A Q for all the depo girls....

I had the depo-provera (sp?) injection about 6 weeks or so ago & I was just wondering if you get your period still, how heavy it is & how often?

I seem to have my period, but it's just pinkish mucas... (tmi sorry) :confused:

I didn't get a period for a long time then one day started bleeding very lightly and it went on for 3 months so I went back to the pill.
There was a thread not very long ago on this same issue, not sure what the heading was though for you to search.

It's called break-through bleeding. When I was on Depo, I had the bleeding through the first 3 months, quite a bit less the next 3 and then none after that. I did find that if I got the shot at 13 weeks, the bleeding got worse, but if I got it at 10 weeks I had no problems at all.

I was one of the lucky ones who when i had my first shot i had a very light period the first month then nothing afterwards & the same with consecutive shots.
If you feel as though something isnt right head back to the doctors there is no harm in just having things checked out for your own peace of mind.

when i first got the shot i bled for the whole first month really heavy so i went back to the drs and they gave me a top up shot. then i used to have a period maybe every 3-4 months. i have been back on it after the birth of my dd and i seem to be having more regular periods this time. but everyones different. :thumbsup:
