Hi
My DP gets paid monthly so I try and shop only once a month, just wondering if anyone else does? I also do a monthly menu and use this for my shopping list, does anyone use FAL to do there bulk shopping and is it worth it?

i get monthly pays too but try stretch it out but i do buy the basics in bulk like pasta flour, sugar, etc anything that lasts. I always buy the bigger tins of baked beans and put the left overs in a container in the fridge, pasta sauce i buy the big jars and freeze half or use the rest of it a few days later. It all adds up in the long run, its just getting started where it hurts :)
my mum has a 20% card at cash n carry we used to go halves in lots of stuff but its to far to go there now, things like boxes of 24 packs of things like cleaning and dry foods etc

She used to own a cafe and cash and carry is like a place where you can get stuff cheaper if you buy by the slab or box. Say 24 packs of sugar at around 90 cents each instead of 1.20 etc. The only catch is you have to buy the box, its great if you have a few freinds. She had the 20% discount card as she was a business, it ranged from 15-20% off. You could get cleaning stuff, food etc nothing for babies though but coffee, tea things like that if they had a good expiry date you could stock up and then when you went shopping all you would really need to get was dairy and fresh fruit and meat. I can ask her more about if it you like
