do baby no. 2 get bigger

well i no it doesnt always happen but with most people it does

was ur 2nd 3rd and so on bubs bigger then ur first, as claire was 9pd 3oz, 9days over due, so am i likely to have a bigger bub then that i would rather a chubba bubba then a lil bubba n will i go over due n get induced again with this one as it did with claire???

labours are so different, and babies. So you never know what might happen.

My second dd was 10 oz smaller than my first and lobours were 10 hours different

Mine were all 2 weeks over and went like this ..... 2.6kgs 2.7kgs , 2.2kgs and 2.6kgs
every bubs is different, its a waiting game sorry :)

I had an 8.4 lb and then a 10lb and just had a 9lb.

DD was born 7lb 11oz (3496g), spontaneous delivery 3 days over EDD. 14 hour labour.
DS was born 7lb 14oz (3585g), so only JUST bigger, induced 9 days over EDD. Approx 8 hour labour.

Yep like the others have shown things can vary greatly.

With Boof he was 10lb & was 41wks with a horrendous 3 day labour.

Squeak was only 8lb & something ounces lol was 42wks+1day & labour was only a blissful 12hrs & i seriously enjoyed it this time around !

My Ob told me that statistically your 2nd is bigger than first but that wasn't the case for me, see sign. Nor was it the case for my Mum.

My DD was 9lb 8. After birth at my 6 week check up my obstetrician said that if you start off having big babies they usually get smaller after that. whereas if you start small, they get bigger.

anyway, I'm hoping he is right cos I don't really want my second to be bigger than my DD!

My Claire was born at 39 weeks + 1 day at 8lb 7oz & 48 cms (yes, a buddha!!)

DS was born 8 days overdue at 7lb 6oz & 51 cms.

with DS i was induced 10 days over and had a 18 hour natural labour and he was born 7pound 14oz

DD was 6 days over and my waters broke the night before i was to be induced but still had the drip cause nothing was happening.
Afer 7 hours and only dilating 3 1/2 cms i had the epi and after a 13 hour labour she was born at 7p 2oz.

I hope this is true. My DS was a lovely 10lb 3oz buddah. I did have GD so that does explain it a bit.

My first baby was 10lbs 14ozs & my 2nd was low 8 lbs. I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd so I hope I keep going down :laughing:

My dd (#1) was 1 week early and 7lbs14oz and my ds (#2) was 1 day overdue and was 7lbs15oz.

DD 1 was 8lb 1/2oz @ 38.4 wks and a 4 hr 35 min labour
DD 2 was 7lb 12oz @ 39.4 wks and was a 1 hr labour

My first i was induced at 3 days past edd she was 7lb 3oz.
DS1 was 8 days past edd he was 7lb 6oz (so only slightly bigger)
& DS2 was 9 days past edd and he was 9lb 1oz (he was a big jump up for me and was and still is my chubba bubba lol).

So in my case they did get bigger each time and longer too with bigger h/c too lol.

My second was bigger and was my biggest. My eldest and youngest were the same size.

I can't remember them in kgs!!:laughing:

6lb 4oz (6 weeks prem-female)
6lb 3oz (1 week early-female)
7lb 4oz 5 days early (male - and all boof head:D)

Mine got bigger each time.

1. 6lbs8oz although 2 weeks early
2. 8lbs 8oz and a week late (so in comparison an extra 3 weeks to cook!)
3. 9lbs 5oz, also a week late. And all with big 37.5cm boof heads!
I shutter to think if I ever had another, would I be looking at 10lbs+?
