Hi girls!!!
I have been soooo busy lately - never have time to visit the forums :(
Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekends - mine has been busy but good. We went to the BDO on Friday which was awesome, and a friends engagement party last night that was also good.
It is day 34 for me, my nipples were sore on thu, fri, sat, and are slightly sore today - I hope this ties into when I ovulated - since last cycle I had a similar thing happen. I've decied that I'm not going to test this week, as I have a feeling that I only just ovulated.
So Nomsie can you put me down for testing on the 18th? Thanks :)

hi girls,
just caught up on the thread, have not been around last few days. so hi all:wave:
sooooooooooooo tired this morning, worked till midnight last night then dh was coughing and carrying on all night. could have killed him but i need him for his contribution to baby making:laughing:
was very hard to get the energy up to BD last night when i got home, but we managed to! temp not up this morning and on cycle day 21 , so hoping tomorrow it will go up making today the day i o. i did an opk and got a really dark line, way darker than the control so all on target for o today. have bd the last 4 nights so:fingerscrossed:. dont think we will get to bd tonight though as i am working again late and we are both tired. SOOOOO FRUSTRATING. BD seems like so much pressure around o time.
Thanks Heaven Sent I am pretty happy and excited about it :D
May you both catch your eggies :):yelclap:
Oh and day 35 for me...... man I am getting impatient :hissy:
zakster- congrats on getting in!!!
hopefully it will keep your mind of ttc!!! ( if thats at all possible)
when do you start?

Morning ladies - i am so excited!! AF is being so kind to me, i have tears of joy.
I know that sounds weird but since i first started getting AF (apart from when i was on the pill) I have been bed ridden for at least 1 or 2 days of each cycle with severe pain, heavy bleeding, vomiting, and severe mood swings including depression and near suicidal thoughts, etc.
Since starting acupuncture/herbs they have been getting better and better, until this cycle when i had absolutely no nausea, PMS, depression, pain, headaches leading up to AF and then just some cramping the day AF started. I am now on the second day which is traditionally my worst, usually i can't go to work , I just lie in pain in the bath and guess what - i'm here at work and havent even needed panadol! Just a couple of mild cramps here and there.
I am so relieved i could cry! :flowerz::smiliedance:
I must be getting closer to that BFP!
Thanks Mila :) - I get a pack sent out some time this week with the enrolment details so I should find out more soon. It will be good to have something to keep me busy at nights :)
kittykatz - that is excellent news, I have no idea about painful AFs the worse thing I get is a pimple - I'm so glad it is getting better for you :D

Hi Heaven Sent!!!!
My pregnancy has been a rolercoaster for my poor stomach i was vomiting every day at least twice if not 3 times, i have stopped the vomitting and just dry reach now, still not pleasant. PLEASE dont get me wrong i absolutely love the fact that i am preg again but the m/s is giving me grief.
I have already started to pop out!!! I am 9.3 wks and look like i'm 5-6 mnths.
First OB appointment in 3 weeks first time i get to see my bubba, so excited!!!!
Anyway if anyone feels uncomfortable me talking about this in here let me know, i wont be offended.
Anyways bye for now

Hi Starmummy
Great to hear the progress of your pregnancy! We are all so happy for those with BFPs and love to hear your stories!
My acupuncturist was just telling me how the World Health Organisation has recognised acupuncture as one of the only proven forms of reducing morning sickness symptoms, so that might be worth a shot?

kk - good to hear about your af easing up for you! and thats interesting about the who - i had terrible ms with ds so that might be a go next time around.
ok, so ff has changed again saying i have not yet o'd, but i am on cd22 and my temp dropped this morning so will be interesting to see what happens.
kittykatz,
thats is absolutley great news:smiliedance:. so happy for you. i know what its like to have those horrible af's. i used to suufer badly from them too. i used to feel like i was being ripped in two. not nice is it! and i got the vomiting to, must have been from the pain.
you must be just so thrilled, i will definatley make life much easier for you and i agree, i think you BFP must be around the corner!
well i hope you have a good day and af keeps up her good work and is kind to you.

Thankyou zakster!! :) Got my fingers crossed for you too! :fingerscrossed: Are you still testing on the 7th?
Nope - I'm now testing on the 18th if AF doesn't turn up before then. That would be cycle day 49 :|
I have a feeling that I O'd around the weekend - so there would be no point in testing on Thursday. Also since my last cycle was 48 days I figure I should hold out for a while to avoid disappointment. So 13 days til testing :) (if I get that far).
Hi girls, am still working, so quick post-
Yay on the new calendar/thread thingo
Have updating all the requests
Nothing new with me :)
Sorry it's so short!
Will hopefully be back and chatting fully when I don't have so much work to do! :) Don't miss me too much!

Does anyone else have a DH that never seems to be interested in BDing. I always have to instigate it. Everyone that knows we are TTCing, say how lucky DH is to have so much sex - yet it is me that has to start everything . It is kind of frustrating.

angelbaby- hope you get your bfp hun!! Good luck!
think i might go crash, so tired, bayli has been a terror today and has really exhausted me!! Im looking at putting him into childcare for a day a week, just to give us a break from each other! baylismum - well I hope whenever you test you get a bfp :). Why isn't my hubby a horn bag?!?!? Have a nice relaxing night :)

Anyhoo im off to  nite!

KittyKatz thanks for the info on accupunture re ms will actually look into that.
Thanks Heaven Sent if i give at least one person hope then it was worth it. Hoping m/s eases soon too.
Mel thought i would let you know i was certain AF was coming because i had funny cramps and pains...........
I can smell bfp's just round the corner!!!
Well yesterday was CD14 and I had EWCCM again so had to jump on DH. He is another that isn't so keen while TTC but complains constantly otherwise that I am not interested enough! What's weird is that I had EWCCM on CD12 as well but didn't notice any on CD13. Ahh well, have given it my best shot anyway for this month!
Hope everyone's having a great morning, DS1 went to pre-school again this morning no probs (after declaring all morning that he wouldn't go because he might cry) DS2 is sleeping and I feel FREE!
Baylismum, I don't know what it's like in your state but if you want your DS to go to pre-school they usually put them on waiting lists from age 2 to start at age 3. Pre-school runs 9-3 (1 or 2 days) in NSW, you supply lunch and it's approx half the price of daycare. Just a thought! I didn't know about the waiting lists and almost missed out as I procrastinated till DS1 was almost 3.

I do want him to go to preschool, so i should probably get my butt into gear and have a look at what is around. I wouldnt know where to start! lol
Starmummy- thanks for that..did you have a weird pain that was like a stitch? It comes and goes..meh! This whole ttc thing just makes me crazy! I cant stand this tww!!
Im 10dpo today, least i wont have to wait much longer if af decides to show.
Hope everyone is having a good day, talk soon
Sam - that is really funny DH is exactly the same, while TTCing he doesn't seem that interested in sex - but then he says that he doesn't want to go without while I am pregnant :| - can't have the best of both worlds I'm afraid.
Day 36 for me today, I just want this cycle to end already :(
baylismum - only just saw your post about the Tafe notes - I would definitely be interested. What have you got?

Hi Ladies
Haven't gone completley yet I thought I would drop in and see if there was any BFP. Sounds like there might be a couple coming up.
I did my second test last night and I'm still getting the 2 pink lines even stronger now conisdering it's been 6 days since af was due. I would never have tested if it hadn't been for a light spotting before af was due. No symptoms yet but I'm just waiting on teh ms (I know it's comming because I've had it with the other 3 babies) I'm booked in for next friday with the doctor to confirm it with a blood test. I hope you are all doing well, I will keep popping in from time to time to chec k on the bfp. Hope you all have a lovley day.

You should test on Thursday Mel :) - fingers crossed!

ooooh they really need a scared sh!tless smilie!! Im already nervous!! I think ill see what my temps do over the next couple of days and then decide to test or not! I hate testing and seeing a bfn-id rather wait til af shows. BFN's are just so 'in your face' disappointing.
my god this tww is sending me completely bonkers, and i think my cervix is sore from all the poking (wow that didnt sound right )
I wish someone would make a preg test that u can use straight away from like 2 dpo!!!!

Mel that was the cycle where i basically gave up and had decided that i didnt get pregnant so drank over xmas etc. first week of my tww.......i was sick of bfn and was waiting till she turned up but i miscalculated when she was due so i got my bfp 12dpo......i thought i was 14 hahaha, but that said i am known to produce hcg pretty slowly hence the wondering of if its twins.......
You totally deserve this after so long, trust me wen it does happen you wont know what to do and wont believe it- i didnt!!!!
ETA your chart is looking great fx for you
So when do you think you'll be testing Mel?

Hi there,
I just want to join this thread. My df and I have been ttc for 3years. As you can see, we got a :bfp: in September 07 but bad news a week later.
Hope I can join.
Good luck to those who are testing this month
:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Welcome wannabemum1985. I am so sorry for your news, after all that time TTC then miscarrying i can imagine it would have been devestating.:hugs::no:.
Well, we have had a :bfp: explosion here recently, so hopefully some of the good luck will rub off onto you!
Welcome wannabemum1985 - so sorry for your loss :hugs: - wishing you all the luck in the world for a BFP!
What stage of the cycle are you at?
kittykatz
05-02-2008, 15:17
Good luck baylismum. I am the same with negative HPT's. I would rather just deal with the suspense and wait for AF to arrive. BFN's HURT! Try to hold out till 14DPO or the day AF is due. But if you can't, well who am i to tell you off! :shame:

Ive just gotten AF so I probably join the next month thread.
I am still coming to terms with it all. It doesnt help trying to plan my wedding and TTC at the same time.
:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: for next month
Hi girls, have a welcome night tonight, so I am hanging out in the c'room getting everything ready. I feel really guilty that I haven't been lurking on the hub as much as I should, but I am just so snowed under at the moment!
Comiserations to MummyAmanda and Mummynow, :hugs:
And welcome to SundaysChild and Wannabeamum1985  I will put you down 1985 (sorry, short on time lol), but you have to tell me a date! :D I'm sure you will have a short stay in the TTC threads, and I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
Well, I feel as though I have AF like symptoms AGAIN, even though she's only been gone a little while. Yesterday I had achey knees (a sure sign  ) and today and yesterday a few twangs in the lower abs. Can't be pg, I haven't O'd. My cycle is normally predictable, don't stuff up on me NOW! :crying: Oh and creamy CM today.... :detective:
Ok, gotta keep rollin, making a powerpoint pres to show the mummas and the pappas... will hopefully be on here for a while longer tho!
(I know it doesn't flow and make sense, and it lacks my usual wit, but I am under the pump here!)
Nomsie - your last AF couldn't of been implantation bleeding could it? Your body seems to be doing weird stuff at the moment.
wannabemum1985 - i'll probably be joining you in the march thread :)
kittykatz
05-02-2008, 16:19
Wow, noms that would be great if it was implantation bleeding! Maybe you are gearing up to O early this cycle?
My cycle has been really strange too. The first day was flawless, yesterday morning i was bragging about how painless it was, then about midday i had to go home because i got really :barf:. That lasted for maybe 2 hours then i was fine. Then i woke up at 4am with a pain i had NEVER felt before and lost a whole heap (sorry TMI) of fresh red blood and huge clots. Now today i have no pain whatsoever, in fact i keep forgetting i even have AF?
kittykatz - you poor thing AF is not treating you nicely at all :hugs:
♥Heaven Sent♥
05-02-2008, 16:55
Baylismum i o'd last cycle on cd 15-16 not sure which one as they were both + OPK.
I haven't o'd yet im sure of that as ive had no symptoms, but im sure it is coming today or tomorrow.
Yeah, maybe I am just gearing up to O.,. would be great if it was implantation, but what are the odds that it happens EXACTLY on the day AF is due? I have stars, Zakster, but I don't they are THAT lucky!
KK, is this cycle an improvement on what they used to be? Maybe it's like climbing a mountain- you won't get to the top in one footstep, but keep going and you WILL get there eventually- iykwim- couldn't think of a better similie, sorry!
kittykatz
05-02-2008, 17:03
Nomsie - most definately a HUGE improvement (thought it might not sound like it). I've gone from 2 weeks of feeling c#ap from O to AF, to 7 days of feeling c%ap and 2 of those bed-ridden to just a few painful cramps here and there and a couple of hours of bad pain.
It definately shows acupuncture/herbs are helping, just taking a while. But i have had aweful AF since i was 13 so waiting a few months for it to improve is definately worth it.
Yeah, as Rachel Hunter says "It wont happen overnight, but it will happen" lmao...
Well, the aching is returning to my knees as I type. Meh, I have enough going on right now, I really can't be bothered putting up with achey knees too! *sigh* Oh well! March is next month, woohoo! I just put in the code for a bfp smilie, but I don't want to jinx it lol, so I promptly deleted it!
Poo my feet smell!
So you are just going to wait it out Nomsie?
Yeah thats the plan- unless anything drastic happens in the next 20 days (gosh, is it THAT long?!)
Not much else I am willing to do really. Testing is out of the question- I refuse to test ever again unless I am late... spent too much money and emotion on those little sticks already!
Katieflutterby
05-02-2008, 18:06
Wow Nomsie you are very controlled not to test, I wish i was that good, I am a POAS addict! But from what you said, implantation bleed sounds like a possibility, so you could be pleasantly surprised if you did test!
Well, I am 9dpo, and all day today I have had some sharp stabbing pains in my lower left abdomen. I actually had a bit yesterday too, so fingers crossed thats a good sign, but i guess it could just be ovary pains or something?
My temp is still up, but its hard to tell cos I keep waking up early, and sometimes having restless nights, so im not sure how accurate my temping is. Ive been known to roll over at 2am and temp just so i have something to compare the 6.30am temp to. My god I am way too obsessed!
I bought some early pregnancy tests today (not the brand i had trouble with last time) and am tempted to test tomorrow morning, but ill see how i go in the morning. It will only be 10dpo, its pretty early.
How are the rest of you lovely gals tonight?
Kittykatz I hope AF is treating you nicer now, Im sorry to hear you suffer so much!

