Natural Birth to me is - vaginal birth with no intervention, no medical pain relief...

I had a vaginal birth with brayden because i had my membranes ruptured and a bit of gas...

this time im planning a vaginal birth, no intervention, no medical pain relief (water/heat packs etc only) - that will be a natural birth IMO :)

Natural birth to me is as nature intended - no intervention, no pain relief and a vaginal birth :)

No intervention, absolutely no medical pain-relief and a vaginal birth.

Natural Birth= Doing it naturally the way it was intended.

I used to think natural birth just meant a vaginal birth- whether that be forceps, vacuum extraction, epidural, pethadine etc etc....

I now realise that a vaginal birth can be FAR from what I consider 'natural', just because it is a VB does not always mean it's natural.

NOW a natural birth means a vaginal birth with no intervention or drugs or anything. Completely natural.

Depends who you ask.
I asked the same question a while ago.
If natural birth is vb with no drugs or intervention then I'm guessing the % of women who have a natural birth is very VERY teeny.
Rightly or wrongly women have been using drugs for pain relief for labour for hundreds (possibly thousands) of years. This has included herbs, alcohol and a GA.
