Hi all,

My twin girls have just started Yr 1 today and I have just got home and I am feeling really lost and sad:(
They have been excited about starting school and couldn't wait to get there and see there freinds from Prep last year and meet there new teacher.

But I am here with my 3 yr old DS and 16 month DD and I know I am going to enjoy the day with the little ones but Im just really lost - I guess after just having the school hols and doing lost of things with all 4 children, I am just missing them already:( and it will take a little while to get back into a school routine

Does anyone else feel like this today with school starting or is it just me being silly????

Sorry about the rant

Jane...

:hugs: I am sure you will get back into the routine soon and not feel so lost.
My DD started in year 1 today too. this time I was compleatly fine with it (had a few tears last year in prep :() I am actually likeing the quiet because there is no one to fight with DS.

Did your DD's go off ok?

It can be a strange feeling when they go back to school. Kind of like coming home from a holiday and feeling like you don't belong.
Suddenly the days "feel" different, like there is a hole there somewhere.

I know our DS#2 is already missing his big brother and sister. They played together so much over the holidays and now he just has me-and the dog, who seems to be copping a lot of rough play right now!

Oh :hugs: At least you aren't totally alone! I always made sure I had stuff planned to do that day, especially the day the first and last ones started school. Ive seen too many mothers who can't cope and fall in a heap when their first or last goes to school.

I think you miss the older ones cos they are such helpful, interesting little people!