just got back from the docs and how bloody ironic but freakin AF has arrived...fresh red yukkies....

Thanks Katie. I wish they could find a reason for it. That is why i had 2 laparoscopies looking for severe endometriosis. They couldn't believe they found NOTHING wrong, everything was perfect. My GP/gyno are hoping a pregnancy will help, the problem is I can't be given any hormone treatment to make AF less severe because it will stop me falling PG. So each AF is a double whammy for me!
But they really are getting better! I've had to go to emergency in the past because i've passed out from the pain .
Not anymore! :D
:hugs: angelbaby. I'm sure you'll get your BFP soon.

The same thing happened to me in Oct.. I guess I was just "wishing" it away.. as soon as I got home from the docs, Af appeared..
Anyway, it's early FEB- you don't have to leave the thread just because AF has arrived! You can still hang out in here for a few more weeks!
Oh, and sorry, this should have been the first paragraph, but sorry you got af :hugs:

angelbaby im sorry AF arrived :( Fingers crossed March is your month!
KK, wow it sounds like you suffered so much you poor thing! At least it is getting better! I have been pretty lucky, I dont get very bad cramps. But I did get a taste of it after I had my D & C. I was fine when i left the hospital, but when i got home I had the most HORRENDOUS cramps it was unbeleivable, I felt like what I imagine giving birth would be like. My Ob said it can sometimes happen when the uterus is contracting back to size after the D & C, but omigod it was painful. During that time, in my delerious state, I had decided I was not having children anymore, and I was going to have to sell all of my baby stuff, and was crying cos I couldnt beleive I was telling myself that! Obviously I didnt mean one word of it. I was still feeling the anasthetic. But after experiencing severe cramps, I have a new appreciation for women who suffer like that every single month. :hugs:
lol, yeah, I feel a little guilt now, just had a twinge in what I imagine to be my left ovary, and it really hurt (not the least because I wasn't expecting it) and I was feeling sorry for myself! I guess it's nothing compared to what women have to go through month in and month out!
Katieflutterby
05-02-2008, 20:40
Nomsie I get pains in my ovary area too, and they can sometimes be so painful to the point where i stop walking and shreik out loud. Then i have to come up with some excuse in the work corridors as to why I did that!
But yes, I do feel for the gals who suffer with bad cramps.
lol, perhaps you could tell them that you are so excited to be at work that you just had to hout your joy out loud!
I get pains in my ovaries too, normally AFTER I O though, not before!
Katieflutterby
05-02-2008, 20:47
lol I will try that next time!
And if your pains arent what you usually get, all the more reason to test!! (No pressure)
Im getting some pretty prominent pains in my left side (the side I Od from) and Im 9dpo. But i cant tell if its just ovary pain or if its something else. Its just a bit weird.
Hmmm :detective: Veery interestink! I normally O from my right (dominantly anyway) but this is on my left. Nope, I stick to my resolve no testing!
DP just called.. I got home from work at 7:30, he wasn't home. I have been sitting her mildly fuming that he was out visiting a mate.. aww, he drove 45 minutes to go see his parents. How sweet! He is just on the way home now! And he thought he should call to let me know he is ok! :bee: Awww... This makes up for the times that he doesn't come home after work and doesn't call or answer his phone for hours! (Although he is still far behind!)

Hi ladies
THe pain after ovulation can be caused from the ovaries shedding the cyst that is formed during the ovulation process. It is a very strong gripping pain that can take your breathe away, but doesn't last long.
Yep, i've certainly drawn the short straw in the pain stakes - in 4 years i've had appendicitis, a 115mm kidney stone (requiring 3 operations and a stent - don't ask) and 2 diagnostic laparoscopies. I think that totals 6 operations. Add to that the excrutiating pain every month and you can understand why having a pain free day of AF turns me into an overjoyed lunatic!! I was also very close to getting a hysterectomy about 8 months ago, but i decided to put up with the monthly pain for the sake of having a family.
My husband really is superman. He has had to take me to hospital and wait for hours in emergency so many times it is not funny. He puts up with my depression and craziness. Plus he is the one who runs the bath for me when i am crying in pain each month. I don't give him the credit he deserves.
This one is dedicated to KK and her man, Tiger! (raowwwww!)
It must be love, love, love.. nothing more, nothing less, love is the best! :bee:
Ok so what about O pain feelings before actual O?!??! :detective:

omg kittykatz :hugs: you have been through so much! no wonder you are such an amazing woman!!
katieflutterby- what early preg tests did you get? ive been checking out a poas website  i actually was suprised to see a lady testing with breastmilk instead of pee! buggers me how that works, but ill stick to pee LOL. I know what u mean about the full on ovulation pains, i got one so bad in the grocery store i almost doubled over the trolley! it was bad!
im 10dpo today and omg am i hungry or what..prolly since about 2 days ago ive been waking up starving, ill eat and be hungry half an hour later..this only happened when i was preg with ds. Still got the weird pains that come and go, and TMI HERE: cervix is rock hard and closed. i dont have any cm either..well its wet but nothing is "apparent"
ykwim lol.
i hope im not overanalysing AGAIN, i know im gonna get my hopes up..grr i hate this ttc stuff!!! mind games mind games

05-02-2008, 21:09
Hmmmm, well for me i get O twinges for a few hours then a bit of a stab when the egg is released. Is that what you mean?
I guess the egg matures, the cyst forms then the mature egg pushes and pushes until it bursts out. I imagine that could be painful?
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... I am only CD 9!?!??!?!
:crying: I can't O already?!??!
kittykatz
05-02-2008, 21:12
Go baylismum Go! Do you usually check your cervix? Mine gets quite hard just before AF, but if that is different for you then it is definataley a sign.
Hey, i've been through a lot, but doing counselling for lifeline and you realise how easy we have it. I have so much admiration for people who suffer mental illnesses or chronic pain there whole life. Imagine waking up every morning and voices telling you you are worthless, ugly, fat a waste of space and having to live every day like that :(
Oh and Mel, sounds good to me... although some cycles I am uber hungry, other cycles I couldn't possibly eat.... but you know your body best!

Hi Ladies
Hope everyone is well and working on some :bfp:.
kittykatz - never used to really notice these pains till I had DD but definately do now. Funny how everything changes once you have a bub. Went to the Dr tonight 'cos I'm sick of migraines lately and was a blubblering mess - don't even know why I cried, I'm such a big baby since having a bub :(
DH has just given me the good news  that he will be away an extra night next week in NZ on business (right when I should be O'ing :hair:)
His suggestion - we can bd on the morning he gets back (yeah right and whose going to look after DD while this is happening??) Men.......
Anyway, lots of :babydust2: to us all!

Gees Noms, i'm not a Dr!!
Let me get this straight...
You had AF (lighter than usual)
Now you are about CD9 and having pains?
Ok, well - you could be PG
You might be ovulating early
You might have an infection or an ovarian cyst
You might be making it up to get sympathy
You might have appendicitis
For petes sake a PG test so we can rule that one out to start with.
.... well at least we know I don't have appendicits.... I don't have any appendix.
Nah, I'm firm on the resolve I'm not testing. I'll stop whinging, I promise. :D
Pauline- maybe you could put on the wiggles or something? ;)

05-02-2008, 21:19
Hi Pauline
I can relate with the DH and O thing. DH and i will be interstate for the 3 days before, day of and day after O, and 1. DH is working non stop so will be exhaused. 2. 2 of those days we will be in a mini bus with 6 other guys and 3. we are sharing a room with 2 other guys

:iagree:
Baylismum, I bought some Discover onestep in-stream preg tests. It says "test 5 days before your missed period" on the box. I was going to try and hold off till Friday, but theres no way, now I have the tests. I have no self control! Its all looking good for you too, symptoms sound promising!!
KK, I have heard that it can be a cyst causing the O pain. I just got an AF type cramp too. I usually get AF at 10dpo so I guess tomorrow or the next day ill know what it was.
Im also getting some killer heartburn too!
oooh heartburns good! :D Well in a sense.. I'm not wishing pain on you or anything!
Katieflutterby
05-02-2008, 21:29
I know what u mean
Yes heartburn is good. Im really keen to see what my temp does in the morning. Its been high for the whole 9 days now. Last cycle it slowly dropped off after about 4dpo. BUT i have done a few things differently this time (VIT B6, Vitex, Green Tea) so it could be related to that.

Nomsie - I have my fingers crossed for you - I'm impressed that you can hold off for so long with the testing. Hope you get your BFP in March :)
kittykatz - you are an amazing woman - I have no idea what it must be like to go through the pain you do every month - my hat is off to you
katieflutterby - fingers crossed for a BFP, your chart is looking good!
Pauline70 - man that sucks that your hubby is away during O time. How frustrating.
baylismum - Wow, symptons are sounding promising!!! When are you testing :D
Hubby keeps on hoping that I will throw up in the morning - because that will mean that I am pregnant  he's a funny one sometimes.
Katieflutterby
05-02-2008, 21:47
Thanks Zakster!
How cute what your hubby said. They have a funny way of expressing their thoughts sometimes dont they.
No worries :)
Yes men are funny. I remember that when we decided we were going to TTC that we agreed we wouldn't tell anyone - well hubby can't stop telling people, he is just too excited about starting our family :) - just hope it doesn't take too long.
Katieflutterby

Thats so cute. My DH is the opposite, doesnt want to tell anyone!
I just have to add one more thing before i go, Im sure you will all find this entertaining. Shows how obsessed I have become.
I just went to the toilet, checked my cervix, found a very small string of EWCM, was pleased, then flushed the toilet and walked out. I FORGOT TO PEE!:laughing::o
Is it bad when every trip to the toilet becomes a chance to analyse your CM...
Haha! Yes that is pretty funny.

