I'm enrolling in Tafe this afternoon.

The course is full time for 6 months, and I'm so worried about how the kids will cope. DP is refusing to take care of them so I can study, so DD will need to go to after school care, and DS will need to go to day care at least 3 days p/w. He has never been to daycare before, so I'm scared that he won't be happy there.

I'm not sure I'll be able to afford it either.

So, should I enroll? How does everyone else manage?

I have wanted to do this course for sooo long, and I know I'll do really well at it.

I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement - I don't get it from DP :banghead:

I think it is a fantastic idea. A little bit of sacrifice now and the rewards in the end are going to be great. Studying is such a great way to get back on track after having children and it is a great confidence booster. And you are obviously doing it for a reason and if you get work out of it then your family will be better off in the long run .

DD will be fine in care. Most kids that I know bloom when they have social interaction so the both of you will be growing together :yelclap:. It may be a bit hard financially but your DP may come around and help look after the kids. You can always hope :raspberry:.

Well done for choosing to do something for you and your family. Good luck for enrolments.:flowerz:

I agree with PP. You'll love it. I only have 1 and study 1 day a week and work 4. It does get difficult at times to be juggling everything but when you get that statement of attainment at the end of the year- it's great!

I did it!

I am so excited about returning to Tafe. I'm not impressed with the timetable though - there are 2 days that finish at 10pm. I'll sit down and have a good talk with the teachers about doing those days at home though. I have studied with that department before, and they are pretty flexible.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Thanks guys :hugs:
