Hi
I don't know how many of you feel the same way I do, but I find it really boring being at home all day! I only have one child, so I can't imagine it would be the same with two, but sometimes I just wonder if anyone else feels like this?
There are only so many times you can go to the shops - and without spending money is hard! - and we can only really afford only one class a term (ie swimming, Kindyroo, music).... So... what does every one else do all day every day??
He is only 13 months and he is not walking yet so he can't run around a park or anything either.
Anyway, looking forward to hearing some of your ideas.
Carole

hi carol,
when alexis was at that age i was a bit hard. I used to take him 4 walks in his pram, parks as alexis was walking, beachs, swimming in my mums pool, going out to lnch with mum and going to playgroups. the ones at coomera are free and they have music to movement. When i was home we did art activities or make a cubby, play in the sand pit. most of all watch his cartoons only in the morning. I also used to catch the bus and in to westfeild then let him play on the playground till scott came to pick us up.

My problem was not entertaining alexis but i want adult comversation that didnt invlove baby talk.

Now i have two and dont take them out to much as im not gain enough.

good luck with everything

Sometimes things can seem monotanous, I try to vary what we do by- visting with a friend at least once a week. Going on a picnic, for walks and to the park- even when my son wasn't walking he loved going down the slippery dip and on the swings. I also like to go to the local pool and take him for a dip. Play groups are a good idea as well.
At home I would suggest trying some activities like bubble blowing, or drawing with big crayons or chalk. Reading books, singing nursery ryhmes. Having a nice big bath in the day with different containers and tupperware and water bottles. You probably allready do alot of these things, I hope some of the suggestions help.:)