Hi girls,
Well just as I procrastinated about telling you all I was pregnant, I have procrastinated about writing this post. But the simple truth is, I had a miscarriage on Friday :rain: DH and I were devastated as you could imagine, but we are coping more and more each day. We only knew I was pregnant for 4 days, so I guess it's easier to deal with when you don't have as much time to bond. Amazingly, my doctor thinks I might have miscarried twins  And thankfully both the ER doctor and my GP agree that there were no complications following my m/c, and there is no reason why we can't TTC again once we are ready. So we will be trying again properly in the cycle after this one.
Thank you to everyone for being so lovely and supportive during my TTC time. I hope everyone's going well, congratulations to the BFPs, my condolences to the AFs, and happy bonking to all the girls in between :p :hugs:

Katie when is af due???? I used the same sort of test - 5 days before missed af - when I first did it i only got a very very faint line and that was day of af being due. Just wait and see how things go I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Farmmummy, I'm down for the 24th, but I always put myself down the day af is due. So if it doesn't show after a couple of days, then I'll test.

zakster-im not gonna test til after af is due, so that means at least saturday morning (af is due friday) I hate getting a bfn.
Also, tell your hubby- When I got preg with DS, I didnt get any morning sickness, but DP did!!! Its actually documented that some men get like 'sympathy pregnancy symptoms'
My dp would be walking to work at 6am and throwing up along the way lol..probably shouldnt laugh, oh well

Thanks guys, Im fine with it, i shouldnt have tested so early.
Thanks Farmmummy, thats interesting that you used the same test and it only showed a faint line the day AF was due. Thats good to know! According to my previous cycles, AF usually turns up 10dpo (today) which is why i tested. BUT I have taken some vitamins etc.. to lengthen my luteal phase so it might be later than usual. If AF isnt here on Sat, i might test then, or Sunday if i can hold out till then. :fingerscrossed:
baylismum, how funny that your DH got ms and you didnt
aph - so sorry for your loss - bigs :hugs: to you and your hubby. We are all here for you.
katieflutterby - fingers crossed you just tested too early :)
baylismum - saturday sounds like a good for testing, I really hope you get your BFP :D
It is day 37 for me, and hubby seems to think that my boobs are looking fuller (I think he is just hoping that they do). Only 12 more days til testing, if AF doesn't turn up sooner.

Aph - huge :hugs: to you.
You need to allow yourself time to grieve. While you werent pregnant for long...it doesnt mean that it doesnt hurt very very deeply or that you shouldnt greive in the same way......
Any m/c at any point is an incredibly painful loss, and my thoughts are with you and your DH at this difficult time.

Oh Aph I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss :( :hugs: It just isn't fair  :hugs:
mila - sounds like you BDd at all the right times - hope you caught that eggie :fingerscrossed: - good luck!
Yes girls, I agree with Mila, we need a feb BFP and fast! :D
I'll third that motion! Who's due to test today or tomorrow?
I'm crampy but have been this whole cycle it seems!
Aph, big :hugs: if you need to vent let me know - I know you don't know me but sometimes that helps. I found the best support in here after my loss - in fact I think that's when I originally found the Bub Hub!
Katieflutterby, don't lose hope, it was an early test and they don't work for everyone!
Now come on :bfp:s, we need some good news!
AF due today or tomorrow, bit crampy last 3 days, feels wet down there too & not very hungry???. Will buy test on Sat (joys of living in a small town, no secrets, so will by HPT in Perth) hopefully no AF by then.

Aph - Sorry For Your Loss - :hugs:
Can I please move my testing day to the 20th ??
Having only o'd today cd 17 would that make my period later than the 28 day cycle as normal ??
or should I stick to the 18th ??
My last af started 19th Jan Usual 28 day cycle O'd on cd 17 what would be best testing??
Sorry dont know much, This is coming from someone who thought everyone o'd at cd14 lol :o

Hi Chellzy. Last cycle i ovulated late on day 17 and had a 30 day cycle instead of 28 days. I guess its up to you. At least if you wait till the 20th you will have less chance of seeing a false BFN.
Katieflutterby
06-02-2008, 14:41
Katieflutterby and Baylismum, its up to you! :bfp:
I hope my body hears you, and decides to give me a BFP. :fingerscrossed:
I would wait to the 20th - if AF hasn't turned up by then your chances of seeing a BFN will be reduced.
Good luck!

Sorry to hear that Sunday's Child :(
And Chellzy, I'll put you back to the 20th anyway, to give those hormones a few more days to kick it up a gear! :)
Either bubhub is going bonkers and sending my multiple notifications or my hotmail is crapping itself. Anyone else having issues?
No, but I haven't subscribed to any threads either, so....

hey what up girls :D
just thought id ask advice...got comfirm hpts, should i test at 12dpo or are they ones not for early testing?
ie, what should i get?
and zakster- sorry i havent gotten back to you re the notes yet, ive located half of them  but bayli created a bomb zone down there whilst i was looking, so i got distracted  sorry...ill continue and let ya know tomorrow! :)
nomsie- how are ya? anymore weirdness going on there for you?
baylismum, I have had +results at CD26 with both my pgs using Discover. When I had the mc the + was only ever really faint but with both DS's it was really dark by time AF was due! Hope that helps.
Zacster, I'm getting lots of multiple notifications too! Only for this thread though???

Im sorry that AF showed up Sundayschild
Baylismum about the tests, I think i used those the first time i got my BFP. Does it say on the leaflet anything about how many ml of hcg it measures? If its anything below 25 it should be fine to test with tomorrow. BUT i guess you run the risk of getting a BFN too, it might be too early. Ideally it should be 13-14dpo, but I just cant wait, i have no self control, I have even been doing ovulation tests, cos they are 10ml and will show up pregnancy too. Yes, I am crazy.
Zakster bubhub was playing up for me this afternoon, maybe its fixed now?
Hey Nomsie
Katieflutterby
06-02-2008, 18:42
SammyG, when did you first test with Discover (how many dpo)? I have one of those left, and trying (key word TRYing) to hold off till 14dpo...
BoyCrazy
06-02-2008, 18:55
thanks girls!
sammyg- thankyou, ill pick up some of those tomorrow!
katie-ive looked at the leaflet but i cant find any info on how many ml they are  who knows lol.. I am gonna pm you something that i want u to look at about using opks as hpts ok..its all good, you may already have seen this before! but provides some info i found helpful!
I know what u mean about waiting and trying not to test! grr! its driving me mental, more so
I haven't done this in a while but checked the diary. I used to O on CD14 and test on 12DPO, worked for me...
I haven't done any OPK's this time round but had EWCCM CD12-14 so I guess my cycle is still similar to how it used to be! 1st month trying so I'm not stressing too much yet but you guys definitely have me more excited. This isn't a journey I choose to share outside of home and Bub Hub, don't know what I'd do without you guys (probably much needed housework LOL)
Hey girls, leading up to O so I convinced DP to ah.... you know ;) (not that he needed much convincing)
Oh well Mel, I promised KK I wouldn't post my weirdness in here any more  but if you really need an update, you can always check out my TTC diary. Although I should put a disclaimer on that- I was in a pooey mood when I made the last entry!
Ok, just thought I should add that I just voted in the BH awards. And the result? A landslide for TTCers- yay! Let's take home those golden logies oh I mean BH awards girls!
And (god the mods should be paying me for this) if you haven't voted already, get in and do it- even if you only vote in the categories that fellow TTCers are nominated for- if you are unsure of what they are, Julie (Katiesmum) started a thread in the TTC section dedicated to sniffing the nom'd ttcers out and naming and shaming them!
Let's rock this party!

