Over the past few months i have become rather interested in giving these cloth nappies a go, i have come across the toweling ones with the push studs and Flanalette ones with velcrow anyway back to the point.
i was in Bubs Baby Shops today(shhhhh kindaa promised id stay away for alil.)And i was looking at there range of re-useable nappies(not many i might add) and came across these ones called pea pods, they come in a various colours and are $19.95 each..
Thanks..

while i do like pea pods i prefer others.
pea pods are a great nappy for DD if i have someone else looking after her, MIL mainly becuase if she washes it i don't have to freak about it getting stuffed (OMG i would freak if she got to my Itti's, BPs....actually the list is to long of what i love to much to trust in others care :o) .
they are a good nappy and great to start out with becuase of the price

I find them pretty trim and absorbant on DS although a little boring without patterns. I however love the little bag they come in as I just pop it in my bag when on a short trip out incase I need to change a nappy.
Actually I think my DH likes these ones the best out of all the nappies we have  (maybe because they are one of the cheapest ones we have too :p)

They are a good 'start up your stash' nappy but to be completely honest the quality isn't all the greatest compared to other WAHM nappies.
I rather spend a few more extra dollars on something that has a better fit and better quality  Pea Pods are definitely not the bees knees of modern cloth nappies.

ive been using pea pods since DD was 6 months now 13months...They've fitted her like a glove and have been an excellent buy in my opinion.. Ive never had to go and buy any other kinds.. The fact you don't have to put any other covers over nappy is excellent value.. But definately buy 1-2 to trial. See how your bub goes first.. Some nappies suit bubs better than others!!

I bought a mixed stash when I first started and found that for my DD1 Pea Pods were the best fit, best absorbency and easiest for DH to use (which is great for me).
I think I have about 20 in my stash now. The colours are funky and they are a great everyday nappy. They are more on the cheaper side of the Wee Wuns website ($17.95) and when combined with the night booster they are a great night time nappy. The medium size is broad enough of a range to last from 8kg up to toilet training so I put DD2 straight from terry flats into them, which means no doubling up when they are outgrown. Also the snaps are great as it takes a lot of effort for a toddler to take their nappy compared to those that have velcro tabs.
I do enjoy my fancier nappies (BP, cushie-tushies, etc) but I LOVE my peapods and take great pride in them.

I personally wouldn't buy cotton (towelling or flannel) mcns. They aren't absorbent enough and I think they might put you off using mcns.
Our first venture into the world of mcns was a couple of terry fitteds which I used on DS for a couple of weeks and absolutely hated. I have found it was definately worth spending the extra on mcns as they are much more absorbent and last longer than the cheap ones you can buy at bigw and kmart.

$20 each nappy is quite cheap, also remember that the more expensive nappies generally have a really good re-sale value so you can get quite a bit back at the end.
