much better then the ones you can buy...

I second that, the only thing is you have to buy the pump attachment which is around $50. The hire cost was pretty reasonable, I had it for a month and I'm pretty sure it was under $30 (plus $50 deposit). I'm not really sure about the electric ones, don't know how good/bad they are.

I started sorting and moving stuff last night. DD new room is starting to look like a room instead of a junkyard. I have 2 extremely large boxes, 2 plastic boxes, 1 large garbage bad and several small shopping bags full of clothes, booties etc. Poor DD now only has one small draw of clothes that still fit her. And toys, you wouldn't believe how many there are, I'm going to start sorting them out later today.

EmsMum72
12-02-2008, 11:38 AM
Considering the number of Chemist's I've rung charge $100-$150 deposit and then $85 a month for the hire of a breast pump, I'm considering just buying one. I've spoken extensively to a few Chemists and they have assured me that the ones you can buy do a really good job. I can pick up a brand new Medela or Cherub electric breast pump on ebay for $40.00! I don't intend to express much, just for overflow and maybe once or twice a week so DH can do a night feed.

 Hmmm, what to do!!

Kayangel
12-02-2008, 11:57 AM
Regarding breast pump: Once i no if i can breastfeed i will be buying a tomme tippee one, they arent over priced and can u it again for any other bubs, i wont be buying one before hand as i could not be able to breastfeed depends if bubs agrees.

I wouldnt hire one  for a extra 10 or 20 dollors u can own one, but thats just me lots of ladies hire them.

Mel- Thanks for sharing a belly pic, u look wonderful! u have a beauitful belly!

i bought a breast pump, the avent isis one, and it is manual, wish i had the electric one, my hand would get sore using it. i didnt get much milk in so i had to express, ended up just using formula in the end, i didnt express enough to get my milk in.

PrincessJasmine

Damn Mel, $85 a month, that's expensive! I've been looking at the ones on ebay too, I just wasn't sure if the suction would be strong enough.

Kayla its good to have a breast pump on hand, even if you get a cheap one. Your milk doesn't come in for a few days, when mine did I was so full I had no choice but to express and only had the manual pump which was a real pain to use. The main thing is to get through the first week which is often the hardest, don't give up and don't be discouraged if its difficult at first.

EmsMum72

Damn Mel, $85 a month, that's expensive!

That's why I want an electric one, I've heard the manual ones are really hard work on your hands. Perhaps I got your share of milk too, because lordy I got SO much! When my milk finally came in, on about day 4, it was like niagara falls.

I think I made the mistake of using the hospital one to stimulate my milk production. It was so powerful! I think I'll buy an ebay one. I'm hoping I wont have to express as much as what I did with Jasmine, it was just handy for DP to do the night feeds.

You can hire them from the Australian Breastfeeding Association. For members its $15 a week, but that's still expensive. I guess it depends on how long or often you plan on using the pump.

Hi all,
Haven't been around much lately as I've just moved interstate before DP goes away. Get the keys to out new place on Thursday so I'm excited about that & then our house things arrive next Monday. Just can't wait until it's all here and I can start setting myself up again as well as bubs room!
Had my normal monthly checkup at the docs this morning and bubs is measuring at 29 weeks. He was 2-3 weeks bigger that what I actually am last time I was there also, so she said that if he's still the same in 2 weeks (having fortnightly checkups from now on) then she said she might send me to have another scan. Said she doesn't think I want to push out a 10 pounder naturally, so we'll see what happens. I'm having to do it without DP being here, so I think if he's going to be that big I don't want to have me or bubba stressed out trying to give birth. Just see what happens in 2 weeks I suppose. Apart from that, everything with bubba is fine, my diabetes test was fine as well as my blood pressure. She tried to feel where his head was, but said he was moving around all over the place to much this time! lol! No kidding! lol! Sometimes I lay on the bed and just watch my tummy jump around, it's hard to keep from laughing!
Hope everyone else is great and going well, haven't got time to ready all the pages that I've missed over the last couple of weeks today so look after yourselves!

jacquie8653- Dont belive what u get told by doctors/OB's about it being "hard" to push out a 10 pound baby, lots of ladies have given birth to bubs that size! and been fine, its actually easyer to give birth to a bigger baby because they can help the labour progess and bub can push his self down to the birth canal easyer, my mum had a 10 pound bub and has also had a 5 pound 13 bub both full term and she said that the 10 pound bub wasnt any harder then the 5' 13 bub. I would rather give birth to a 10 pound baby anyday then have a c- section but thats just me everyone has different views.