Hello everyone.
Just dropping in to report.
The "hmmmmn" factor is high here. Seems to be getting higher, too.
7DPO. Cervix high and hard. Breastmilk volume expressed is down a bit. I've been an a bad mood, and I am finding specifically that BF'ing can be aggravating. Peeing more than usual, but certainly not as much as the same stage with DS. I'm tired. Damn tired. Wanted a Nanna Nap at work today.
And they were mopping the floor in the foyer with a pine disinfectant when I left work today, and I swear I almost :barf:
hhhmmmmmmmmm snugglibub, hhhmmmmmmmmmm
At approx 7DPO with both DS's I had the sensation of losing my stomach standing completely still (like being in a lift) With DS1 I actually cried out loud at a bbq and asked if everyone had felt the earth tremor and was accused of being drunk although I was designated driver that night.I'm wondering if I'll get that feeling on Sun or thereabouts. I'm trying to convince myself to only test if I get 'that feeling'.

Good luck to those nearing to test and those who are bd'ing hope you catch the eggie :fingerscrossed:
Right so the hub was playing up - it wasn't just me :D
baylismum - no rush with the notes :) whenever you have a spare moment :)
snugglibub - sounds promising!
HeavenSent - I'm not sure what it means - are you too soon in your cycle for an implantation? I have no idea really
Well I worked out that if I did get pregnant this cycle that the due date for the little one would be nearly spot on DH's birthday :D - that would be funny, lots of people in his family have birthdays around then.
Only 12 more days til testing - I am getting incredibly impatient!!

hi girls
welcome lifesgood- hope u have luck with your opks! as to when to use them etc, it depends on your cycle length. The opks should have a leaflet that tells you when to start using them based on your cycle length, but DO keep in mind that they DONT work for everyone! ( i never got a positive one this cycle, but had a blood test done to confirm i o'd) Good luck.
heavensent- that does sound like a bit of o spotting, was it light pink?
katie- dont stress about your temp dip, even people who have been preg still have some low temps when af is due, but then it doesnt show. I still have my fingers crossed for you!
not sure what my cycle is doing this month, my temps the same as yesterday, but have had a few feelings like af is about to come.
anyways, hope u have a great day girls!
Mel xo
LifesGood08 - as the other girls have said OPKs don't work for everyone - and it is also possible that you are just ovulating later on. How long are your cycles normally?
Katieflutterby - hope that AF stays away, I have my :fingerscrossed: for you. Oh and you said you don't ovulate til day 32 - how long is your average cycle? If you don't mind me asking. My last cycle was 48 days - but I thought that would just be a one off (but here I am on day 38 and still waiting).
Mel - I'm still going to blow a whole heap of baby dust your way, I hope this is your cycle
So yes day 38 for me - I am so not a fan of these long cycles!!!:banghead::thumbsdown:
What is everyone up to today?? I'm at work :D and really that is all I will be doing - pretty boring really, aren't I?

Hi everyone
I'm in a cranky mood today :(. DH accidently turned the alarm clock OFF instead of snooze and i then had 2 MINUTES to throw some clothes on and run to the train station!. I feel gross, no brekky, no shower, no toothbrushing. I just tossed my hair up in a bun and ran up the road. YUCK.
Baylismum, :fingerscrossed: Its looking so promising.
Katie - I hope AF stays away, lets hope that temp jumps back up again. But anyway, like i said its a great pattern anyway and shows your hormones are working well.

I am extremely bad for being able to hold off til a suitable day to get accurate results frm a HPT.
But for those that are like me and get bfn's waaaaaay to early, below is a list of approx hcg levels after conception.
HCG level for single baby (mIU/ml or IU/L)
WEEK (DAYS AFTER CONCEP) HCG LEVEL
Week 3 (7) 0 to 5
Week 4 (14 next period due) 5 to 426
Week 5 (21) 18 to 7340
Week 6 (28) 1,080 to 56,500
Weeks
7 to 8 (35 to 42) 7,650 to 229,000
Weeks
9 to 12 (49 to 70) 25,700 to 288,000
Weeks
13 to 16 (77 to 100) 13,300 to 254,000
Weeks
17 to 24 4,060 to 165,400
Weeks
25 to birth of baby 3,640 to 117,000
4 to 6 weeks after birth Less than 5
So if you test early and get a bfn, don't be totally discouraged, your hcg level may still be on the rise.
The reason hpt's are designed to read above 10 is because 5 doesn't necessarily indicate a pregnancy, but signals that pregnancy is possible with this egg. i.e the sperm and eggie went on a date, but may not implant.
I've always wanted to know this information so thought i would post it here for everyone.
Sorry its a bit messy, not the best formatting options.
hi girls, just caught up on the threads, you guys are a chatty lot arent you!:)
hey baylismum, i have my :fingerscrossed: for you!! also just thought i would let you know with my last cycle i used assurance plus HPT and got faint positives 12 DPO and even though my hcg was only 20 (confirmed with a blood test) but low and behold it didnt stick. i used the strip ones as i found them to be better than the more expensive of the same barnd. and they are only about $9 for 2 tests. they say they measure from 25mmol of HCG.
when are you due to test?
i have got my stash of HPT in the cuboard, its worse than having chocolate!! i am determined not to test till the day AF is due. ( i can not guarantee i will not cave in and test at 12 DPO).
i am going to summon up all my strength!!
also i have a question, theoreticllay when you get UTD what does your cervix do leading up to 14 DPO???? just wanting to know what i should be looking for. thanks gals, have a great day.:smiliedance:
I have to say I love this forum, I can't wait to get to work to see what everyone has been up to (no b/band @ home). I wish I just had a bit more advice to give people, as so far we have had absolutely nothing happen, OPK's show that I seem to ovulate, had a few BFN HPT, never miscarried, don't even really know if I can fall preg, atm just seems like the wrigglers aren't meeting the egg. Haven't seen a doctor as I really don't trust them where I live (won't even do a Pap Smear if they don't feel like it), thought I might just wait this month out, use some more OPK & start taking my temp. AF will be arriving pretty soon I think.:hissy:
kittyktaz,

well i hope the rest of you day is better:flowerz:

I was going to test this morning, but DS woke me up at 3am and really needed to pee, so there went my FMU (couldnt hold on long enuff to get the hpt )
feels like af is coming, TMI HERE it feels really wet down there, but there isnt ny cm?
just another two days and here we go again..:hair:
Kittykatz- grr at your DH!!! Id be getting him to make it up to me, starting with making me dinner! Hope you're having a good day nonetheless! xx
Thanks for the babydust zakster!
Mekiss-where abouts are you from?
ok, must bail real quick, gotta run to coles, im cooking a lamb roast and forgot to get the herbs!!!!!!!
:D
hey mekiss,
i know , its a great forum hey!! i really look forward to checking it out each day.
that sucks you have no relieable docs where you live. but hopefully those little swimmers will pick up their act and meet your eggie soon!!
how long have you been TTC?
hey baylismum,
you are such a good girl for waiting!!! you are providing us with a great role model. i hope i can follow in your footsteps!
yummy, roast lamb!!! making me hungry. havent even thought about dinner yet. DH is at a confrence tonight so its just me . i hate cooking for 1. think i will have latina pasta and sauce , i will share it with DS, he loves it!. its just soooo easy!!
its damn hot today hey, might head to the beach later for a dip with DS.
now you have got me thinking about food, i am hungry. going to check out whats in the fridge!
DS is still asleep, has been for 2 hours (glorious). must have worn him out playing this morning.

MEKISS - I just read your TTC diary and had to laugh - i discuss my HPT's with my dog ALL the time. I made her sit there and guard it so i couldn't look before the 5 minutes was up :)
Glad I'm not the only loon! Munro (the dog) obviuosly didn't pray hard enough!
TTC for 10 months. I live in a small country town about 300km from Perth, I went to the Doc Oct last year & told her that we were trying for a family & what should we do & all she said is work out when you will O. Great thanks, I have since found out that I may need to have a blood test to check my immunisation levels?
Really don't know what to do, talking myself into waiting out this month, do OPK tests & measure BBT then see how I go. Anyone from WA know a good GP???
Kittykatz - hope your day is getting better :) - I always hate that dreading feeling when you wake up late. AAhhhh panic!!!
baylismum - sounds like you might test earlier than saturday, I am sitting on the edge of my seat. I really hope you get a :bfp:!!!!
My SIL says that she has dreamt that I was pregnant for the last 3 nights in a row  - I hope she is having a psychic moment :fingerscrossed: - my god it would be soooo exciting!!!
My husband is also considering taking up a job next January back in his home town - Mildura. I said 'what would i do?' - and his reply was 'have babies' :D. I wonder if he is really deeply considering it?? I don't know what to think of it at the moment. Guess we have some time to think about it - it is almost a year away.
Mekiss - you should definitely get your blood checked for rubella. You should also be taking folate, and should definitely have a pap smear.
It really is a pity that your local doctors are so unhelpful :(

Hi all,
Have been reading everyone's progress for Feb with much interest and hope...sorry havent posted til now - baylismum, it is sounding good for you :fingerscrossed:
Hmmm, not much to report here except I am pretty sure AF is coming. I have been having quite a few pregnancy signs over the past week though, but am now telling myself it is 'wishful' thinking and all in my head...I caved in and tested this morning and it was a :bfn:.
But, my cycle is all out of whack this month, for the first time I dont actually know when I o'd - normally I am textbook 14 days with very obvious EWCM - you can set your calendar by it!.
This month, I think I might have o'd around cd 11 as I had just a bit of blood stained cm but didnt think anything of it til recently. So think I might have missed the boat this month....
Oh well, I spose all hope doesnt go til the AF lady actually arrives for her monthly visit though, hey?!!
Will test again on Sat or Sun morning if AF hasnt arrived....but I think I know my destiny this month :(
Good luck to everyone nearing their test time :babydust2:
Hi chikagirl
*sigh* Well... I'm boring. I'm just waiting to O. It feels like all I ever do is wait for this and wait for that. Wait for Af to finish. Wait to O. Wait for TWW to finish. Wait for af to finish... and the cycle continues.
Am I waiting my life away? Perhaps I should get a new hobby? And since when did my posts turn into one of Carrie Bradshaw's article for the NYT?
chickagirl
07-02-2008, 16:11
I hear ya, Nomsie!! Maybe we all forgot to 'take a number' and that's why we're still waiting?
I reckon it's the offer of 'steak knives' you mentioned at the start of this thread that is scaring everyone's BFP away??!!!! :p (Perhaps you should change it and offer something else!!)
I feel like AF just needs to show herself so I can get on with not thinking of the 'what if's an analysing every little twinge or symptom...the waiting game is KILLING me (with or without those damn steak knives!)

