View Full Version : Holiday recommendation for Noosaville
We have decided to take my 2yr old to Noosaville for a holiday because of the river and the boating activities, etc. A bit of an adventure before her baby sister arrives in May :yelclap:. I have found a few places that look ok from the website, but I wondered if anyone has stayed at any of these places, and can offer any advice. The places I've seen are:
Islander Noosa Resort
Sandy Beach Resort
Coral Beach Resort
The Entrance Noosa
Noosa Sound Resort
If anyone has any other suggestions that they think would be lovely, I'd be keen to hear.
Many thanks for any assistance!!
Cheers,
Sam

Hi,
I walk past the places in your list most days,
The Islander is looking a bit run down these days, it's been there a while and so is a bit tired. Great location though!
Sandy Beach and Coral Beach - great position, very close to the playground which my own toddler adores. Look clean, well maintained but don't know if the interiors have been updated (both been there for a while).
The other two I don't really know, the Noosa Sound resort is on a busy road and not great access to the river/beach, it would not be my choice.
There are others though, that I recommend to family and friends so let me know if you would like a list :) What are your needs ?? (eg quiet, close to river or playground/eateries etc)

Hey Noosamum,
How wonderful to live in such a beautiful area:sunshine:! I love Noosaville and the surrounding area.
Thanks so much for your reply - it was very, very helpful! I'd love to know where else you'd recommend. Basically we want somewhere close to a playground and an area of the river that is safe for swimming. As for the place itself, really just want somewhere self-contained and with a pool. I was also thinking that a newer place might be more likely to have a better bed (I'm at that annoying stage of pregnancy where getting a good nights sleep is more challenging) - but I know this is very much the luck of the draw really.
I'd be very grateful for your ideas!
Many thanks,
Samum
We went to Noosa for christmas and we stayed at a place called Noosa Northshore. It's about 5 minutes from Noosaville. It's a lovely family place - very quiet, kangaroos on your doorstep, pony rides, playground. Google it, they have a website.
Thanks so much for the idea Missy75 - will go and google it now.

Hi sammum,
Here are a couple of ideas for you..just went for a walk and jotted down some for you on my way :)
Colonial Resort, Gympie Tce, Noosaville, great position! Newish, nice places to eat very close, across road from river and parklands :)
Montpelier Resort, James Street, Noosaville - newish, very quiet street, looks lovely, easy access to the river (two minute walk pushing pram )
Verano, Weyba Rd, Noosaville (might be alittle noisy depending which side of the resort you are but has great beds!!!! Weyba Rd can be busy but the resort also has another street access on theother side which would be very quiet.
My parents stayed there at Xmas (my house was full) and they thought the beds were fab and they are very fussy!)
Let me know if you need any others :)

Hey Noosamum,
These are fantastic :yelclap:!! Thank you so much for your help!!
I've had a look at the websites and contacted a few of the places to see if they have any availability for the week we are hoping to go away. I'm kind of hoping that some of them don't have availability as I'd have trouble choosing otherwise .... they all look great!
You are a star :smiliedance:for going to this trouble!
Cheers,
Sam

My pleasure :flowerz: Happy to help.
Enjoy your holiday! If you are looking for a toddler friendly place for a coffee, I go to Vanilla on Gympie Tce most mornings and they are very welcoming of my toddler :)
Have a lovely time!
Just wanted to a quick follow-up post. We ended up going to the Coral Beach resort - the decision was based on price and availability. It was great. As noosamum mentioned they obviously have been there for a while, but the unit we stayed in (number 18) was freshly painted and lovely and clean. The kitchen appliances were a bit old, but they all worked. They are lovely and big townhouses - upstairs 2/3 bedrooms and bathroom & downstairs laundry/bathroom combo, kitchen, dining/lounge. Had the pool right outside so our 2 yr old just loved it. The main beach was a short drive and lovely and sheltered. So, all-in-all, a winner. We'd go back.
