My husband and I have always managed to get away on our anniversary or nearby it (except when I was just about to pop out a kid) and this year I thought it'd be nice to do a quick long-weekender just somewhere nice... even a nice cabin grounds or something.

ANYWAY, anniv. is at the end of June, and I don't REALLY want to go to a hotel just to be cooped up as there's nothing to do.. especially with Cobes - who'll be just about two.

So there's the challenge, somewhere in driving distance from Brisbane, with something fun/family to do with a toddler/terror ;)

Cheers :D

Hi

Depending on how far you want to travel you could head up to Dayboro way cause they have a few B&B's and farmstay things up that way. I found a few when I was looking for a wedding venue and they sounded pretty good - lots of fresh air for the littlie! Dayboro is prob about 45 min north of Brisbane CBD.

Good luck with finding somewhere!
Cheers, Shaz :D

What about O'Reilly's in Lamington National Park...it's an great spot to take little ones and it's about 1.5hrs from Brisbane I guess. It's in the Gold Coast hinterland.
We got married up there, gorgeous cabins up in the mountains...you can go on great walks, feed the birds...it's very "family" orientated, but peaceful and quiet too. We loved it can't wait to go back :D

Our anniversaries will always have to be gwen friendly, because he birthday is the day after our anniversary.

If you find somewhere nice, let me know :D

Come to Noosaville  Anywhere along Gympie Tce is perfect for a toddler
Gorgeous Noosa River, lovely parks all along the river with playgrounds and picnic tables with sublime views, lovely toddler friendly cafes ( I should know, I am a frequent patron with toddler and baby in tow), quiet beach with no waves :)
Boat hire for a quiet putt putt around :)
