If God is so loving why is there so much suffering?

This coming Sunday 3rd Feb, we have an open house meeting at our church. And this topic will be explored. Just thought I'd put it out there, as it is such a huge question. We're in the Campbelltown area in Sydney.

its a very interesting topic, one which i question often....But i think that God is loving and the bad things that happen in this world are a response of sin...a sinful world, and a world that constantly turns its back on God and his love...and i think that Bad things can also happen to bring people closer to God....thats what i think.

yeah, true. I'm looking forward to how my Pastor will unpack it, I find it to be a challenging question to answer sometimes.