EmsMum72

I would rather give birth to a 10 pound baby anyday then have a c- section but thats just me everyone has different views.

I'm not having a go at you so don't get all defensive, but I'm sure most women would like to give birth naturally (no matter what size) and although some of us try and try (like me, 19 hours in labour ) it just doesn't happen that way. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be! As long as the baby gets out safely, then it shouldn't really matter!

PrincessJasmine
12-02-2008, 04:51 PM
If I had to have another c-section, we wouldn't be having any more children. I don't want to risk ever having to go through that again. I really can't handle even the thought of it. But, as Mel said we don't all have a choice how we give birth.

Kayangel
12-02-2008, 05:31 PM
What i meant was that i would rather have a go at giving birth to a 10 pound baby then not even trying and just saying yes to a c-section when its possible to give birth to a 10 pound baby, what i said wasnt directed at all the others reasons why c-sections are needed because yes i would have a c-section anyday if it meant having a baby or not having a baby there are so many reasons that c-sections are needed and i think there fine and i would have a c- section no worries but not for the reason that doctor thinks a baby is "big."

Dont get me wrong i have nothing at all against c-sections, when i go into labour and if i end up needing one i would say yes without a second thought.

Kayangel

my sisters 1st bub (who is now 13 y/o) was just over 10lb and born vaginally... her 2nd and 3rd kids were over 9lb's (they are now 11 and 9 y/o).... her 4th bub who was born in may 07 was 7lb and she said it was so much easier.

my maddy was 1oz off 9lb (4.060gm's) so she wasnt little but shes not the biggest bub to ever be born vaginally. i could give birth to maddy a million times if i could, i thought i had an awesome labour/birth but maddy being my 1st baby i have nothing to compare her too.

i have a feeling im having a boy this time around and if so i think he will be alot bigger then maddy was at birth so im prepared for a biggun :p

Jacquie, good luck with the upcoming checkups. If it eases your mind at all, my OB suggested that my DS was about 3-4 weeks bigger than dates and he came out 7 days late at 8p4 so the scan may be a good idea. It's hard for them to estimate without it.

I get heaps of movement like that too - but mostly at 2am:sleeping: I'm having insomnia between 2-4am at the moment whilst bubba plays. Is it too early for control crying?

Kayla, you might change that opinion if a 10p baby was on it's way. Everyone handles pain differently and everyone's body handles birth differently, until you understand your own birth thresholds, I think it's hard to assume what would be best. All the research and advice in the world won't compare with real world experience. Only a few weeks to go now!

Mel, I have the Avent manual breast pump which was really quite good. I'd guess an electric may pump faster and it may give you a tiny bit of rest time which will be ideal when bub comes. I just keep seeing the dairy milking machines and don't think I could handle my hubby's 'milking cow' jibes:laughing:

Isaacs Mum: Issac sounds really cute. Don’t worry the nesting thing only lasted a couple of days. I’m back to slobbing around for now, but now obsessed about sorting out finances, budgeting, and thinking of ways to save money.

Meegzz: I have done Winnie the Pooh also. I have got Winnie the Pooh wall stickers, cot blanket, lamp, nappy stacker, laundry hamper, and play gym. I chose it because there is heaps of Winnie the Pooh stuff around and can be for either sex. I chose it before I knew we were having a boy, and wanted something we could use for a second baby later down the track. I got the Toys R Us Winnie the Pooh lamp, but the others from the other Winnie the Pooh theme in the same brand. Just picked the items I liked from both lines.

V8: Sorry to hear about your ankle. Good luck with the glucose drink.

Kayla: You have some good stuff already. I am not planning on getting a capsule, will have the convertible car seat. Not sure yet if I should hire a capsule as well.

Bel1978: I think I would rather be knocked out for a C-section than be awake also. Thanks for the heads up on the 2 for 10 mattress protectors. I got one from target for $7 but need more. I can’t get them this month though. Is it a sale or always that price? Would love your thoughts on my list. Here it is:

