Hi Girls
Long time, no chat :) I am glad to see DeJeane is about to give birth in March :yelclap: Congrats!!
Well I am going to get back on the TTC cart and hopefully get our BFP this time around
I am just wondering though, I have PCOS but I think I could be misdiagnosed because I have regular periods
Is it possible to get regular periods with PCOS? I first joined up my cycles were all over the place, but for a good 9 months I have had my cycle dead on to the hour
Does PCOS just sort it self out?
Any others with PCO that have fallen pregnant naturally?
I look forward to your replies

Welcome back wantabub!!!
Hopefully this time you will get your bfp!!! Do you remember me? I was here when you were last time too. I still trying but at least now know why it hasn't happened yet and hopefully will be getting it sorted out.
Anyway I have a friend with pcos but still has regular periods - not precisely down to the day but within a few days of being due (like me but doc says thats still regular). Anyway she has an ultrasound this coming week to see the sex of her baby!!! She fell naturally twice - first ended in mc but the second is the one she's carrying now and that was the month after the mc!!! Her and her df had been ttc for nearly 4 years!!! I hope this gives you some hope!!! :hugs:

Hi
I dont have PCOS ....but I know a few who have....
Some of them certainly do o regularly ...and also have fallen pg naturally and without too many difficulties...... others unfortunately have had much more difficulty.
I think it certainly varies a lot from person to person ......
The only advice I will offer ...is if your GP/Gyno/FS suggests clomid or stim drugs .....make sure you are monitored carefully as pcos can mean you are easily hyper stimulated (OHSS) .....
Other tna that ...good luck, and I hope you get a nice easy and natural BFP very soon.
:) :flowerz:

Hi Mellymumma!! Yes I remember you! Who couldn't forget your kind words?? You're a god send!!
DP and I have decided to try again more seriously (as in go to dr. and figure out why it hasn't happened yet) we have been bd'ing for the last 2 years unprotected and I have only fallen once - but it ended in MC before I even knew I was PG
I hope that I can fall naturally soon - it would be really nice surprise!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU TTC'ERS :D my heart and thoughts are with you!!

hi there
i have PCOS and i have almost regular periods. The only way they can actually diagnose you correctly is if they do a Laproschopy just to see how many cysts you have, they can 'guess' as such by poking and prodding around (which is generally VERY painful) PCOS doesnt sort it self out naturaly but i would suggest you seeing your GP to get a referal to a Gyno who will be able to tell you how bad you have it (or arrange to have the Laproschopy etc just to find out what your chances are etc etc etc..) they do say though when you are BF that PCOS and endo do tend to 'sort itself out' but not completely, just better then what it was! HTH! and good lucK! :)

I have PCOS as well, from the research ive been doing when people with PCOS that are overweight lose a bit of weight that helps to manage the symptoms but it cant be 'cured' as such.
I had an internal ultrasound and they were able to see how many cysts are in there (if you have any at all)... so definantly get a referral from your GP to go see a Gyno if you are TTC :)

thanks Kattus and Eliza
Unfortunately I don't have any PCOS symptoms for the last 9+ months
a) I have never been over weight
b) my periods are regular
c) I don't have excessive hair
d) I don't have acne
But I have been diagnosed with poly cystic ovaries and I can't seem to be able to fall pregnant naturally
I am going to talk to DP and discuss going to the dr. to take the next step of going to the gyno and getting to the end of this! He has been all clucky for the last few weeks but is hesitant to go the next step! Is this normal? I think he is worried that he has something wrong with him? :S

Have they tested you for Insulin Resistance or anything? You can have cystic ovaries without the actual syndrome, in which case blood tests need to be done to determine this. I was given an ultrasound which showed the cysts, but followed up with blood work to confirm it.

No, I don't believe I have been tested for insulin resistance yet - I am going to follow that one up!!

my sister has PCO (without those other symptons you mentioned) she was told you wont be able to conceive...as she wasnt ovulating properly, so off she went down to get accupuncture and chinese medicine.. within 2 weeks of treatment she had her AF.... 3 months later she had her little boy! :)
The othe roption is to go get a full blood panel done to outrule anything else! good luck hun!

Hi I have PCOS and I have had 2 children without the aid of medication. I dont ovulate very regularly my cycles can be up to 3 months long, I am not overweight or have insulin probs I just dont O often the only thing I have noticed this time round (we are ttc again) Is I have pimples on my back -YUK!!! My 1st child took just under 2 years to concieve where my 2nd took only 1 slip up - but I was BF at the time and they say the BF hormones can overide the PCOS hormones. We have been trying since August for No 3 - still no luck yet unfortunatley. Good luck to you:wizard:
