My first was April, second was June.
For some reason I always thought that my third would be August, just to make an even 2 month gap thru the birthdays in the year!

August would probably be nice

September for both hemispheres as they are cool. I had my DD at the end of the Sydney summer hard going on the old body, now having my DS in the UK spring so nice and cool.

wrapping them up is a nightmare BTW lol

I have had march and august, and i can tell you the august was so much better!!!

The m/s was in the heat for august (first baby so spent all my time in the pool) but #2 it was winter so when i had hot flushes i would be cold and hot at the same time.

As for the end of preg, with #2 the obvious it was hot in oct, nov, dec, jan, feb, mar, so i hated it, he was also 10lb 14oz so i was really big, but with #1 it was winter so i was extra comfy:)

and when bubs was born as above, august it was wraps etc, and baths were not needed everyday, but in summer when BF we would both sweat and if he got milk on him he would smell.

In my opion, august was the BEST, but i guess thats just my opinion:)

I think July because of the same reasons as everyone else to do with temperature. Also no worries about when to sent them to school.
Nov - April babies there is always a difficult decision to be made.

i think july/august would be nice, not heavily preg thru summer and still warm snuggley bub and breastfeeding thru winter...

*breastfeeding in summer is worse than being preg in summer!! lol

Yep, i agree with winter months! My boys were August (very end...30th) and July. And winter is much better IMO. They look so snuggly and warm all wrapped up. They don't get all sticky when you hold them or feed them. Not so much worry about taking them out and them dehydrating due to the heat, or getting too hot in the car. Not so much stress about ME drinking enough to make enough milk etc during the hot summer months with a newborn.

Add to that the heat and late pregnancy would be HORRID, and i am all for winter babies :) Winter is uncomfortable enough. What would i wear if it was summer, as i mostly wear t-shirts in the middle of winter in Melbourne when pregnant!

Just as well all 3 of mine are winter bubs hey! LOL

DS was an April bub and I thought it was great. I don't remember the weather being an issue at all unless he was wrapped up while bf-ing and was too warm.

I do remember being heavily pregnant through Summer and that wasn't fun. I was so over the chafing, sweating, drinking / peeing all the time!

I wish I was born a Summer baby. I love Summer!

my first DS was an august baby and by far the best as comming into the end of winter start of spring . You dont have to beheavily pregnant in summer and it is not too cold to get up in the middle of the night for BF . Bub isn't covered in heat rash and unlike my other 4 DS's he actually got to wear his lovely clothes instead of singlets and nappies

DS is a January bub and it was horrible. So sweaty and hot and humid.

This time I'm trialling April - just warm enough for bub to wear sleeveless rompers and cool enough in the evenings for snuggly blankies.

My Son was born in summer and I loved it; though being heavily pregnant in the beginning and midddle of summer was hard. I was really concerned with SIDS as a cousin died from this; so having my bub due in summer meant that he could sleep with just a sheet and not be over-heated and keeping him cool was easy....and there are so many cute summer outfits he looked so cute, summer walks in the pram were great too.

This time round, whenever our second baby decides to show up....this one isn't on anyone's schedule but his/her own :D

 NOT December!!!!! Anything but December!!!!! Did I mention that December is NOT the time to be permanently attached to a new baby?????

:p I wish I listened to my own advice. Winter babies are lovely and summer babies make mummy smell like sour milk 24/7. Also Santa and Christmas kind of overshadows the birthday celebrations.

I would choose either October or November. I had bub in Sydney in the first week of March and I remember being nearly 7 months pregnant in the heatwave of December and January, never again.

October or early November isn't too hot for either myself or the newborn.

my sis had her dd right in the middle of summer and had a real hard time keeping her cool, as she has no air con or anything. So summers a no go. And I had my dd right in the middle of winter and lived in a crappy little weatherboard house that was FREEZING and had a hard time keeping her warm at night, so winter is no go for me too. Id say spring, not too hot, not too cold (except for those freezing icey mornings!)