Have:
Cot
Change Table & Pad
Cot Mattress
2 Cot blankets (one thicker one, one waffle weave)
Bath – Fisher Price Aquarium Bath
Lamp
Play gym
Sheepskin
Rocking chair
Nappy bag
Bouncer – Fisher Price Aquarium
Microwave steriliser (just a small one that came with the breast pump)
Nappy Wrapper & refills
Couple of bottles (Tommee Tippee closer to nature)
Pregnancy body pillow that will use for breastfeeding also
Mosquito net (have a structured one also protects from cat jumping in cot)
Nappy stacker
Washing hamper
Breastpump (Tommee Tippee manual one)
Maternity pads (have 3 packs, how many will I need???)
Basinette
3 sheet sets
Several bunny rugs/small bankets (keep getting them as gifts)
2 boxes huggies newborn nappies
Wipes
Baby bath wash, baby lotion etc
Washers
Digital thermometer
6 muslin wraps
Blind & curtains for nursery
Baby carrier (like a baby born but generic brand)
2 Dummies
Portable baby bed (like a basket but made of cloth, got on sale for $30)

Need:
Stroller – United Colour of Bennetton (my dad is buying it for me as a gift)
Convertible car seat (my dad is giving me one second hand – I have a 4 year old sister it was hers)
Monitor (we have a split level place so need it if we are downstairs, I am thinking of the Tomee Tippee one that monitors movement/breathing as well, also displays room temperature
High chair (think will wait until after bubs is born)
Bottle brush
Cloth nappies
Mobile (for above change table, heard that above cot can disturb sleep)
Breast pads
Sleeping bags
Basinette sheets
Matress Protector (have one but need one more?)

Baby manicure kit and hairbrush/comb
First aid kit

Sunshade for car windows
Clock for nursery
CD player / speakers for mp3 player in nursery

Wants:
Draws (I have cane ones already that I can use but not matching with cot & change table that are white)
Porta cot (my mum wants to get this as a gift)
Nightlight (not sure if need this and a lamp)
Water thermometer (what are everyones thoughts on these, my mum said not needed as just use your elbow)

Just my thoughts in answer to your questions

:)Maternity pads (have 3 packs, how many will I need???)

I only used maternity pads for the first 2-3 days then moved straight to more slimline maxi-pads as I found them much more discrete and comfortable. It will depend on your body's flow so keep the 3 packs and see how you go with them.

Mobile (for above change table, heard that above cot can disturb sleep)

My DS loved one above his cot and often helped him drift off to sleep - it really is baby dependent though - you can always get another one later or trial the change table one over the cot for a while.

Breast pads

This is really up to you and how your body reacts to your milk coming in. I had lots of milk and continual leaking so had to wear breast pads for 6 months. Girlfriends of mine never used them at all.

Towels (checklists in books seem to recommend separate towels for the baby, is this needed?)

Not at all. Only do it if you want to match your towels to your nursery etc. A small bath towel is fine.

Nightlight (not sure if need this and a lamp)

Nope, never used one - I used to feed DS in the dark in the middle of the night as any type of light would make him way too alert and difficult to put back to bed.

Water thermometer (what are everyones thoughts on these, my mum said not needed as just use your elbow)
My Mum always suggested the elbow as well but honestly, feel your elbow skin. It is generally thick and has minimal nerve sensings. Use your hand and the inside of your wrist to test water - I only ever used lukewarm at best. You don't need a thermometer.

Best of luck with everything! I have the baby capsule booked and a lot of things from when my son was a baby but apart from that, I still have a little bit of shopping to do. For those who are having their second, are you feeling that you are leaving a lot more to the last minute? I know we'll be fine even with nothing else. I think one thing I learnt from having my son is that I bought a lot of stuff that I never used and ended up giving away - this time, I seem to be a lot more casual about it or something

LOL glad to know I'm not the only one!

That's a big list too! I'd get a few baby towels, they're softer on baby's sensitive skin. Or just use heaps of fabric softener when you wash your normal towels. Don't forget some baby fash washers too. There's one thing missing from the list though (unless you just plan on boiling), a steriliser for any bottles or a breast pump, or Miltons solution (which I hate as it left the bottles with this chemical smell). I'm getting an electric steamer off ebay.

Here's my list of things I have so far:

Rocker
Pram (on layby)
Pram bassinette (on layby)
Nappy bag (on layby)
Change table (on layby)
Bassinette (on layby)
1 new jump suit
2 new outfits
1 baby bottle

From DD I have:
Cot and cot matress
2 Bassinette sheets
2 sets of cot sheets
2 boxes of clothes and blankets
A useless baby carrier
Musical play mat with Mobile
Manual breast pump
Towels and wraps

Things I need to buy:
High chair
Nappy rash cream
Shampoo and body wash for baby
face washers
water proof protectors (for bassinette and change table)
Fluffy change table cover
6 new jumpsuits sizes 0000-000
Bassinette and cot sheets
Newborn nappies
Nappy bucket or bin
3 chests of drawers
Baby sling
Electric steamer
Electric breast pump
Baby bottles and nipples
Nipple sheilds
Breast pads
Maternity pads
Granny knickers

****! I really didn't think I needed to buy that much. LOL thats the first proper list I'v done, I'll have to refer back to this. I'm not bothering with things like monitors etc, as I plan to be in the same room as bubs for the first 6-8 months.

Everytime I read someone elses list I see something I've totally forgotten about.

Must add singlets to the list. I only use them in the winter months.

Just thought I would jump straight in and say hiya. But first things first, I like to apologise to Isaac's Mummy! So sorry! I obviously didn't realise that there would be another Isaac's Mum on the same due in group. I hope you forgive me!

I'm a bit late joining this group so thought I would fill you all in! I've already posted on the other thread introducing myself but thought I'd give a bit more detail here.

I'm Paula and I'm 32, turning 33 around the time bub is due! This is pregnancy number 5 for me. I've had a quick read of the last few posts and I have to say that I think having a bigger baby is easier than a smaller baby. Mine were 7lb 2oz, 7lb 9oz, 1lb 6oz and 8lb 14oz in that order. The 8 pounder was by far the quickest and the easiest!

For this pregnancy I've been classed as high risk, was high risk last time but for different reasons. One of the reasons this time is that I've been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid. This pregnancy has been very eventful for me and I've decided it's the last bub I'll be having  I'm also waiting on the results of my GTT. I had GD in my last pregnancy but I think I'll be fine this time.

Anyway, I won't bore you with my ailments anymore:D and I'd better move because Jelly Bean is happily dancing on my bladder!

Hope you're all well.

 Paula and welcome!! What a coincidence indeed!! It's going to get mighty confusing in here!! 'Tis okay - Bec and Paula are much quicker to type than Isaac's Mummy and Isaacsmammy

 to everyone else. It's been a bit slower in here lately, which is good for me because it makes it a bit easier to catch up with everything!!

Mel - I agree with RM in regards to the breastpumps - I just have a manual one and I've had no problems with it. I went back to work full time when Is was six months old and I got the trusty manual pump out three times a day at work and pumped enough milk for him for the next days' feeds. I'm sure the electric ones you can buy will be fine for your purpose, and seeing as it's almost the same cost as hiring one, you're better off paying that for something you can keep I reckon.

RM - I'm way more unorganised this time around too!! But I think that's just because I have all of the big things sorted from Isaac, and it's just really a matter of buying some girly clothes if we have a girl. There are still a couple of bits and pieces I need to get, but I'm not stressing myself out over them. I'm just trying to enjoy this time with Isaac, before the craziness starts!! You have reminded me though that I need to book a capsule. Really, really need to do that!!

Miranda - I'm glad the nesting bug has gone into hiding for the time being - you were making me feel extremely lazy!! I actually rearranged Isaac's bedroom the other day and rearranged the study too. Just need to get into the study and shred and file all of our personal stuff and then it'll be beautiful!! In relation to your list - RM made some good points, so I'll agree with her! I have the Tommee Tippee monitor that you're talking about getting. I loved it. It gave me great peace of mind. Of course, Isaac then started sleeping in our room and I stopped using it, but we'll be using it for this baby. I also had seperate towels for Isaac - but mainly because towels seem to be a popular present to give to newborns!! I must admit though, they came in very handy, and still do. He regularly wees on them after we've dried him, so it's nice having a selection of 8 or so towels that are his, means I don't have to wash quite as often

Vee - you're right - there's nothing like the in-laws coming to visit that gets your butt into action in relation to the cleaning!! Spring cleaning tomorrow after we've gone to playgroup and made a chocolate cake for DH for valentine's day. Hope that you're having a nice time with the in-laws visiting and that you're managing to get a bit of a break.

I should probably go and start getting dinner organised before DH gets home. We're having smokey bbq pumpkin pizza tonight. Yummo. I'll probably make an aussie pizza too.....mmmmmm.....pizza!! No wonder I'm getting big! Have a great night girls. Hi to everyone else I've neglected to mention, hope you're all well.

Why would i get defensive? u are free to express ur views tho u did take it the wrong way.

Ok cool!

For those who are having their second, are you feeling that you are leaving a lot more to the last minute?

Absolutely  I'm so relaxed about everything this time around because basically I know I already have all the essentials. A cot & bedding, 2 HUGE boobs :D, some clothes, will buy nappies very soon, a bath etc. It's actually nice to be feeling quite relaxed about it all, however I'll probably start stressing in about 10 weeks, LOL! BTW, congrats on your BH award. You should have been nominated for heaps more, but I didn't get my a$$ into gear and get my noms in on time .

