Here's the details at babies galore - http://www.babiesgalore.com.au/view_product_new.php?productid=1932&returnUrl2=%2Fshow_product_search.php%3Fsearchtype %3Dcategory%26categoryid%3D39 and it says that it is ok up to 11.3kg. My ds is 1 and he's not 11.3kg at the moment (and he's big), so it will last (weight wise) for a long time.

I thoroughly recommend an electric swing and that one looks great. I got one when Josh was about 5 months old and he stopped wanting to use it when he was about 9 months old. Josh was a bit hard to settle and he was really happy in his swing - I wish I'd got one earlier!

my DS is exactly 11.3kg now at 2yr3m so it will last ages!!

but yep, i couldnt have lived without my swing in the first 4-6months, it was a lifesaver!

It goes on weight, but generally 12 to 18 months. Developmentally though they seem to outgrown these things before they physically outgrow them

I have the fisher price flutterbye swing and I could not reccomend them highly enough. They are an absolute life saver! Best $180 I ever spent.

Ty had colic and slept upwards... so he often slept in it... if he was over tired and nothing else would put him to sleep... the swing would... dead set he lived in it!

Assuming you don't have a big baby that is. I loved my swing, but my big boy had well and truly got too heavy for it at about 8 months old (he was almost 10kg at 5 months!). Still worth it thought.
