Hi, not sure if this is the right section to post this in but I am soon to be a SAHM YAY!
In 15 days exactly! cant come any sooner.
I have a beacutiful 2 year old and I know this sounds very silly but what is a typical week for you guys for those of you who have a 2 or a 3 year old?
I have a car, we live close to the city...not that I would want to take her into down town Sydney!
We are zoo friends so I can take here there once a week for her to have a run around.
Its just that with 15 days to go suddenly the panic has set in and OMG...will I be able to occupy her fulltime?
Whats a typical week for you guys?

I try to structure our week so that we have one or two fun outings like playgroup or storytime at our local library.
Otherwise I get DD1 (almost 2 yrs) to help me around the house. We hang out the washing and tidy the house together. Outside play is good when the weather permits.
We do cooking, playing and whatever the mood requires. We also have quiet time with DVDs.
If you don't have a playgroup check out for any near your area cause it's a great break for you both.
Congrats on the new status

I'm on a farm, so I try and take DD to town at least 3 times a week, whether that be for a structured activity (playgroup, swimming lessons, reading group) or just to do the shopping (she LOVES grocery shopping!).
At home though, she helps me around the house, outside etc. I just talk to her and we sing and dance and read, she plays in the dirt and with the dog.
When I'm feeling energised (which isn't much these days) we'll do some sort of crafty thing.
Just get into a routine that works for you, if your little one is Happy to go with the flow then just slowly ease yourself into different social activities and outings. I dont like to plan to many outings for my 2yr old because nothing ever goes the way i thought it would.
My week is:
Twice a week we visit his little girlfriend at her house.
(she visits us the next week)
We go for two walks per day- park and 1 to the bakery for fresh bread.
We play in the house in the morning, have a nap after lunch, if i have to go shopping we do it after nap.
We play in the yard till about 4pm everyday.
We visit with as many of his little friends as possible but some of them he only sees once or twice a month.
Its sounds boring, but he's happy with the way we do things, and because i dont "plan" to many things we are always free to go where we want to.
sorry for ranting:ecomcity:

Hi there! Not long to go hey...yay!
Are you interested in the idea of daycare for the elder child for 1 or 2 days a week. It can really help give u some you time and special time with baby. Intergratiion with other kids is fabulous at this age. They love it. Daycare do activities with them that u cant do at home plus they have structured meal and sleep times which is great for them to start at that age also. My little man went to daycare for 2 days a week from 18 months old for his own benifit to mix with other kids his age, get direction from other adults besides us, and it also gave me a few days to myself! He starts prep next yr so I will get the days with baby like I had with him.
Its a personal choice but its a great option for a few days a week, especially when you are having another baby to get to know!!
All the best..