Hi, and welcome Paula! I'm another high-risker, this is my 3rd pregnancy (I have a 4yr old, and miscarried earlier in the year). I have GD, had it with my daughter too, and am booked in to have a c-section on 22/05/08. I think this will be our last child, as I'm a bit of a nanna (35)! Looking forward to chatting to you more.

IM, your pizza's sound delish, and good on you for making hubby a cake. My hubby doesn't think much of Valentines day, he says that he doesn't need 1 particular day to show me how much he loves me because he tells me every day .

I've decided to buy that electric breast pump I was talking about, and will do that in the next few days.

Had a great morning doing kinder duty at my daughter's kinder this morning, we had a ball. The kids are great, she seems really happy there, and the teachers are lovely.

 to Vee, cassie, Bel, Meegzz, amanda, catalytic, pixie, miranda, MM, marzie, hbp, jacquie (hope I haven't missed anyone).

You have reminded me though that I need to book a capsule. Really, really need to do that!! I only did mine on Monday and they were only taking bookings up until the end of April so far so I've booked in for that last week. We got them for both cars again. It's amazing how organised I feel now. I think now though that I realise that baby doesn't need all of the things we buy, just the boobies as EmsMum said, somewhere to sleep and some clothes. It really can get very commercial.

It's actually nice to be feeling quite relaxed about it all, however I'll probably start stressing in about 10 weeks, LOL! BTW, congrats on your BH award. You should have been nominated for heaps more, but I didn't get my a$$ into gear and get my noms in on time
Hey me too - I just realised that I only have 12 weeks before bubs gets here. Would be nice if we could secure a BUILDER to build Ry's room in so we can get the nursery going.:hair:

Thanks for the congrats. I didn't actually realise until yesterday - not sure how I feel about that one.:o I haven't actually had nappies in the house for over a year and haven't therefore had the energy to stir any cloth users (not that I have anything against using cloth - there just used to be some very passionate people on cloth and it was fun to banter about the wonder of environmentally unfriendly nappies:laughing:)

Welcome Paula! I have an underactive thyroid so have a bit of an understanding what you have gone through there:thumbsdown:

Well, I've been doing well, bubs is extremely active still. I have to book the GD test in the next week (note to self...) and unfortunately my pelvis has become really painful the last couple of days so I'm off to a physio on Friday. It locked up this morning (ouchie). Hubby has been interstate all week but arrived home today which is nice. No plans for tomorrow - I have lunch with some clients so hubby generously suggested that maybe THEY should buy me a gift:laughing: We'll have a special dinner together which will be really nice.

Off to bath DS now - dinner is in the slow cooker - smells yummy....

Cassie I don't know what I having. I didn't find out with any of my others and kind of thought it'd be odd to know what I'm having:D I've found that quite a lot here, people are more likely to find out what sex the baby is. All of my kids were born in Scotland and it's not as big a thing there to find out what you're having.

Bec You're right, Bec and Paula is much easier to type than Isaac's Mummy and isaacsmammy:laughing:

Bel and EmsMum Most of the time I don't really think about the fact that I'm high risk but as the time draws nearer I think I'm getting more worried. I had quite a bad PPH when Isaac was born and that's the third time out of four kids that I've ended up in surgery after having a baby. Taking that into account plus the fact that I had an MRI scan at just over 16 weeks and then surgery for a prolapsed disc at 17 weeks, I just feel like I'm possibly pushing it a bit. Even my ob is of the opinion that this is probably enough, he's even gone as far as to offer to tie my tubes once I've had the baby and I honestly think I might take him up on the offer!:D

 all. Been around, but been tired and busy and just havn't had a lot to contribute lately...have been reading up on everyone else though! Had my GD test on Monday and have obs appointment tomorrow morning, so hoping that I pass....certainly don't want to have to actually THINk about what I put into my mouth

Bel1978: I think I would rather be knocked out for a C-section than be awake also. ]
Porta cot (my mum wants to get this as a gift)

Point 2 first - accept the portacot - we love ours (hand me down) as it makes it so easy to still have a 'life' in that you can take it to friends etc and know that bub is safe when asleep. My mum used to put the one she had up outside when DD was little so that she could come out with us, but be contained from the dogs and the dirt

