Bi-card soda and Baking soda

I have a recipe that needs baking soda but I couldn't see any at the supermaket.

Baking soda is what the yanks call bi-carb soda.
It's the same thing.

Baking POWDER is different. They can be substituted but you need to add 3 times as much baking powder as bi carb.

I just had a second look at the Bi-carb packet and in smaller writting under Bi-carb is says baking soda. Maybe I should start reading :laughing:
