Hi Everyone,

After conceiving #3 on first attempt, I recently miscarried a little over two weeks ago (Jan 18th).

I took to the net to read about ovulation after m/c and read that it can happen as little as two weeks after the first day of bleeding.

So me..being ever so eager to be pregnant again..started my OPK 1 week later (Jan 25th). It was positive along with EWCM. So I conned ( sorry I mean convinced ) DH to BD.

We left it a few days as hubby didn't think it was physically a good idea for my body to go through it again so quickly.

I did another OPK 1st Feb and it was still very postive, still with slight EWCM. Not sure why the OPK show a positive over a one week time frame???? So we BD'd once more.

Anyway, just wanted to know if anyone else had tried to conceive straight after a m/c without waiting for their next af to arrive?

I would love your feed back, if you were succesful or not....

As for me...the Two Week Wait has now started!:fingerscrossed:

My friend is due with her 2nd bubs in a few weeks. She conceived 2 weeks after a miscarriage, didn't wait just went for it.

She has had 3 miscarriages and waited a few months before TTC again after the first two, but after the last one she didn't wait.

Good Luck.

I think generally you are advised to allow yourself to have a full cycle before TTC again? But probably best to ask your GP or Gyno. If its meant to happen it will though, so good luck! :fingerscrossed:

I also miscarried a couple of weeks ago. They advised me not to try until my next cycle. They said because the hormones are still all over the place and because in the first month the lining may not be good enough which will increase the chance of miscarry. I however had a D&C and maybe that is different than a natural and complete m/c.

I can't advise on the OPK as they never work for me anyway. I thought though that they can stay positive if you are pregnant and it is possible that some hormone levels may be too high due to your recent pregnancy.

I wish you all the best. I will certainly be back on the TTC as soon as my cycle returns.