I had DS in December and oh my god, it was definitely hard being heavily pregnant in that heat but looking back it wasn't too bad after I had him.

I would love to have my next in September or October :D I love Spring.

i think not september cause when i gave birth to my son the was no room in the maternity ward, so i had to wait in the birth center for a few hours, supposibly it is always very busy in september cause everyone is getting preg around christmas and new years. to much celebrating IYKWIM!!
winter is better!!

We deliberately tried to fall pregnant to be due in Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec this time. :)

Its the end of the cold weather, and you are coming into beautiful warm days and clear nights, less chance of bubba getting a chill. :)

I've had a June bub, an December bub and an October bub.

If I plan the next one it will depending on the gap be born somewhere between March and August.

I liked being heavily pregnant during winter, I'd have a tshirt, a skirt and some slippers and that was it. I got cross when helpful DH would try to cover me up after kicking off the blanket at night. I could have warm baths to ease my back and it wasn't too hot to do so.

I do like having bub in spring not too hot or too cold but want a bit more of a gap between birthdays next time.

I had an April baby and was glad to have her then.

Were I live April is still warm, but not boiling hot.
It's a lovely time of the year.
Winter comes on slowely and by the time baby is a bit older and it's cold it will not be such a shock to them.

Besides I loved having a nearly winter baby so we were not all hot and sweaty. Besides I could dress dd up with beanis that had ears!:D

When I have had 12 babies - one in each month I will let you know!

I had my first in Feb - too hot! My second in April which wa snice as it was getting cooler so I got to wrap him. My last baby came in Nov as its was getting hot.
I wanted an August baby. Its good to have a baby to swaddle and cuddle. But then its good to have an older baby in the warner months so less washing with clothes.

Hmmm... I guess ther's pro's and con's anytime. My first was born in Jan and the next ones due in May. The good thing about a summer Bub is that you don't have to get out of bed on freezing nights to feed:thumbsup:, but then I hate the cold! Also Jan is a great month for a birthday because you're usually the oldest in sports teams (not the little one), get to have birthday parties in the warmer months and a perfect age when it comes to going to school (i.e. don't have to go too young or be held back). Get back to you on May after this next one is born.

I voted for May as that's when my baby's due to be born :D.

My daughter was born in January and it was so, so hot in Sydney. We were all so hot, and her combined heat + mine when breastfeeding was almost unbearable (we didn't have a/c ). A few times she only slept in a nappy and singlet due to the heat, the poor love.

Like Kayla, I am so excited about having a winter baby, and especially looking forward to bundling the baby up in warm clothes & blankets, feeding in a warm (comfortable temperature) house due to ducted heating and enjoying being able to breast feed without sweat dripping off me !

Being pregnant in summer isn't much fun, but I think I'd much rather put up with the uncomfortableness (don't think that's a word, but anyway) of being pregnant in Summer than having a newborn in Summer

Well my 1st is an Oct bub, then 2nd is a July bub so i wouldn't mind having the last one at the beginning of the year. I like February. Plus it'd be nice to have and Aquarian! :D

I put July because I'm totally biased and that's when I'm due! Even thought we didn't plan it though, I'm pretty stoked, because I HATE summer and have been very glad to be early pregnant through the awful heat we've been having.

Plus like others here have said I love the idea of little snuggly babykins with little booties and blankies and beanies! So sweet... Winter is my favourite season anyway so I'm pretty happy we're due almost literally slap bang in the middle of it.

the very end of winter. i got sooo sick from being pregnant in the hot weather. so if you fall pg not too far into summer than you can avoif being heavily pregnant in it!

although, in saying that we have been trying for 9 months and its coming close to that time, so i would be happy for any month!

I voted September. I have both a may and a sep bub and preg again to have a Sep baby. You are at you bigest through the winter months. Its still cool but not frezing in September (in QLD anyway) I think the only bad thing about a September bub is thay have to wait an extra year to start school.
