We were still in shock...the bottom right has finally cut through. I've noticed this morning there's 'white' line on the right jaw...so we are waiting for another one *groan*
Is there anything to help to ease my baby's pain? He seems alright mind you, happy as always but we have noticed that he's little bit unsettle during night, he's drooling like mad plus he chews his both fists and we had to give him dummy because he doesn't know how to hold something just yet, plus he isnt on solid food yet.
It is us who's having headache feeling sorry for the lil fella! :o
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

ps. boring weather we have here in North Sydney...grey and cold. 'Tis such unkind weather for going trough the teething!

Hi
You could try panadol at night to help him sleep. Otherwise try Bonjela (a gel that you put on his gums to make them numb). Or buy some teething rusks and let him chew on those.

We found that panadol and bonjela worked a treat. Our first son cut his first tooth at 14 weeks and our second son cut his first at 15 weeks. Not sure what age you can start to use Nurofen but it seems to work for about 8 hours so is good to use at night if you can with that age but it is worth looking into.
Good luck.
try putting a washer in the freezer for a couple of minutes and letting him suck on it - the coolness can be really calming. There is also a teething relief all natural that you can get from most chemists it's called BRAUER TEETHING RELIEF. Don't be afraid to use panadol either, I recently had my wisdom tooth out and it was a gentle reminder how much teeth can hurt, whether being taken out or growing.
Before you start dosing him up, wait and see if he is unhappy. My eldest daughter produced most of her teeth without any side effects, apart from drooling. Then she cut four teeth in one week and we noticed how unhappy she was and the panadol made a big difference. Nurofen is great but you can't use that for babies under 6 months and only use it under 12 months if your doctor says it is okay (can't remember why).
My 7 month old is cutting teeth at the moment and we find that when she wakes unsettled in the night panadol works, but we don't dose her up in anticipation as she doesn't wake unsettled every night.
So - let him guide you. And don't worry too much about the drooling - my girls drooled for months before getting teeth and it didn't appear to have anything to do with teeth - more a side effect of them still learning to swallow properly.
Good luck - for your own headache I recommend panadol, chocolate and other comfort food!

just a quick note, it is never too young to get teeth, i was born with a tooth fully through. they said that i would losse it but i did not till i started lossing my other teeth.

Thomas is doing fine, restless at some night but thats just about it...and we have decided not to give him anything but lotsa cuddles and love as always, because he's too young for thing like Bonjela (for age 4 months or older only), no biscuits as he's not into solid food just yet...
But lotsa of chocolate for my husband & i as suggested by Theresa/thread, it works like magic! :D
Thanks for y'all helps!
Happy Mother's Day to you all :p
