St Patricks Day

anyone interested in coming to the St Paddy's Parade on Sunday in the city??

the parade walks the streets around town hall (follow the wave of Green) at 12noon and ends at Hyde Park where there is entertainment market stalls and a barrel of laughs.

i will be there and would really LOVE company who have (or are having) children as any one that we meet up with normally are childless and spend all day in the beer tents.

This years kids area is going to be bigger and better and all free!!
There will be bouncy castles and an amazing obstacle course.

The challenges just keep coming as you climb the stairs, down the slide, thru the first set of obstacles then crash thru the Popups, under or over the hurdles, then thru the last set of Popups and out thru the mesh to the finish line We have seen grown men cry as the littlies storm past them to the finish line!!!!!!

Like last year there will be family story telling area with stories about Irish myths, history, banshee, leprechauns and lots lots more.

It'd be great to see you Maria .... hopefully you can make it in time for the parade. It's getting smaller but still ( i think) worth a look .... if not only to see what the whackos from St Pats college get up to in front of town hall!!!!!

Hey Eleanor,

We cant make it unfortunately but to celebrate St Paddy's day today all the kids in my preschool class wore green, we made green playdough, green slime, drank green milk LOL:D and sewed some shamrocks!!!

We had such a great time, we put on celtic music and the kids started Irish dancing:smiliedance: it was awesome!

Well seeing as how I am near hyde park I may venture out and call ya Eleanor..but apparently I am in early labour lol so I will see how I am going :laughing: I am hoping I am giving birth :D

My Dad is in Dublin at the moment (family issues) and he has his whole day planned at just being at session after session after session .... all complete with pints and pints of Guiness no doubt.

well we had a blast at the parade for those wondering ..... Maria managed to join us with her cute as a button little girl and her hubby. DMunfortunately didn't make it in, though i would say her excuse is plausible ... !

Unfortunately however due to my children getting ratty, my partner getting VERY drunk, and me just getting hot.... we missed the U2 experience show ... which just so happened to have Bono himself as lead singer .........
BUGGER!!!!!!!!!! Oh well ... better luck another time.
