My belly seems to have popped out overnight!!! I went from a slight bump (unnoticable to most) to a big bulging belly in the matter of days if not hours.
Im currently uncertain of exactly how far along I am (I keep getting different opinions so I'm tired of trying to work it out)- but I'm somewhere between 16+ weeks and 19 weeks.
How soon did your belly pop out? Did it change with each subsequent pregnancy (I think this one is the earliest of my pregnancies- maybe a sign of weak abdominal muscles:shame: )...

Hi raffee,
I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and have also popped out over the last week. I just said to hubby that I feel REALLY tight and bloated by the end of the night and wonder how I'm going to feel by 40 weeks. I don't fit any of my normal jeans anymore and have put on about 4+ kg's already!!! I definitely think I get bigger with each pregnancy - and the babies too (7lb, 7lb 12 oz, 9 lb 12 oz:eek: ) I'm hoping this little one is no bigger than it's big brother!!!!!!!!
Have you had a scan yet? When will you find out your dates? Goodluck :)
I am out of my normal clothes, which sort of happened gradually, except for one pair of trousers that were way too big before and always needed a belt. They don't need a belt now!! My shirts were the biggest problem from the start, due to massive boobage from the very beginning!!
My belly seems to go up and down. A few weeks ago it seemed to flatten for a day. It starts from the ribs and goes down in a curve rather than a bump. "Carrying high" would probably be what the old dears call it.
Speaking of old dears, I just found out that our cranky old dried up receptionist is one month older than me. I thought she was in her 40's. I look about ten years younger than her and definitely act it (if I do say so myself). :D

Wow! and I thought I had it bad with a 4kg baby!!! Were they all natural deliveries? Goodluck with the next one!!!:D
See, reason why my dates are all confused is because although I remember when my last period was (5th Nov), I don't have a 28 day cycle, so my doc sent me for an early U/S that put my dates back more than 2 weeks! But I'm measuring closer to my original dates, so on the 31st of March (figners-crossed) I should have a more definitive date and should also know what flavour I'm having! I think they'll find Im somewhere in between...maybe around 20th of August.

I had the boob thing too with my 1st and 4th. The sad thing is I'd had a boob reduction after my 3rd thinking it was going to be my last pregnancy. Little did I know that I'd get remarried and have more kiddies! This time my boobs have been increasing far more gradually and steadily, but so have my hips, thighs and butt.
So shed, are you planning more bubs after this one? How soon are you going for no. 2?

That's impressive! Look forward to more recent pics then!
No more for me Raffee, this is mummy's one and only little precious treasure.
i.e. spoilt brat
DP wants two, so there's some negotiations to be done. I asked him how he was going to manage that since I only want one and he replied "the same way I got this one".
Good point :o
Hey, does anyone else feel like they've been thwacked in the nose? My nose feels sort of sore, sinus-y or something, like I got water up my nose at some point. Its been like this for a couple of days.
Adele, update your pic, can't wait to see.

Yeah thats what I said before getting preggie again. See, I have 3 children from a previous marriage and was content with that, but when I got remarried, hubby desperately wanted a bub, so I compromised and had one ( my beautiful Thomas)...but here we are, 14 months on, and Im quite pregnant all over again.
So keep an open mind hun, you never know...:D
As for the sinusy thingy, I have that too.. its horrible, but then Im not feeling too great these days- very emotional, edgey, exhausted, and huge! :( Here's to a quick 5 months!!!!

raffee - Yep, they were all natural! The 1st being 36 hr labour (posterior), the 2nd 6.5 hr labour (and easiest) and the big boy (9lb12oz) was the quickest but the most work for obvious reasons.....lol....

Sounds like mine exactly! Ist was 36 hours and posterior (had to have an episiotomy as she became very distressed and I needed to get her out quick-smart, second was a walk in the park in comparison, also 6 hours or thereabouts and the third he had a huge head (i was pushing for the longest time) and was born just under 4kg.
The bad news is my 4th was 20 hours long...., so I'm scared out of my brains that this one is going to be a bad one too. Fingers crossed its not!!!!

raffee!!! Why did you tell me that  Here I was thinking number four would be the quickest! To tell you the truth, I have kind of been playing with the idea of maybe having a c-section if this baby is as big as the last - his shoulders got stuck and had to be manipulated out a little....ouch! But if bubs is under 9lb all should be good :fingerscrossed:

Adele, We are all in suspense waiting for you to post your new tummy picks!!! Maybe we've all caught up to you? :D
Why is it that there are so many ups and downs in this gestating thing?
I was so happy the other day to FINALLY being feeling little movements and now I realise that if they ever stop for too long I am going to start panicking, whereas before I felt them I wasn't worried about them stopping.
Grrr. Why can't I just RELAX? I have to find new things to worry about all the time.
All this stress can't be good for the baby! (Yes, I am worried about that too)

Ah Shed you sound so much like me.... I have a anterior placenta as well and some days will feel the babies movements then it could be 2-3 days before anything again I stressed like crazy about it then just when you least expect it there is that sweet reminder that all is well!!!
Oh, thanks for writing that, you have really helped.
On Saturday I felt bedoink bedoink bedoink, for about an hour or more.
Then yesterday just one faint blip when we were out shopping.
And today I can't feel anything.

shed and littlejoy
Please don't worry too much, I am in EXACTLY the same position (well my placenta is  ) as you girls. The anterior thing is a bit of a bummer but as we get further along we'll feel bubs more and more and more :yelclap:
I freak out sometimes because I feel the baby moving so much in a day and get so excited thinking that I'm at the stage where I'll feel the baby move each and every time and then basically nothing for a few days. If I'm lucky I'll feel maybe two kicks a day for a couple of days....makes me more than a little nervous.
Have you had that odd sensation of being kicked in the bladder area yet??? (Well I'm guessing that's where it is) You know it's a kick but it's so internal that it feels totally weird.
I haven't had that yet...something to look forward to
I am getting blips today, not quite as hard as a bedoink, but I sort of get a fright each time, like I forget that I am pregnant and think I am getting a tummy bug or something, except it doesn't hurt.

Its funny that you write that about the bladder... I woke up yesterday morning and told my DH that his son... kicked me in the bladder, didn't really hurt but I was laying in bed thinking that I needed to get up and go to the bathroom when the kick happened.. didn't help the situation.. the little bugger!!! ha ha ha