I think we should ask the mods for a new emoticon to be designed - one with a 'non-smilie' of a piccy of AF with a dagger thru her (you cant half tell I must be premenstrual hey?!!!) :hissy: Do you think it would get a bit of use in this thread?!! Hee hee!
Bring it on (AF) I say, I'm definitely sick of the bloody cramps & having to go to the loo to see if anything has happend down there yet.
You know what smilie I want? A little shrug guy. I shrug a lot lately, and there just isn't a smilie that emotes my feelings!

chickagirl - :hugs: to you. Know how you're feeling. Had the pregnancy symptoms myself only to get a big fat :bfn: when I did a test and then AF a day later. A lady in my Bubhub playgroup has just announced her :bfp:, our AF was due around the same time. I have already booked an appointment with my Ob Gyn for early April - my year of TTC would be up by then.
I sometimes feel very guilty venting on here about TTC#2 :o as there are lots here who are still TTC #1. I can only wish you all heaps of :babydust2: and hope that 2008 is a very prosperous baby-making year for us all.

Can't do personals right now as gotta go cook dinner, just got back from shopping.
Well today my temp went down again so haven't yet ovulated,i think i am o'ing today had lots of ferning on maybe baby and my opk is getting darker hopefully its a + soon.Have lots of o pain today so i think todays the day.
Theres been a change in weather today lots of rain and there may be some more on the way for tomorrow :smiliedance: such a change from the heat.
Hi girls, just a quick stop in just spreading some :babydust2:
Have spent the evening with DP, sprucing up his car, reading for a show in March :)
So, whilst I technically haven't been bding, SammyG, may I still be excused, because as boys would say, I've been laying thr ground work
And Mariposa... sigh... I will take your extra 50c, but I'm not happy about it!
nomsie, you are excused. Men can be funny creatures, hate to think they are being 'used for their swimmers' so groundwork is necessary from time to time. Pity mine doesn't realise it works both ways, the odd sleep-in would definitely make me more amorous (when not ttc)
lol Sammy, that's so funny, I like to have a sleep in and wake up on my own accord, and then I would be happy to ...well, you know... but DP always wakes me up early on the weekends lmao like before 6 or 7!?! WTF?! Dude, you don't need to keep checking if I will still bd with you!
Hmm... I just realised I don't even know where I am with my cycle.. hang on *Nomsie does several complicated calculations.....* Oh gosh, I am CD 12 today... that's normally when I O! How could I not realise! :hair:
quick noms, get in the sack:p

this is exciting!!!
good luck:babydust2::babydust2:

I dont want to see any of you over in the march thread! But i am gonna be popping in here now and then to check on you all.
Good luck and much babydust to everyone
:babydust2::babydust2::bfp::babydust2::babydust2:
Mel - so sorry that AF came along :( I really was hoping that this would be your turn.
chickagirl - damn that AF :(
Nomsie - good luck catching that eggie!!
kittykatz - I am a bit skeptical as to how my SIL who lives interstate could possibly know that I am pregnant  - but hey I wouldn't be complaining if she was right .
Day 39 for me today.....10 days til testing! DH seems certain that we are pregnant - I told him to settle down, because we don't want to be getting hugely disappointed when AF turns up. It is seriously all I can think about right now though - it is driving me crazy.
So what is everyone's plans for the weekend. I'm not up to much, going to visit my mum tomorrow and that is about it really :)

Chickagirl and baylismum, huge :hugs:
Baylismum, i really thought this was your month :gloomy:.
I don't have anything to report. AF left yesterday, so waiting for O, but barely see DH these days and will be on the road and working for the 3 days before up till the day after O and sharing a room with other guys, so this month was over before it even started!
On a brighter note i have acupuncture and the hairdresser tomorrow. Then my mum/stepdad and 10 year old brother are coming for dinner, so it will be a busy but fun day.
kittykatz - sucks that you are going to be busy at O time :( - hope you have a great day tomorrow though, sounds like it is going to be jam packed!
MILA-
Lol yes well considering I was at work when I posted that I was Oing....
I don't think the kids would be too impressed if they walked in on that one.. moving on!
So sorry to hear af showed up Chikagirl, and mel! :hugs:
I'm sure I WILL see you in the march thread, but you had better get a bfp there, because I am sure as heck getting mine! :sunshine:

Good lord- no one has a Feb BFP yet! Luckily KK took over the March thread, and assumed the role of Grand High Thread Master, I have apparently lost my touch!

Welll your Bl**dy well not trying hard enough!
if i poke my nipples any harder to get them to be tender they will bleed
..... Oh I started writing a funny story about nipples, but you're lucky I thought twice about it, it was probably TMI and probably a bit weird  I know we share a lot here, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut!
Oh yay yes, go farmmummy, do it for the feb TTCers... Jan stuffed me all up- I had two cycles within the month, and instead of testing at the start of the month (which I liked) I am now having to wait until the end of the month. I suddenly now realise how hard a TWW can actually be! This sucks bottoms lol
So sorry that AF turned up katieflutterby and deanth :( :( :(
We certainly aren't doing too well so far :(
Come on all us ladies that are yet to test - lets get those BFPs!!!!
I'm trying, I guess.... I want DP's mate to go home, so we can make the most of the timing (I am around O time).... but this is the guy that is hopeless at taking hints, and will hang around we are just about asleep on the couch! Grrrrr....
Oh well. *shrug*

DH used to have a friend just like that. Would turn up (normally right on dinner time) and just never leave. Would never take a hint either.
Oh my goodness, i have been lightheaded all day and i swear the whole screen went all distorted just then. I have been feeling "full" for a couple of days now with no appetite. Dr's what is wrong with me :(.

Dont be so b*oody stupid. I'm on CD6. I was looking for something more helpful :shame: Could it just be from being mega tired?
Doesn't sound very pleasant kittykatz :( - I have had the wonky screen thing before - a touch of vertigo it felt like.
Hope you get to the bottom of it :)
Oookaaaay, add cranky to the list....
seriously then, how much water have you been drinking lately? Or I think blood pressure can induce lightheadednedd and woozy feelings... not sure if it's high or low blood pressure though... :detective:
Can I just have a quick rant - aahhhhhh I hate all the waiting!!!!! I can't believe I have to wait another 10 days before I can test!! Bloody ridiculous having to wait til CD 49!!! Arrghhhhhh!
I think light headedness normally goes with low blood pressure?