Point 1 - I think that this would make a really interesting research idea....I actually also thought the same thing (am desperately scared of the whole C -sect idea and that was DH's one instruction last time..avoid if at all possible!!)
A great friend of mine had an emergency c-sect first bub and then a planned (and knocked out) 2nd... She's really bitter about the whole experience, because she's someone who really wanted to do the 'whole' thing and she didn't feel that she did - and has only 3 years down the track found herself able to talk about it. We had them over on the weekend and N said that she would have experienced the 39 hr labour with DS stuck on her tailbone (he actually crowned then disappeared) before being whisked into emergency, rather than the absolute 'nothingness' of her experience with DS2 - she didn't feel remotely attached to the process and it was just like her son appeared from nowhere...she also hated the fact that others got to see her bub before she did as it took a while for her to come to.....all stuff I never even would have considered!!

Hi Everyone

Hi Paula, welcome! :yelclap:

We didn't find out the sex of our bub either, big surprise! YAY! Either way we will be happy! It's funny i was having a weird thought the other day, and i imagined if there was another kind of sex... so there could be a choice of male/female and something else.. maybe something kind of androgynous and elven looking! Yeah weird preggy thought i guess.

Wow you all put me to shame, i don't even have a list!! So far i just have some clothes (which have been pressies from peeps) and some towels and that's it!! YIKKKES!!

How many newborn nappy packs would you suggest? I know they grow out of them fast, but not sure how fast is fast?!

Lately i have been pretty busy with my DP's birthday and sister visiting and general running around and work ****! By sunday evening i was soo exhausted and have been ever since!
OOH and lucky me, i put on this nice grey dress to wear on monday for work, checked myself in the mirror before leaving and noticed a nice perfect wet patch circle where my nipple is!!
Colostrum is on it's way! I was excited about it before, but not it's here, i kinda wish it wasn't! haha

Paula- Welcome to the May babies thread! congrats on ur 5th bubba, how many boys/girls do you have?? I love ur username :D probley because i adore the name Isaac. Here is abit about me: Im Kayla 18, 26 weeks pregnant due May 22nd, im having a little bubba boy named Jaylen Isaac, Isaac after my grandad! Im no longer with bubs dad but have the support of all my family, they are amazing.

meegzz- You have got so many stuff wow, a great list! hehe tho like mine looks never ending but we will both get there. I have a avent Bottle steraliser which was given to me but im not acutally buying a really good one till i no weather i can breastfeed or will have to bottle feed, same goes with a breast pump not buying one till i no if i can breast feed.

When are u planning on starting bubs nursery?? im hoping to start Jaylens at 30 weeks.

Hey All

Just popping in to say hi! :D Things here are all good. Apart from the inlaws, they are pretty annoying, FIL is a rascist pig and MIL is at least moderately tolerable at times, but yeah, looking forward to having them leave and be in our own space again. The food they cook is gross, i am happy for not having to cook, but man i could go some normal food not eating Philipino food all time time, yuk! DS has been acting up a bit today which drives me a bit bonkers but then FIL has to comment about just stupid things, and like he did a great job at parenting! Anywho, i think they are here for another week! :hissy:

Otherwise, things preg wise are ok, need to get my BP tested when the Inlaws leave and the GD test. My twin sister has spent the last 3 days in and out of hospital in severe pain and they don't know what's wrong with her, they are worried there's something wrong with me and she is having sympathy pains. But there isn't anything wrong with me, so i am a bit worried about her the poor thing. So yeah, waiting to see if they can actually find out what the pain is being caused by.

Anywho, nothing more to say really, good to see others lists and that you're all organised, i am only stressing about having a birth pool, if i have that, i'll be fine, everything else can be sorted later! :D So yeah, not too worried about stuff for Cameron at this stage, but checking out the BIG W catalogue today there are some lovely things in their maternity and baby gear sections at the moment, so would love to put on a laybuy but can't really pop to the shops with the inlaws here, they are a royal pain. Oops, sorry for whinging about them, but i'm sure others can relate.

Chat to you again soon, wishing everyone well. :)

I'm 28 weeks on Sat, yay 3rd trimester! :smiliedance:

Hey Vee,
yeah i'm hearing you on the inlaws stuff... Mine are miles away, but lately i've been cringing everytime they call up!

It's funny i used to really liike them, but since xmas night they had a big fight infront of my DP, his brother and girlfriend and me, i've been totally turned off them since! I can't stand fighting and arguing and i thought that was just plain rude! But that's another vent!

Well i hope the week goes fast for you while they are here!! That's interesting about your twin sis. I hope she's okay, have you had things like that happen before? Like when you were pr
